“Even if I can only look from far away, please let me stay here quietly.  Teacher, come and have a drink!”

            Male, 24 years old, 4^th year architect student at the Art Institute and will soon be a newcomer out in society.  After he graduates from the Art Institute, he found a job at the famous Teng Yuan Architecture firm.  He knows that Ya Gong likes him but he only regards Ya Gong as a friend.  He can’t accept Ya Gong’s love because he can’t pull himself away from his crush on an older woman – Fang Li Hua.  He is so madly in love with her that he becomes a peeping tom and often runs over to her house and observes her from far away.

            He has the appearance of a fashionable and handsome young man.  He is the more mature one within their group of 5 friends.  He is detail-oriented and is very good with the elders.  His grades and job are above the normal standard.  With regards to the relationship between Zhu Ben, Sen Tian, and Xiao Yu, Zhen Shan has always been the observer.  He gives Zhu Ben encouragement and gives Sen Tian advice.  Although he has the ability of discovering the love relationship of those people around him, but he is stubborn when it comes to his own relationship.  Yet he doesn’t have any idea what to do.  As with Ya Gong, who likes him, they both suffer from the same destiny in loving someone who doesn’t love them back.

A repeat student of many years.

“Being a student is the best.  The school is the best place to save money.  Hey, the student over there, no kissing allowed.”

            Male, 25 years old, 7^th year art student at the Art Institute.  He is always missing for no reason.  Each year, there would be a different reason on why he can’t graduate.  He loves money and no one is able to figure out what exactly he does.  But there is no doubt that he is a genius when it comes to art.  The first time that he sees Xiao Yu, he is startled by her beauty and he uses his own strange way of loving people to love her.

            Making creative art is not a difficulty for him.  He also has a very good pair of hands when it comes to carving and making creative pieces.  There is some guy acting as his manager too.  He resorts to all means to make money, manage his finances and save money.  He is very strict when it comes to his own necessities in life.  Yet no one knows why.  He comes and goes mysteriously, likes to play tricks, mistreats Professor Dan and does all sorts of crazy things.  Yet he is able to use these strange and unreasonable ways to solve problems or give comfort to everyone.  He is a strange, independent hero who is able to bring joy to others.

An iron woman who is strong on the outside but soft in the inside.

“These feelings should probably continue until the world ends?!  Hey, here is my shoe size for you!”

            Female, 22 years old, 4^th year art student at the Art Institute, nicknamed “Iron Woman.”  After she graduated, she stayed on to be a graduate student.  Her father manages a traditional liquor store.  Xiao Yu is a great admirer of Ya Gong’s great body.  Ya Gong is also the beauty representative of the street where the store is located.  She is very fond of making frightening dishes and loves to eat.  She is also an expert at kicking.  When she gets to the mood of being shy or angry, she would unconscious perform her Ya Gong Kick.  The easiest way to cause her to perform her kick is her crush, Deng Zhen Shan and her kicking target is usually Ren Sen Tian.

            Chang Yu Chuan pursues her but she only regards him as a good neighbor, good classmate, and good brother.  She only likes Zhen Shan but when she finds out that Zhen Shan likes Li Hua, Ye Feng likes herself, while she rejects Chang Yu Chuan, Ya Gong slowly realizes the awkward feelings that Zhen Shan has.

A fairy-like, talented beauty.

“Anything can be portrayed but love is very difficult!  Eh, this bread seems very delicious!”

            Female, 18 years old, 1^st year art student at the Art Institute, nicknamed little fairy because her appearance seems to be that of a 14, 15 year old high school student.  Since she was a child, she has lived with her grandmother in the countryside.  She is petite and is not good at socializing with other people.  She possesses astonishing artistic talent and loves to eat.  Painting and carving are also her strong points especially creating large-scale works of art.

            Her elder male cousin, Xiu Si, has discovered that Xiao Yu has a unique artistic talent since she was young.  Xiao Yu has always received the protection of both her grandmother and Xiu Si and so she has a habit of relying on Xiu Si.  After growing up, she becomes a person of few words and is not good at communicating with others.  She becomes shy and keeps to herself.  Until she gets into the Art Institute and gets acquainted with Zhu Ben, Ya Gong, Sen Tian and Zhen Shan, these good friends.  Only then did she slowly start to open up her heart.  With regards to love, that’s another course that she needs to study.

