               This is a high school campus where the guys and the girls are divided into classes of their own gender.  The guys are in one building and the girls are in another building.  In the middle is a corridor that separates the two buildings like the 38^th parallel line that separates North and South Korea.  The Director of Student Affairs is always standing guard at the middle line to prevent the guys and the girls from stepping over their boundaries.

               School life on campus is like one county with two government systems.  Whenever lunch time comes around or when classes end, the guys would wolf down their lunches and mutually take each other’s things to eat.  They would noisily chase each other around and act childishly.  On the other side, the girls are lightly chatting and laughing.  Each and every one is graceful and beautiful; the picture of a perfect heavenly fairyland scene.

               Ah Jie could often secretly peep over to the see the activities from the other school building.  He is filled with curiosity toward the females.  Their every action and every expression would trigger the fantasy of a young teen in his puberty year.

               One hot and stuffy night, Ah Jie had a strange nightmare.  He suddenly wakens and discovers that he had a wet dream.

               Filled with annoyance and helplessness, Ah Jie can’t imagine why this would happen.  Turning his head, his looks at his computer which is turned on.  The chat box on MSN is still open and recorded on it is the conversation between himself and a girl called Qiao.  He remembers that he had a very happy conversation with her last night and he’s not sure if this has anything to do with his dream.  Could it be that this is love?

               As a result, that morning, Ah Jie’s youth kindles brightly as he is washing his underwear and fantasizing.

               Ah Jie grows up from an ordinary single-parent family.  Ordinary homework, ordinary home.  His father is always worrying about money.  As a result, Ah Jie has to use his free time after school to work and make money to help out with the family expenses.

               Still riding his bicycle to school, the minute that Ah Jie steps into the classroom, he is surrounded by his buddies.  Known as his three best buddies, the first one is the smart Di Qiu, who leaves even the teacher dumbfounded with the way he solves the equations on the blackboard.  The second one is muscled man, Ah Bi, who takes joy in body training and is great with sports.  The last one is Xiao Xin/Du Jian Xin who names himself a master with getting girls and loves secretly looking at pornographic magazines.

               His buddies notice that there is something strange with Ah Jie which they relate with the dissatisfied expression on his face.  Ah Jie looks flustered and it seems as if he is trying to hide some kind of secret. The three guys feel that there is something fishy going on but Ah Jie strongly denies that there is nothing going on.  Under his buddies’ intense interrogation, Ah Jie has no choice but to reveal that he will be meeting with a girl that he has meet online this week.  A burst of resentment from his buddies and an out of control strength cause Ah Jie to be hit on the most vulnerable part of his body.

               Ah Jie is carried into the medical office.  Seeing the sexy and bountiful nurse, Ah Jie couldn’t keep himself from blushing and his heart rate from increasing.  Busy coming up with reasons for Ah Jie’s injury, his buddies all come up with different excuses for why Ah Jie is injured at that “particular part” of his body.  They created many jokes but the nurse is aware of what is going on.  Smiling, she takes an ice pack and puts it on Ah Jie’s injury.

               While the nurse is away, his buddies chase Ah Jie for details.  Ah Jie expresses that he met this girl from an online chartroom.  They have been chatting on MSN for 3 months and this girl’s nickname is Qiao (translates to Tall.)  The usually talk about literature and interesting things that happened.  They are just simply making friends so they never asked about each other’s height or weight or asked one another for a picture.

               The 3 guys are salivating as they listen to Ah Jie talk.  They’re not too happy that Ah Jie has kept this all to himself for so long.  Talking all at once, they warn Ah Jie that he might have fallen into a trap or perhaps this girl is ugly.  Or worst, she’s Gay.  Ah Jie doesn’t believe any of it and one by one raise proves to overthrow their suggestions.

               Ah Jie believes that Qiao is not a bad person and that she will not deceive him.  Actually even if she is ugly, it doesn’t matter.  They can still be friends.  However, his buddies tell him to stop acting as the good guy.  Under their interrogation, Ah Jie truthfully tells them that in his heart, he hopes that Qiao is a beautiful girl.

               Xiao Xin mysteriously pulls out a condom and gives it to Ah Jie in case he has a need for it.  Everyone is startled while Xiao Xin starts talking about the “open and bold female theory.”  As they listen, they all get dry mouthed and Ah Jie hurts his injury once again and the pain causes him to cry out loudly.

