            The son of Dong Fang Corporation’s CEO and also the first person in the line of being the successor.  He has very handsome looks and is a lonely person with few words.  He is not good at initiating conversation with other people and is used to standing on the sidelines and taking everything in with his eyes.  It is better if he doesn’t speak because once he starts talking, each word that he speaks comes off from his sharp tongue; it is indeed very “poisonous.”

            His first year of college he holds the position as a forward and represented the “undefeatable” Xuan Wu Institute of Technology to participate in the nationwide tournament C.U.B.A. and won the championship.  Furthermore, he was selected as the MVP (Most Valued Player) for two years in a row.  He is the perfect model of a talented basketball player.  As he gets into his 3^rd year, being the top basketball player, he unexpectedly gives up on studying in a famous basketball university.  Instead, he transfers into Pi Li University, who is known for being the least athletic school around, to study business management.  This move created numerous discussions.  After getting acquainted with Yuan Da Ying at Pi Li University, not only was Xiang’s many years of hidden feelings for his childhood friend, Zhan Jie Er, forced to the surface, but it also seriously stimulated his desire for a challenge.  He decides to put on his “fighting” clothes and step onto C.U.B.A.’s stage again.

            He knows nothing about basketball and yet he wants to become a basketball star.  His logic is that as long as he joins the Basketball Society and become a basketball star, then he can possibly grow as tall as Yao Ming and not have to stay at the height of 179.9 cm forever.

            He is extremely interested in basketball but his Grandma doesn’t let him play at all.  If he gets caught, he will be beaten and scold at.  As a result, he can only take advantage of his free times to secretly practice.  Although at the beginning, he doesn’t even know how to dribble but because he is used to running around and catching birds in Shan Lin all the time, he has built up extraordinary bouncing abilities and speed.  His physical strength surpasses that of the ordinary person especially with regards to the opponent that has been in his heart forever.  Under Dong Fang Xiang’s prodding, Da Ying’s skills progress with amazing speed given that he is a complete idiot when it comes to playing basketball.  Not only did he increase his strength in controlling the ball, but his dynamic jumps make his rebounds unbeatable.  He becomes the shortest yet the strongest explosive force as the super power forward in the basketball world.

            After Da Ying leaves Pi Li Basketball Team, Zun is arranged to join the Pi Li Team by Dong Fang Shuo to replace Da Ying’s position.  What comes as a surprise to others is that the way he plays basketball is exactly the same as Dong Fang Xiang’s.  Aside from reaching the same level of performance as Dong Fang Xiang, Zun even possesses the same natural talent as Da Ying.  Zun is really a perfectly strong player and is the crucial character in Dong Fang Shuo’s Tian Wu plan, which he is secretly carrying out…

            She has a cute and sincere appearance with a lively personality filled with righteousness.  Is a good girl who is considerate and kind to others.

            Because her father is the driver for Dong Fang’s CEO, therefore she grew up within the Dong Fang family.  She has always kept a respectful distance from the “young master,” Dong Fang Xiang, whom she grew up with and wanted to keep a fine line between her and the Dong Fang family.  It wasn’t easy for her to leave and go elsewhere to study.  At first, she thought she would be able to get away from Dong Fang Xiang but she never expected that he would also transfer schools to Pi Li University.  Like a ghost he is haunting her wherever she goes. 

            Because she has outstanding grades, she gets recruited into the Student Body the minute she enters the school.  She gets really touched by the Basketball Team’s hard work and energetic enthusiasm, during the course of seeing how the Student Body keeps on restricting them.  She strives hard to use her own meager strength to silently help the Basketball Team.  Yet it is because of this that she gets caught up in a relationship with Yuan Da Ying and Dong Fang Xiang.

            He also possesses the same outstanding physique and because of this gets recruited as another member within Dong Fang Shuo’s Tian Wu plan.  His skills are exceptionally astonishing and with more training, his basketball skills progresses even more.  Thus, compared to Wu Ji Zun’s dependability, Wu Ji Wei appears a bit conceited and unwilling to lose.  Aside from Wu Ji Zun, Wei would never concede to anyone.  Later, due to his brother’s special attention to Dong Fang Xiang, Wei also starts to pay close attention to Xiang!

Pi Li University’s Principal’s only daughter.

