Introduction:  Nicknamed Ah Chu.  Because of her father’s successful business, her parents have held her as the apple in the eyes since she was young.  All the things that a rich family’s daughter should learn, like ballet and piano, she would study.  However, she is extremely interested in martial arts and Tae Kwon Do.  She appears to be a beautiful princess but she doesn’t like to see the small and weak being bullied in front of her.  Her proud temperament, her nimble fist and foot, always loves to “lend a hand to those who need help.”  A huge fire during her childhood took away the parents who loved her dearly.  From then on, Ah Chu must live with her grandfather, Yin Tian Zheng, whom she has never seen and start her “martial arts life.”

Introduction:  College student.  Approximately 180 cm in height.  He is someone who is frank, simple and honest, and not very good at handling interpersonal relationships.  He is always coming and going by himself and doesn’t understand how to style or dress himself.  He grew up from a small fishing village and is raised by his widowed mother.  Compared with others, he is a bit slow when he is learning things.  Seeing what a hard life his mother lives and not willing to let him help out, he has made a promise that he will “let his mother live a good life and not suffer any more hardships.”  He knows his grades are not that good, but he is great with sports.  Therefore, he wants to become a gym teacher with a steady income.  With many obstacles along the road, he steps foot into the advertising circle which he has never thought about.  Afterwards, he signed a contract with “Tian Yi” Modeling Agency and starred in his first drama ever “Fly! Fly! Dandelion.”

Introduction:  He was originally the community’s small bully but he couldn’t dominate the small and mean Ah Chu.  After he is subdued by Ah Chu, he admires her very much.  From then on, they become neighbors and good friends.  He appears very smart and good-looking and is very popular with the female population.  Several times he seems to have accidentally expressed his feelings to Ah Chu, but she always regards it as a joke that he is playing and let it go at that.  He has no choice but to step back and let Ah Chu continue to regard him as one of her best buddies.

Introduction:  A sweet celebrity and “Fly! Fly! Dandelion’s” leading lady.  A singer and entertainment artist who was brought to stardom when she was 15/16 years old.  Under her beautiful and sweet appearance, she faces the entertainment circle with an experienced, haughty attitude that is unknown to others.  However, this is all due to the fact that she became a famous idol singer at such a young age.  The biggest goal in her life is to become the focus point of where the spotlight will shine.  “Fly! Fly! Dandelion” is a major annual drama that she is participating in.  She sees Norman’s hard work and honest attitude at the filming location and gradually develops feelings for him.

Introduction:  Ah Chu’s grandfather and is Ah Chu’s only family member after she is 10 years old.  He did not have a good relationship with his only son and daughter-in-law.  He was mad that his son gave up martial arts to become a businessman.  They have not been in contact for many years.  Until his son and daughter-in-law died in the fire that’s when he brought Ah Chu to his side and raised her.  He has great martial skills that he keeps hidden.  He is open-minded, optimistic, goes along with nature and likes to sit along the side and stare at pictures of beautiful women in the books.  He always has the attitude that things don’t concern him or “things are really not that serious.”  However, he is observing each and every person beside him and would always point them in the right direction at the appropriate time.  He loves Jin Yong’s novels and always turns the people that are around him into characters from Jin Yong’s novels.  The words that he says would be very heroic and old fashion too.

Introduction:  “Fly! Fly! Dandelion’s” leading actor.  Is handsome and tall.  He has an ambitious heart and is an artist whom Bao Dian Production Company highly regards.  They matched him up with the “sweet princess,” Wang Zhi Er to participate in the major annual drama “Fly! Fly! Dandelion.”  However, a succession of news on Norman almost causes him, this leading actor, to be forgotten…  As a result, unwilling to let Norman steal his spotlight, Qin Lang starts to harbor resentment towards him.  Later he even uses some methods to attack Norman to protect his own status.