               After returning home from school, father and son are sitting on the sofa.  They are used to not cooking and eating take out while watching TV.  During the commercial, Ah Jie suddenly asks his father a question: “How did you meet mother?”

               Father Zhao says that they met through their friends’ introduction.  The story didn’t sound romantic at all.  Ah Jie feels that his father seems to hastily want to stop this embarrassing subject.

               After a little while, it is Father Zhao’s turn to ask a question.  It turns out that he notices Ah Jie’s underwear which is hanging out to dry on the balcony and he is wondering about his son’s development condition.  He is embarrassed to say it out loud and keeps on beating around the bush while Ah Jie also tries to skirt around the topic.  At the end, Father Zhao asks Ah Jie to exercise more and study hard but Ah Jie seems to have turned a deaf ear to his father.

               Ah Jie returns to his room and couldn’t concentrate on his homework.  He just stares at the condom and all he hears are the things that Xiao Xin warned him about.  In the end, he throws the condom into the trash can and hastily gets into bed to sleep.

               That night, he has another dream.  However this time, it is not a lustful dream.  He dreams of himself at the hospital delivery room where the doctor tells him that he is about to become a father.  He sees an unattractive girl holding a baby on the bed.  Ah Jie panics as the girl’s parent rushes into the room with the police officer and accuses Ah Jie of having sex with an underage girl and arresting him.

               Ah Jie is taken out of the hospital and is immediately surrounded by reporters.  Father Zhao shows up wearing a mask and a fisherman’s hat crying for Ah Jie’s innocence, saying that it is the girl who took the initiative.  He even helps Ah Jie to put a paper bag over his head and under all the flashlights, Ah Jie gets pushed into the police car.

               Ah Jie wakes up from his dream sweating from fright.  After struggling internally for a long time, Ah Jie recovers the condom from the trash can.

               The day to meet Qiao finally arrives and Ah Jie heads to this date with disturbed feelings.  Waiting at the downtown street corner, he discovers an unattractive girl staring and walking towards him.  He turns around to try to slip away but the girl chases after him and almost scares him out of his wits.  It turns out that she was really not looking for him but meeting up with another guy.

               Just when he breathes a sigh of relief, the real Qiao shows up.  Her appearance and quality startles Ah Jie.  After a simple conversation, he finds out that her given name is Xia Nian Qiao.  Ah Jie’s heart suddenly beats with eager excitement.  Without any prior love experience, he temporarily didn’t know where to go and just clumsily says that he wants to treat Nian Qiao to a drink.

               Ah Jie finds a fast food restaurant and after ordering, he tries to be a gentlemen and fights to pay.  Nian Qiao gracefully turns him down and during the confusion, the condom unexpectedly falls out of Ah Jie’s wallet.  For a split second, the cashier and the other guests all stare at Ah Jie and Nian Qiao.  A small child innocently asks his parent what that thing is.

               Ah Jie awkwardly tries to explain but the other people are using strange looks to size up Nian Qiao.  Seeing how everyone is whispering quietly while looking at her, Nian Qiao feels extremely humiliated and she furiously turns around and leaves.

               Xia Nian Qiao is actually the daughter of a wealthy family whom everyone admires.  Her family is rich but her parents are always busy with work and hardly ever home.  The girls often go to Nian Qiao’s house to get together, apply facials and talk.

               Fuming with anger, when Nian Qiao returns home, she immediately calls her best buddies to come out and they also follow her order.  Her three buddies include gossiper You Jia, flirty Bei Bei, and tomboy Hao Zi.  Nian Qiao tells them about her meeting with Ah Jie and her buddies each express their own views of the situation.

               They all want to get revenge for Nian Qiao and ask her about Ah Jie’s personal information.  They plan to post it online and warn the rest of the female population in the country about this pervert.  Yet Nian Qiao expresses that they never talked about that.  In other words, she doesn’t know anything about Ah Jie’s origins.

               The next day, Ah Jie meets up with his buddies and hears about his embarrassing date yesterday.  One after another they tease and laugh at him which makes Ah Jie feel even worst.  Xiao Xin comforts Ah Jie saying that there are other fishes in the ocean.  He immediately proposes a bold plan and that is to head over to the corridor where the middle line is and attempt to meet some girls from the other building.

               Unfortunately when Ah Jie and the guys arrive at the corridor’s middle line, the first group of girls that show up turns out to be Nian Qiao and her friends.

