(portrayed by Barbie Xu) – Yu Xin Lei’s happy life is dazzling and brilliant.

            As a child, she has lived a happy and smooth life while living with her parents in Shanghai.  She, who is born into a rich family, possesses all the natural ability that a princess is supposed to have: beauty and even more beauty – beauty is the highest etiquette there is!  Naturally, she also has a princess’s personality:  she only knows the results and doesn’t care about the process.  Romantically naďve, she believes that there are only black and white aspects in this world and she insists on being frank and straightforward in all things!

            With regards to the princess’s internal and external beauty, Xin Lei plays her part to perfection.  Like a rose in a greenhouse, Xin Lei often talks to herself, using her own “inexperience” to read other people’s ideas, opinions and intentions.  As a result, this dazzling princess would often come up with conclusions and actions that would shock others!

            Occasionally, Xin Lei is scatterbrained, a bit spoiled, but she is absolutely kind-hearted.  She would dare to put her words into action and when she sees any injustice done, she would stand up to it.  On the other hand, her self pride is very high, and she would always be showing her confidence to others.

            When her family falls on bad times and even though she is being forced by poverty, yet she still strongly holds up.  As a result, many funny situations arise, but in her heart, she clearly knows that she, Yu Xin Lei, no matter what distressful situation she is under, walking under the sunlight, forever holding her head high, is a princess.

(portrayed by Alan Luo Zhi Xiang) – Qin Lang’s life is a busy journey where he is chasing his dream.

            People say that a poverty-stricken life may result in a strong will – Qin Lang is an example of this.  With his father missing and his mother dying early, he was left to spend his life with his grandma.  When other kids are holding out their hands to their parents for money to buy “Nintendo”, he is actually helping his grandma sell oyster omelettes at the night market.

            Qin Lang is very simple-minded and therefore, is always being deceived.  However, he still chooses to believe those people who have deceived him, because believing in others would make him happy!  Qin Lang is very “kind-hearted.”  Sometimes when he makes his grandma angry and she chases him to beat him up, he would deliberately run slowly so that she can catch up to him and give him a bashing!  Qin Lang is very optimistic.  He believes that “When one works hard, then there will definitely be good outcomes!”

            But what is this so-called “working hard” that Qin Lang is referring to?  It all stems from the artistic talent that Qin Lang has inherited from his father.  Qin Lang likes to draw and through his drawings, he is able to communicate with the people who admire his work and even gets them to be in a happier and lighter mood!  From then on, Qin Lang has found the direction for his hard work.  However, it seems as if Qin Lang’s luck is not too good.  Deceived by his friend, Qin Lang arrives in Shanghai.  His plane ticket and money is all gone and he has to sell oyster omelettes in Shanghai in order to earn the money necessary to return to Taipei.  During this difficult time away from home, Qin Lang never imagined that he would meet a dazzling girl whom none can compare with in this world.  From then on, Qin Lang’s life drastically changes!

(portrayed by Chen Zhi Kai) – Yin Shang Dong’s life is to follow the rules and be an honorable prince.

            If there is really a prince and princess’s fairytale, then Yin Shang Dong would definitely be the candidate for the prince.  Growing up in the rich and powerful Yin family, he gets acquainted with Xin Lei.  In a high class jewelry store, he meticulously plans a romantic marriage proposal.  Under an excellent financial environment, Yin Shang Dong plans and enjoys his life. 

            He is stable and cautious, well-mannered, and gives off a sense of nobility.  In the eyes of others, he is a gentleman who is humble and courteous.  Naturally, he is a marriage partner that every girl dreams of having, just like the prince in the fairytales.  As a result, after he meets Yu Xin Lei, he is deeply in love with her, until Xin Lei’s family goes bankrupt… 

            Being deeply in love with Xin Lei, Yin Shang Dong would of course not stop loving her because her family goes bankrupt.  However, when Xin Lei’s parents ran away and took with them the enormous amount of money from the joint business between the two families, which causes the Yin family to sink into financial difficulties, Yin Shang couldn’t help but consider his family’s feelings.  Torn between his love for Xin Lei and his love for his family, Shang Dong struggles with the pain.  Originally, he had hoped that he would be able to protect Yu Xin Lei, who was hurt due to her family’s bankruptcy, but under the severe pressure of his parents’, Shang Dong has no choice but to stand by his parents’ side…  Because of his indecisive personality, when he is faced with difficulties, especially difficulties that could not be solved with money, his decision becomes even more difficult to make.

            A pampered girl who grew up in the night market.  Seeing that Xiao Yang is a little girl and that she is the daughter of the landlord, the street vendors along the street would always obey her every request.  However, Qin Lang, who sells the oyster omelettes, is the only one who doesn’t heed her at all!

            Qin Lang doesn’t care if Xiao Yang is the landlord’s daughter or not, he just treats her as an ordinary girl… or perhaps, he treats her just like a buddy!  Qin Lang’s attitude brings about Xiao Yang’s curiosity and interest.  This is because Qin Lang is the only one who doesn’t do everything that she says.  Sometimes he would even stand in her position and force her to make changes to certain matters.  As time passes, Xiao Yang discovers that she has unexpectedly fallen in love with Qin Lang!