Introduction:  Gui Wa’s grandma.  She has been a widower for many years.  Although she is old, she is very good at dressing up.  She is graceful and has a lively, kindhearted personality.  She is also very skillful at ballroom dancing.  She operates a student dormitory and Ping Zhi is one of her tenants.  She takes very good care of him.  The carefree and charming Grandma Xiao Chun is well-known in the community as being a “grandpa killer” (meaning she is very popular among the elderly men.)  She is also the sweetheart of Yin Tian Zheng’s dreams.

Introduction:  Tian Yi Modeling Agency’s manager, Xiao Ba’s manager.  He loves money, filled with flattery, and is a good for nothing manager.  After Ping Zhi becomes famous, he happily starts to expand the company.  When all the other models left his company, Ping Zhi is the only one who stayed behind.  Only then did he make up his mind to truly promote Ping Zhi and become a true manager.

Introduction:  Gui Wa’s girlfriend.  Impulsive, she never thinks before she does anything and believes that she is a person whose self-awareness is strong.  On the surface, she seems to possess a strong dream of becoming a star.  She often appears with Gui Wa in and out of “Like to Buy Don’t Buy” in hopes of being noticed by directors and producers so that she can become famous.  She isn’t liked by everyone but because she is Gui Wa’s girlfriend, they accept her all thanks to Gui Wa being their buddy.  Actually, she really likes Gui Wai and seeing how Gui Wa is always so caring towards Ah Chu, therefore, all her “evil conduct” is done to bring Gui Wa’s attention to herself.  It could be said that she wants to find her own self-worth.

Introduction:  Bao Dian Production Company’s boss.  He imitates “Zhou Dong’s” name and forces others to call him “Dong Dong.”  However, seeing his chubby form, they would call him “ㄉㄨ ㄞ ㄉ ㄨ ㄞ” behind his back.  He has a very snobbish and selfish manner.  He will only be interested in those people and things that are helpful to him.

Introduction:  Ping Zhi’s mother.  A hardworking, strong, and good mother.  She shucks oysters at the fish market and so her hands are always red and swollen and painful.  Yet she refuses to let Ping Zhi come to the oyster stall to help out.  Although they live in such a difficult environment, but she always maintains a carefree and happy manner.  She believes that the most important thing is to have a good conscience and for this reason, she raises Ping Zhi to be such a simple and honest person.  She really didn’t have any sort of education and is not really good with talking but she still knows what it means to set an example and be an honest person.

Introduction:  Hao Zi and Ah Xiang are two assistants at Bao Dian Production Company.  They always like to express their powers at any place.  They are very polite and well-mannered towards the Director, Ma Lian and the company’s moneymakers, Wang Zhi Er and Qin Lang and shower them with flatteries.  Yet towards the quiet Norman, ordinary characters, or the assistant staffs, they would put on a big boss attitude and act mean and rude towards them.

Introduction:  “Fly! Fly! Dandelion’s” director.  She appears a bit chubby with a fierce personality and filled with a heroic air around her.  At the filming location, the assistants will all work very hard while she takes all the credit and finally gets to sit in the director’s seat.  In this type of an environment, she sets an example for everyone.  She sets strict rules and therefore, requests the best work from the staff and from the artists.

Introduction:  Norman’s assistant.  His given name is Zhang Wu Ji and is the eighth assistant in the company, hence his name Xiao Ba.  Simple-minded, attentive, responsible, enthusiastic and energetic.  He is a big fan of martial arts novels much like Yin Tian Zheng.

Introduction:  His given name is Chen Xiao Ming and is Ah Chu and Gui Wa’s good friend.  Their friendship is like of the Three Swordsmen.  He is kindhearted, honest, and has great basketball skills.  However, aside from being good at sports, he is not considered to have the brains.  He is not good with words but he would often have a weird sixth sense and at times, it would be very accurate too.  He doesn’t talk a lot and when he does open his mouth, he would stutter and not know what to say.  His girlfriend, Hua Hua would be able to speak on his behalf and be his translator.

Introduction:  Her given name is Pan Duo La.  Tiao Tou’s big chest girlfriend.  Because her mother used to be a glamorous star, under this influence, she would have more insight on the entertainment circle than regular people.  She would often say something that is very knowledgeable and experienced.