            She went to the U.S. to study physical education and is the only daughter of Li Zi Ping, who is the Principal of Pi Li University.  With her long elegant hair and slender figure, she appears outstanding but in actuality, she has a very explosive temper.  Many people get deceived by her appearance when she is silent.  In the basketball world, she is named “Winner.”  She handles affairs in a foreign way and likes to use strange ways to motivate the players.  She comes up with many strange moves in basketball strategizing and is the soul of the entire Basketball Team.

            Initially because she got ill, she left the NBA Coaching Group and returned to the country.  Yet due to meeting a group of youngsters, who has yet to develop - Pi Li Feng Huo Lang, she witnesses how they become a team and how their skills grow.  During the course of accompanying the maturing of the members, Li Ying sincerely falls in love with this team.  However, because her health condition worsens, she had no choice but to temporarily leave the Feng Huo Lang Team.

            On the other hand, Li Ying, who has had a bumpy road in terms of love, meets Da Ying from Shan Lin.  Constant interaction with him causes her to see through to Da Ying’s pure and happy nature, his obsession with basketball and even Da Ying’s passionate and sincere love towards Jie Er.  It appears as if unconsciously she has slowly developed a special feeling towards Da Ying…

            He has been Dong Fang Xiang’s basketball partner since childhood.  Due to an accident in his youth time, his legs became handicapped.  From then on, he needed to get support for his legs.  As a result, he bears a hateful grudge towards Dong Fang Xiang and even sets a goal to defeat him.  He trains extremely hard.  Aside from scoring goals, he also takes great pleasure in injuring his opponents.  Coming from a background of playing street basketball, even though his legs are handicapped, but that doesn’t affect him.  Instead, he uses special handicapped methods which make his opponents unable to clearly see which path the ball is traveling.  He is truly a ruthless player and an opponent who Dong Fang Xiang fears and feels guilty about in his heart.

            Due to his infatuation with Jordan when he was in Junior High School, he began to learn how to play basketball.  He is an extreme basketball fan and is very familiar with all the domestic and international basketball players.  As long as he sees a basketball player with great skills, he would become infatuated with that person and would not hesitate to give that person praises.  As a result, there would always be situations when he would be admiring the skills of his opponents in a competition and forget that they are his enemy.

            His biggest interest is in collecting signatures from basketball players.  His proudest “accomplishment” is getting Jordan’s genuine signature and taking a photo with Jordan in front of the Egyptian Pyramid (actually this photo was made by himself.)

            Before Yuan Da Ying entered Pi Li University, he is the one, lonely person who is supporting “the basketball research society.”  He has an innocent and kindhearted personality.  Very enthusiastic in encouraging and praising others and occasionally he would say something that would surprise everyone.  He is good at observing the opponent’s move and at shooting three point balls.

            On the basketball court, he is known as “an explosive dragon.”  At the basketball tournament during his third year of high school, he was suspended from the court because he beat up his own teammate.  This action ended his basketball playing career but unexpectedly, he picks up basketball again at Pi Li University, which is known for being the least athletic school around.  This started for him a new basketball playing road that is filled with curves and turns yet also filled with beautiful scenery.

            He has an explosive temper and gets angry easily.  He expects a lot from himself and will not give up if he doesn’t reach his goal.  He hopes to depend on his own strength to possess a remarkable status.  Once he sets a goal, he would bravely forge ahead and continue to challenge the limit.

            Is an explosive partner on the basketball court with his younger brother, Qi Xiao Yu.

            Is an explosive partner with his brother, Qi Xiao Yun, on the basketball court.  Although he is not good with words, but one word from his brother and he will do his best.  He is extremely reliable and is someone who can be counted on.

Yuan Da Ying’s Grandma.

            When she was young, she used to be a top player in women’s basketball but not sure why her leg was handicapped and she had to leave the basketball world.

            Since his childhood, she has been very strict with Da Ying.  She even prohibits Da Ying from playing basketball.  If she sees Da Ying even touching a basketball, she would immediately run after him to beat him.  What’s amazing is that no matter how fast Da Ying is, the crippled Tie Lan would still be able to catch up to him.

            Before Tie Lan passed away, she no longer prohibited Da Ying from playing basketball.  The last thing and word that she left for Da Ying lets Da Ying know that she used to be a top player in women’s basketball.  This is also the motivation that makes Da Ying continue to work hard within the basketball world.