            Growing up under her father’s male influence, how would she know to use a girl’s gentleness and sweet words to melt a guy’s heart?  She can only tyrannically admit in her heart that Qin Lang belongs to her!  No one can snatch him away!  No matter what problems there are, Qin Lang should report to her first!  She even believes that although she likes Qin Lang, she would not be the first to admit it out loud!  This is because that would be too embarrassing!  As a result, she is always restricting Qin Lang in their every day life by the standards of a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship.  Yet she has never confessed her feelings to him…  But even if she doesn’t say it out loud, her behavior in front of Qin Lang is seen through by all the neighbors… 

(portrayed by Dean Fujioka) – An Teng Feng’s life is a melodious music strung together by musical notes.

            An Teng Feng is not like any other pianist.  His background of musical talent allows him to display his endless talent in the music world.  Yet he can also put down this side of him and talk about anything with you while drinking beer.  An Teng’s handsomeness is not exaggerated and his inner feelings are just like his music – smooth and rich.  Being loved by the whole world’s music lovers, An Teng is a very guarded person.  As a result, he always does some astonishing things all for the purpose of proving his own unique character.  There are certain times when he can be somewhat overbearing.  As long as a matter is significant, then he believes he should do it and he also believes that others should do it as well.

            He is picky about the staff at hotels and even privately hires someone to investigate if the hotel staffs can be trusted to protect his privacy.  Under such strict selections, Yu Xin Lei becomes the lucky person in everyone’s eyes.  She becomes international pianist, An Teng Feng’s caretaker during the time when he is in Taiwan.  An Teng Feng has very favorable feelings for Yu Xin Lei because her good speaking skills and abilities allow them to always have something to talk about.  However, the truth of the matter is that within a deep part of An Teng Feng’s heart, there is a shadow which is always overlapping together with Xin Lei…

            Qin Lang’s grandma and the big sister of the snack street in the night market.  She often helps her neighbors along the snack street with solving problems and has the personality of defending any unjust matters.  She acts exactly like an overbearing wife and manages more matters than the landlord!  Although there are many other elders along the snack street, but none can compare to Grandma Mu Dan’s eloquence, coordination ability and leadership.

            She uses her pair of hands to raise her grandson, Qin Lang.  She believes that since his parents are not by his side, then being the grandma, she should definitely be strict with her teachings!  As a result, Grandma Mu Dan has never relaxed in her upbringing of Qin Lang.  If he does anything wrong, she would openly scold him and even raise her hand to beat him to teach him a lesson!  From the eyes of the bystanders, it would seem as if Grandma Mu Dan is too strict towards Qin Lang.  However, she actually has a sharp mouth but a soft heart.  Everything that she does is done to preserve the family.  Therefore, she haggles over everything little thing and endures all the hardships.  In order to support the whole family, she works hard to sell oyster omelettes at the night market.

            A pitiful person who adores Xin Lei.  He is Xin Lei’s aunt’s aunt’s cousin’s next door classmate.  After getting a glance of Xin Lei at a party, he has been deeply in love with her ever since but he doesn’t know he should make his move.  Although his family is rich but he doesn’t have the smooth mouth of a playboy.  Whether destiny is playing a joke on him or being good to him, there are numerous times when Lian Sheng Quan coincidentally bumps into Xin Lei which leads him to think that he and Xin Lei have a chance.  To Lian Sheng Quan, Xin Lei is the perfect princess in his heart.  Is it possible that one day he can become the prince in the fairytales? 

(portrayed by Chen Pei Qi) –

            A close friend that Xin Lei meets due to her work after she arrives in Taiwan.  She has a naďve personality and when she speaks she has a thick country accent.  Although she doesn’t dress that badly, but there is just something out of sorts about her…  Truth be told, one cannot find any part on Wen Bi Zhu’s body that would show that she has the aura of a “city” girl.  She is a girl that hasn’t and is not capable of being changed by society.  Being careless with everything she does, she tries to embrace a positive attitude when she encounters any difficulties.  As for her always putting on a smiling face, it has deeply touched Xin Lei’s heart and causes Xin Lei to be somewhat envious of Bi Zhu… 

(portrayed by Zhang Li Wei) –

            A dishwasher at Qin Lang’s oyster omelette stall.  He has a foolish personality and a bit chubby.  He always likes to blurt out things to say or jump in other’s conversations but then he would talk about nonsense and change the subject all together.  With regards to the things that he doesn’t understand, he likes to ask questions but after explaining the matter to him, he would still not understand.  However, there are certain times when he would surprise one with some intelligent words and everyone would feel that there is some logic to what he said… 

(portrayed by Chen Yan Ru) –

            Writer of Bi Bi Huo Studio.  There is a distinguishing feature to his appearance.  He is not tall and not handsome but he has an indescribable appeal.  When he is walking along the streets, people who pass by would certainly give him a second glance.  Full of creativity, there are always countless ideas in his head.  The rate at which he thinks is extremely fast and the strength of his writing is quite astonishing.

            Jiu Ba Dao likes to tell jokes.  The best is when he could get people to laugh so hard that they are holding onto their belly or when they laugh until their stomach hurt and raise their hands in surrender.  After that he would feel happy for his victory.  Especially when he finishes talking about some quite self satisfying ideas, he would even praise himself!  However, his exaggerations will never make people feel disgusted, because he would always make his jokes quite interesting.

(portrayed by Huang Hong Sheng / Xiao Gui) –

            A worker of Bi Bi Huo Studio.  He is in charge of all the public affairs that Bi Bi Huo has to deal with.  He is born to talk.  It’s not enough that he has to talk to clients outside of the office all the time, when he comes back Bi Bi Huo, he still continues to talk.  From the important matters in the world, to the educational system, to the stock market, to the idol dramas, he can talk about anything.  However, he can never get to the point or get down to the reason.  At best, he likes to gossip and mix together with everyone.
