            Male, 23 years old.  He has handsome looks and a kind personality.  He grows up in the graceful surroundings of “Queen Village.”  Being the only son of Wei Lin Resort’s Chairman, Cheng Zhi Ang, Xue Ge has been doted on since young.  Aside from his mother dying early, his life has no obstacles or pain at all.  His life is just like a happy prince from a fairytale.  He sees everything with a positive and bright aspect and doesn’t know the hardships of the world at all.  Until Cheng Zhi Ang falls extremely ill and he has to rush back from studying overseas to take care of his father, only then did Xue Ge find out about the poor management of Wei Lin Resort.  Many estates had to be sold off in order to raise money to help with the finances.  Queen Village, which is one of the resorts, is also on the verge of a huge financial crisis.

            After purchasing several pieces of Wei Lin’s lands, Yao Shi Enterprise, whose business is built from the traditional real estate industry, sends Yao Zi Wang to discuss the acquisition of Queen Village’s territory.  Xue Ge couldn’t believe that his father would sell shares of Queen Village to Yao Zi Wang, who only cares about making money!  This village paradise is not only the place where Xue Ge grew up, but it also holds many warm memories of him and his deceased mother.  To Xue Ge, this place is his Holy Land!  He absolutely cannot use money to measure this place.

            Before he can change this decision, Cheng Zhi Ang passes away from his illness.  In order to buy back the shares that Yao Zhi Wang has in her hands, Xue Ge goes around asking for assistance.  However, he repeatedly gets deceived which allows him to see through to the evilness and coldness of human beings.  He has no choice but to face reality.  He accepts Yao Zi Wang’s conditions and goes to work at Yao Shi Enterprise.  He follows Yao Zi Wang’s training and learns the methods of doing business.

            When he is no longer naïve and filled with bright aspects, when he learns the devious ways of the business world, that’s the time when he will get his revenge on Yao Zi Wang.  However, when Xue Ge has really been changed to this type of person, he discovers that Yao Zi Wang has become an indispensable companion in his life.  Moreover, he is filled with sympathy for Yao Zi Wang, who has been fighting single-handedly for many years…

            Male, 26 years old.  He is the Chairman of Huang Xin Financial Corporation’s only son and is also the Corporation’s financial manager.  He was entrusted in this important task very early on by his father and he had not disappointed his father at all.  Not only does he help the corporation with its growth, but he also gains lots of respect and care from his staff.

            With a personality like a vicious wolf, he does not show any mercy to his opponents.  His biggest weakest is his younger sister, Zhao Guan Li.  He, who lovingly dotes on his sister since childhood, would grant any kind of requests that she would have.  He only hopes for Guan Li’s happiness.  Guan Li falls in love with Xue Ge and of course, being her brother, Guan Xi would do everything he can to help her so that she can get what she wants.

            When Huang Xin Financial Corporation and Yao Shi Enterprise both have their development sights set on the same territory, the traditional management ways of Yao Shi Enterprise is no match for Zhao Guan Xi, who has new concepts and crafty skills.  Under this situation, the competition between these two companies becomes increasingly more bitter.  Guan Xi believes that the only talent at Yao Shi Enterprise is Yao Zi Wang.  During the course of their competition, Guan Xi takes pity on Zi Wang’s plight and also admires her for her intelligence.  Zi Wang is the perfect partner and lifelong companion of his dreams.  When these two companies are caught up in a vicious battle, Yao Wan Zhuan decides to marry Zi Wang off to Guan Xi in exchange for a no win or lose situation.

            Marrying Guan Xi will allow her to break away from her father’s control and Guan Xi will let her display her talents to her liking.  Faced with this opportunity for a new life, Zi Wang actually refuses and chooses Cheng Xue Ge instead.  However, the stubborn Guan Xi would rather destroy the entire Yao Shi than give up Zi Wang.

            Female, 25 years old.  She is the daughter of the first wife of the Chairman of Yao Shi Enterprise.  The first wife of Yao Wan Zhuan gave birth to three daughters, Zi Dai, Zi Lai and Zi Wang.  The second wife aside from giving birth to the daughter, Zi Qi, she also gave birth to a son, Yao Hui En.  As a result, the second wife is doted upon by the husband.  In the Yao family where the son is valued more than the daughters, after giving birth to three daughters with no other news, the first wife doesn’t have any status at all.  As for the second wife, who is able to produce a son for the family, she is highly looked upon with all the power in her hands.  Being the youngest daughter of the first wife, Zi Wang is the one who is ignored the most.  Not only does Yao Wan Zhuan ignore her but even her own birth mother regards her as a symbol of bad luck.

            Who expected that not only does she inherit Yao Wan Zhuang’s business brains but she even went beyond that to show her experience and capability in her young age.  Yet, it is also because of this that Yao Wan Zhuan and the second wife regard Zi Wang as a troublemaker, who would be after the family fortune and so they continue to suppress her.

            In this painful lesson in life, Zi Wang learns to hide her capabilities.  However, a simple thought of wanting to help her father’s business in exchange for some fatherly love twists and changes into her own ambition.  No longer does she believe in family kinship or any other type of feelings.  Those who hurt her the most are those who are closest to her.  Zi Wang guards herself and uses cold eyes to look at this society.  In her eyes, aside from having the end justify the means, there is no gray area at all.