A nature loving youth.

“The difficult problem of friendship and love, I can only look for the simple answer.  I can do it!”

            Male, 21 years old, 2^nd year architect student at the Art Institute.  He only discovers that he is very skillful with his hands yet he doesn’t know that his “search for himself” skill has reached past the 7^th level.  He is absolutely a very serious and honest youth.  He discovers that he likes Xiao Yu but Zhen Shan is actually the one who discovered the moment when Zhu Ben fell in love with Xiao Yu.  He often thinks too much and stresses himself out.  His reflection of love is zero and his courage to confess his love is also close to zero.

            He is as loyal as a dog and kind-hearted.  As a result, he always gets bullied by Sen Tian and plays the part of a slave.  He is always included when there is something bad going on and he most certainly has a share if there is a miserable errand to be done.  On the surface, he appears to be bullied, but behind all the teasing and joking around, there is a strong friendship and caring consideration among them.

A beautiful woman who is hurt and trying to recover.

“To love and to be loved.  My world should always be drizzling.”

            Female, 33 years old, are best college buddies with Hua Xiu Si and Zhong Yuan Tian.  After graduating, she and Yuan Tian got married and they opened up Yuan Tian Architecture Firm.  However, Yuan Tian died in a car accident while Li Hua was injured.  From then on, she closed off her feelings.  Until Xiu Si introduced Deng Zhen Shan to come and help out at the firm, only then did her closed off feelings slowly start to open up again.

            In the eyes of others, Li Hua seems to be a very successful career woman but she is actually a cold, beautiful woman who has no interest in life.  This is because in Li Hua’s heart, she is never able to forget Yuan Tian.  Ya Gong knows that Zhen Shan likes Li Hua and Ya Gong actually likes the womanly quality that is dispersed from Li Hua.  Later, Ya Gong also has some sort of business collaboration with Li Hua and what appears as two enemies facing off at each other, actually starts to turn into a sort of friendship.

A wise and personable professor.

“Genius ~ you must certainly carry on!”

            Male, a bit more than 33 years old, works at the Art Institute and is Xiao Yu’s elder cousin.  He discovered that Xiao Yu has a very gifted skill toward art and painting since she was a child.  As a result, he brings Xiao Yu to study at the Art Institute and also slowly starts to discover his own lack of achievements in the artistic world.

            Since Xiu Si was a student, he has always silently sacrificed for Li Hua.  He is also the one who arranged for Deng Zhen Shan to go help Li Hua as an assistant.  What he didn’t expect is that Deng Zhen Shan would actually become infatuated with Li Hua.  Hua Xiu Si acts as a fatherly figure and watches over the stories of these 5 youngsters.  He watches over Xiao Yu’s growth and her innocent love with Sen Tian and Zhu Ben.  In the end, he discovers that he is unexpectedly involved in some sort of unexplainable emotions with Xiao Yu and faced with the biggest decision in his life.

Tang Ye Feng (portrayed by David Chen) –

A beautiful prince of first crushes.

“Princess Ya Gong, I will save you from the castle!”

            Male, 27 years old, a top figure at the architect firm.  He is like a promoted level of Deng Zhen Shan.  There is the feeling of him being a playboy, but he appears to be truly sincere towards Ya Gong.  So sincere that occasionally, he would feel shy and helpless, almost reverting back to the frame of mind of a young teenager.  You can hardly tell that he is a lady’s man who can casually throw around the phone numbers of flight attendants and supermodels.

            As a result of Zhen Shan and Ye Feng working at the same architect firm, Ye Feng clearly understands that Ya Gong is totally in love with Zhen Shan.  In the beginning, he was only a bit curious about her, but later on, he falls deeply in love with Ya Gong.  Since Ye Feng’s playboy ways are wide spread and well-known, even though Zhen Shan doesn’t love Ya Gong, he would still do everything he can to stop Ye Feng from wooing his good friend, Ya Gong.