               Enemies often cross paths.  The atmosphere gets awkward between Ah Jie and Nian Qiao.  From Ah Jie and Nian Qiao’s expressions, both group of buddies figured out what is going on.  The girls immediately start scolding Ah Jie, calling him a pervert, shameless and vulgar.  The guys don’t want to show their weakness and each speaks up for Ah Jie.  Each side is yelling loudly and the situation seems to be getting out of hand.

               At this time, the shadow of the Director of Student Affairs appears in a distant.  Everyone sees that this is a bad situation to be in and quickly disperses.

               Afterwards, the girls continue on with their discussion.  At first Nian Qiao didn’t want to have anything to do with Ah Jie anymore but the girls are set on getting justice.  They decide to teach Ah Jie a lesson and ruin his reputation on campus.

               Xiao Xin rushes over to the basketball court with some information that he received and he tells Ah Jie and the others about Nian Qiao and her friends’ background.  He feels extremely sorry for what happened to Ah Jie.  Ah Bi and Di Qiu attempts to comfort Ah Jie but it actually get him even more down.  Suddenly the Director of Student Affairs appear in the background and drags Ah Jie off to the office.

               Ah Jie doesn’t understand what is going on so once they reach the office, the Director pulls out an anonymous letter.  The letter reveals Ah Jie’s inappropriate behavior off campus.

               This letter causes Ah Jie to be punished.  The Director forces Ah Jie to stand in the corridor carrying a bucket over his head as punishment.  The teachers and students who pass by would give him strange looks causing Ah Jie to be totally humiliated.  The Director even calls Father Zhao to school over this matter.  They both talk about disciplinary actions.  Father Zhao is filled with shame and keeps on apologizing for his son.

               Since that day, when Ah Jie sees Nian Qiao online, he would try to send her messages and try to explain himself.  However, Nian Qiao doesn’t want to pay any attention to Ah Jie.  At first, she wanted to delete Ah Jie’s name from her contact list but she hesitated and only blocks his name.

               Seeing Nian Qiao sign offline, Ah Jie feels very disappointed.  At this time, Father Zhao knocks on his door.  Ah Jie hastily switches off the monitor and pretends to be studying.  Father Zhao pretends to be relaxed and brings up the matter about the condom.  Ah Jie attempts to explain but Father Zhao puts on this attitude of he-understands-no-need-to-explain.  In the end, Father Zhao hands Ah Jie a whole stack of books on sex education and their conversation ends awkwardly.

               Vacation arrives.  Without any girlfriends, the 4 guys meet up at the skateboarding court.  They attempt to be cool with playing this extreme sport.  At first they want to attract the attention of girls, but because their skills are really bad, they keep on making a fool of themselves and the girls look down on them.

               Ah Jie tells his friends that he wants to go to Nian Qiao and explain to her.  Yet Di Qiu and Ah Bi believe that it is not necessary.  At this time, Xiao Xin stands up for Ah Jie and reveals Di Qiu and Ah Bi’s envious attitude.  Ah Jie just wants to explain everything to Nian Qiao so that he could clear this misunderstanding between them.  He gathers his courage and asks Nian Qiao out.

               He tells his buddies about his decision.  At first, he just wanted to listen to their suggestions but Di Qiu finds out that the anonymous letter was sent by Nian Qiao and her friends.  His buddies urge Ah Jie to show Nian Qiao what he is made of when he meets with her.

               On the other side, Nian Qiao and her friends are also discussing her meeting with Ah Jie.  The girls believe that this might be a trap and that Nian Qiao has to put her guard up.

               The day for their negotiation meeting arrives.  Before she heads off to the meeting, Nian Qiao and the girls prepare a bottle of pepper spray, a whistle, an electric stick, etc…  Ah Jie and the guys prepare a baseball bat, a chain stick, a car lock, etc…  The scene appears as if they are gangsters getting ready for a fight and both sides get ready to head out to the meeting place.

               The guys and the girls each sit on one side.  Face-to-face, they start their negotiations.  Ah Jie wants to apologize to Nian Qiao but the more he tries to explain, the worst it gets.  In the end, both side parts on bad terms and each left some harsh words behind.

               The next day, Ah Jie dejectedly goes off to school.  He discovers a crowd of people in front of the bulletin board.  It turns out that the school will be setting up an experiment class.  This experiment will include both guys and girls studying in the same class to teach everyone how to get along with the opposite sex.