            The purchase of Wei Lin Resort is part of Zi Wang’s secret plan for a comeback.  She even finds the rare talent of Cheng Xue Ge and changes his handsome image and kind heart into a commodity, using his external qualities to help her business.  Zi Wang can’t stand the care and trust that Xue Ge has for other people but this caring and pity is exactly what a deep part of Zi Wang’s heart is wishing for.  Zi Wang uses an even colder defense against Xue Ge but on the other hand, she is contradicting herself when she tries diligently to transform him into a deep and cautious entrepreneur like herself…

            Gradually Xue Ge sees through to Zi Wang’s defense and using tender, true feelings, he melts her coldness.  However, a girl who has experienced many hardships, how will she have the courage to discard her defenses?  How will a heart filled with tenderness be able to fight against the harsh pressure of her opponent and her father?  Zi Wang is faced with the dilemma of having to choose: surrender to her father’s despicable idea that “a woman is only a tool which will eventually be married off” or give up the only love she will have in this lifetime to defeat her father in the business world?

            Female, 22 years old.  A Chinese foreign exchange student from Shanghai.  She has a pretty appearance with a gentle and considerate personality.  She met and fell in love with Xue Ge in the U.S.  When Xue Ge’s family falls into a financial crisis, she stayed by his side to support him.  However, once Xue Ge’s business starts to get busy, she starts to gradually grow apart from him.  Later, because of her mother’s illness, she returns to Shanghai.  She knows that Xue Ge will not leave his business and so she suggests that they break up and chooses to get married to Shen Qian, a physical therapist, who was looking after her mother.  This deals a big blow to Xue Ge.

            Female, 24 years old.  She is the only daughter of the Chairman of Huang Xin Financial Corporation.  She’s beautiful, arrogant and has a naïve personality.  Because she is excessively spoiled, whatever she wants, she is determined to get.  Ever since meeting Xue Ge, she is madly in love with him and pursues him.  However, Xue Ge doesn’t have a good impression of her and tries to escape from her every way possible.  To Guan Li, Xue Ge is like a pretty doll that she must buy no matter what which makes her determined to possess him.

            The Chairman of Yao Shi Enterprise.  He has traditional beliefs with a stubborn and conceited personality.  Due to his daring and charging nature all these years, he has created his own business kingdom.  At first, he was putting all his hopes onto his only son, Yao Hui En, but Hui En obviously doesn’t have his heart in the family business.  Rather, it is one of his daughters, Zi Wang, whom he regards as useless, who inherited his business mind.  This doesn’t make Wan Zhuan feel any gratitude.  Instead, he feels threatened; afraid that Zi Wang will take away everything that belonged to Hui En.  In order to prevent this from happening, Wan Zhuan does everything he can to suppress and humiliate Zi Wang.  However, this trains Zi Wang to become even more intelligent and capable which increases his uneasiness day by day.

            Male, 26 years old.  He is a physical therapist in a certain famous hospital in Shanghai.  He fell in love with Qing Wu during the course of taking care of her mother and so he starts to pursue her.  Because he has a dependable personality and often accompanies by Qing Wu’s side, it causes Qing Wu’s many years of feelings for Xue Ge start to waver.  In the end, Qing Wu decides to marry Shen Qian.

            Female, 18 years old.  A girl who deeply loves rock and roll.  Due to poor family circumstances, she charges protection fees to make a living.  She gets acquainted with Hui En one time due to a coincidental meeting.  Hui En wants to silently support her enthusiasm for music but because she doesn’t want to burden him, she gradually drifts apart from him.  Through Hui En’s sister’s help, she gets a job at Queen Village and returns to a simple and honest life.  By chance, she reunites with Hui En again.  Hui En hopes to start anew with her again and the relationship between them seems to have a subtle change.

            Female, 22 years old.  Wan Zhuan’s daughter from his second wife.  She is beautiful, smart and filled with ambitions.  On the surface, she appears to be an obedient daughter to her parents but in fact, she has her own ambitious mind.  It’s only that she doesn’t use the same methods as Zi Wang.  She will absolutely not show her strength in the business world which will bring fear to others.  Rather, she will use the doting love that her parents have for her as her biggest weapon.  She will show her love for her younger brother, Hui En, to gain her father’s trust.  Even if she has to follow Wan Zhuan’s wishes and marry someone who she doesn’t have any feelings for, she would gladly endure it – Being able to use marriage as a stepping stone and a means of getting what she wants, what is wrong with that?  As for the hardships that her sister, Zi Wang has to endure, Zi Qi only feels that it is very ridiculous and stupid: this sister doesn’t know that many things can be achieved by acting like a spoiled brat and pretending to be powerless?

            Zi Qi has her sights set on Zhao Guan Xi.  As long as she can become Guan Xi’s wife, then would she still have to be afraid that she can’t get Wan Zhuan’s family fortune?  At that time, when Hui En has inherited Yao Shi Enterprise, wouldn’t he still have to listen to her words?  Besides, Guan Xi’s grace and personality is enough to make Zi Qi infatuated with him already…

            Male, 18 years old.  Wan Zhuan’s only beloved son.  He doesn’t have an ambitious heart and only wants to do what he is interested in.  He never pays any attention to the struggles and fights within the family.  Because he is excessively spoiled, he does whatever he wants without fear of anything.  However, he, who has not yet been polluted by the reality of life, still believes that blood is thicker than water.  Zi Wang is still his sister even though they have different mothers and she is still someone who he can trust.

            He is Xue Ge’s father and has a generous personality.  When he is seriously ill and his business is in a financial crisis, the one thing he is worried about is:  how to make his only beloved son Xue Ge, depend on himself to continue on with the rest of his life.  As a result, he decides to use a dangerous method.  He sells the stocks of his company to Zi Wang and force Xue Ge to compete with Zi Wang.  In actuality, he hopes that Zi Wang would be able to train Xue Ge into a talented person.