            He has very high expectations for Dong Fang Xiang since Xiang’s childhood and hopes that in the future, Xiang would be able to inherit his enormous corporation.  After finding out that Xiang has great talents in playing basketball, he hoped that Xiang would be able to become a top player in the basketball world.  However, his own wishful thinking is dashed and caused his father great disappointed due to Xiang’s rebellious nature in secretly transferring schools to Pi Li University.

Dong Fang family’s butler.

            He is the butler who has been by Father Dong Fang’s side for a very long time.  Normally, he would not have any expressions on his face but he would take notice of his master’s needs and is a very efficient helper.

            He watched Dong Fang Xiang grow up and shows a lot of love towards Xiang.  As a result, even if Father Dong Fang tells him to watch over Xiang’s activities, Lao Lu would still secretly let Xiang do whatever he wants.

            Lao Lu used to be a member of a basketball team too.  Moreover, he is a member during the period when Pi Li Basketball was at the peak of its glory.  He feels regret that Pi Li has fallen into a university who is at the bottom of the ladder with regards to its athletic sports.

            Zhan Jie Er’s father.  Father Dong Fang looked after him many years ago and because he is grateful of Father Dong Fang’s graciousness, he is willing to work as a servant at the Dong Fang house.  Father Dong Fang regards him as a family member.

            Because he is afraid that his daughter, Jie Er and Dong Fang Xiang would develop a relationship, he instructs her to take the initiative to avoid any contact with Dong Fang Xiang.

            He has a stubborn personality and is a ruthless businessman who would do anything to reach his goal.  His obsession for basketball is more than that of the average person.  Although he has handed over the corporation to his son but the person behind the operation manipulating the company is still Dong Fang Shuo.  Even his son would still often show him respect.  Dong Fang Shuo has always been very strict with Dong Fang Xiang especially during his supervision of Xiang when he is practicing basketball!

            Tang Long is one of the legendary people from the U.S.’s athletic arena.  Initially, he was requested by the San Francisco American football alliance to go and perform acupuncture for the injured players.  However, it was discovered that he has another specialty.  He knows a very special Chinese kung fu, which not only allows one to instantaneously travel with lightening speed but it also helps to defend and dodge any powerful force from dashing head on.  It is said that at that time, in the San Francisco football alliance, several of the strongest quarterbacks have been beaten by Tang Long.  Although he appears to be quite ordinary and doesn’t seem to have any connections to basketball, but in actuality, the strength in his hands is quite astonishing.  Because he has a special ability, he was requested by Li Ying to return to the country to help with adjusting and arousing the hidden potential of the Pi Li basketball members.

            Typical model of a beautiful woman who handles things incisively and firmly.  She knows what she wants and works by the rules of fighting for the highest honor for their school.  She would give full support to those people who would have the ability to bring honor to the school.  In the beginning, even though she expressed interest in the Pi Li Basketball Team, but in actually, it really isn’t all that great to her.  However, she gradually gets influenced by the enthusiasm of the basketball team and also gets affected by their hard work and success.  She decided to change from opposing them to helping them and leads the student body in being the biggest supporter of the basketball team…

            During all this, she senses Da Ying’s pure and happy nature and develops a little feeling for Da Ying…

            The main force of Deng Lin University’s basketball team and also the school’s secret weapon for the new year in the national tournament, C.U.B.A.  The appearance of these 3 guys is exactly the same but their personalities are entirely different.  They grew up and were raised by different foster families.  Under Coach Long Da’s deliberate nurturing, the three of them never appeared together within the school.  Training and attending class is alternated between the three guys.  They would often replace one another on the basketball court to deceive their opponents.

A physically built street basketball player.

            He is named for the giant Goliath and has an extremely huge body which is approximately more than 200 cm.  Originally he is the champion of Mongolian wrestling and several times, the Coach from Xiang Yang wants to recruit him, but Ge Li Ya refuses.  He is the local street basketball champion.

            Although he is tall, but when he is playing basketball, there are no cumbersome movements that a giant would have.  Instead, he appears extremely agile in his movements.  As a result, Dong Fang Xiang would feel pressure when he plays basketball with Ge Li Ya.  He is one formidable basketball opponent.