               Ah Jie and his buddies all get elected to be placed into this experiment class.  Before they could get too happy over this, they see that Nian Qiao and her friends will also be in the same class.  They are actually going to become classmates.

               Like fire and water, both sides would be completely unable to coexist peacefully which causes the teacher lots of headaches.  When it is time to elect the class president, both the guys and the girls launched their first war.  The girls voted for Nian Qiao and the guys voted for Ah Jie.  Unfortunately, Ah Jie lost and even the guys voted for Nian Qiao.

               Seeing the bad situation they are in, Xiao Xin and the others rally up the male students.  They try hard to arouse their masculine dignity.  The male students agree after some thinking and decide to fight against the girls.  Both sides launch into succession of confrontations, each with their wins and losses.

               A long day finally ends.  Ah Jie and the guys are thinking about how to beat the girls.  However, they all get dragged away into an alley by a group of senior students.  It turns out that they find out that this experiment would affect whether their whole school system would turn into mixed gender classes in the future.  As a result, the senior students threaten Ah Jie and his friends to do a good job because this will affect the welfare of all the male students in the future.

               After the senior students left, Ah Jie and his buddies come to their own conclusion of what just happened.  They believe that to do a good job means to put pressure on the female students so that they will always be submissive under the feet of the male students.  This way, in the future, after the guys and girls are all mixed up in the same class, all the male students would be grateful of everything that they have done.

               The school’s annual charity fair is about to be held.  For the harmony of this experiment class, the teacher hopes that the guys and the girls would work together to create a good stand.  However, both sides decide to do their own thing and there was nothing the teacher can do about it.

               Regarding Nian Qiao and her buddies as the leader, the female students decide to open up a sexy girl kitchen stand and regarding Ah Jie and his buddies as the leader, the male students decide to open up a haunted house stand.  Both sides make a declaration of war.  Whoever makes the most money on competition day, the loser will have to comply with anything that the winner wants in the classroom without any objections whatsoever.  Since this effects their dignity, neither side wants to lose.  They will do their best to win!

               On the day of the charity fair, both sides some up with all sorts of tricks in order to get customers.  Ah Jie’s buddies come up with some strange moves.  Anyone who shows up to their stand will receive free CD and this was a very successful trick for them.  Nian Qiao’s buddies are not willing to lose and their trick of giving away free kisses is even more successful.  Their sales skyrocket.  During this bitter battle, in the end, even the male students in their class betrayed them.  The only ones left at the haunted house stand is Ah Jie and his buddies and they can’t get away from this destiny of going out of business.

               The female students win and happily celebrate.  Someone suggests going over to Ah Jie and his buddies and humiliate them.  As a result, Nian Qiao gets dragged over to the haunted house stand by her friends.  They arrive in front of the haunted house stand and discover that it is extremely quiet all around.

               Hao Zi smiles and says that maybe Ah Jie and the guys are hiding inside and crying over their defeat.  The girls decide to use their cell phone cameras to take a picture of the guys crying ad so they rushed inside.

               Nian Qiao and her friends enter the haunted house.  It is very dark and gloomy inside and the girls start getting a bit afraid.  They walked and walked.  One by one, You Jia, Bei Bei and Hao Zi gets dragged away by a ghost.  In the end, Nian Qiao is left all by herself.  She is stranded inside and couldn’t get out.  She is beginning to get more and more worried.

               It turns out that this is a trap set up by Ah Jie’s buddies.  One guy takes over one girl.  Ah Jie would be responsible for Nian Qiao.  However, seeing Nian Qiao’s pitiful appearance, Ah Jie couldn’t bring himself to do it.  He takes off the scary mask and decides to gather up his courage to explain to Nian Qiao.

               Seeing Ah Jie show up, Nian Qiao is scared at first.  Later, when she sees that he has no evil intentions, they both awkwardly look at each other.  Inside this secluded atmosphere within the haunted house, they both finally said what is truly in their hearts.  They have no intention of causing this opposition between the male and female students.  Ah Jie and Nian Qiao didn’t know that their views are the same.  They look at each other and smile.  Their misunderstanding finally clears up.

               Ah Jie still wants to say something to Nian Qiao.  Suddenly his three buddies in their disguises hastily rush out.  They are being chased by the other girls and quickly pull Ah Jie to run away from the haunted house.

               At first glance, this misunderstanding seems to have temporarily ended.  However, the biggest campus gender war is in fact just starting…
