(portrayed by Cheryl Yang) – Female, 29 years old, Manager of the Business Information Department at Ju Dan. 

A lonely working girl that pursues perfection.  Her high school graduation speech was turned into a show girl event by a junior classmate.  The wedding anniversary trip that she planned, a sweet, summer surprise, was ruined when she catches her husband in bed with another woman.  She tries her best to forget but these two painful memories, her junior classmate and her husband, still haunt her by appearing in front of her again.  She swears to let go of the past, set a new standard for perfection and find the true meaning of happiness. 

She draws a fine line between business and pleasure and is obsessed with pursuing perfection.  She gives people the feeling that she is not approachable and hard to get close to.

            Appearing full of self-confidence, she would be pulling her hair hysterically and screaming in a corner when there is no one about, revealing her out of control and depressed expressions.  This all comes from the inferior feelings and her lack of confidence within.  As for the culprit behind this, it is all due to her high school junior classmate – Zuo Shao Tang. 

            Ten years ago at her high school graduation ceremony, when Jing Han is ready to deliver her speech on stage, her scatterbrained junior classmate, Zuo Shao Tang, accidentally pulls off her shirt and skirt.  Jing Han is so humiliated after this event that she has never participated in any of the class reunions.  It also fostered her overly cautious and doesn’t easily trust other people personality. 

            In addition, Jing Han who has her future all planned out, accidentally falls in love and gets married with her tutor, Fang Yun Qian, while she was in college.  Jing Han, who places heavy emphasis on love, unexpectedly catches Yun Qian in bed with another woman after their marriage; with an unhappy marriage, Jing Han places all her heart in her work and becomes the career woman in everyone’s eyes.  She even requests a divorce from Yun Qian.

            After her divorce, Jing Han moves out and plans to start life anew.  She coincidentally meets two roommates, Liang Jia Xin and Yu Qiao Le, who have completely different tastes and different views.

            These three females see each other every day and yet are incompatible with each other.  This already creates many headaches for Jing Han but unexpectedly, living right across from them is a suspiciously abnormal guy.  To Jing Han’s surprise, it turns out to be her most hated enemy, her scatterbrained junior classmate - Zuo Shao Tang.

            Seeing her enemy, she would of course feel her blood boiling, but --- Shao Tang doesn’t seem to recognize her?!  As a result, Jing Han decides to use this opportunity to repay Zuo Shao Tang and revenge the humiliation that she received many years ago.

            Surprisingly, after many tries to get revenge on Zuo Shao Tang, Jing Han discovers that ten years ago when Shao Tang dashes up on stage it is all because he had a crush on her?!  Finding out the truth, Jing Han couldn’t help but feel bad about her own plans for revenge and starts developing strange feelings for Shao Tang…

(portrayed by Hong Xiao Ling) – Female, 24 years old, Employee of the Business Information Department, Daughter of Ju Dan’s Board of Director. 

            An arrogant and impulsive rich girl that ran away from home.  Her boyfriends keep on changing so her father has no other choice but to force her on blind dates.  In order to keep control of her independence, she makes a bet of one hundred million dollars with her father for one year.  Unexpectedly, after leaving home, she becomes Jing Han’s roommate and her subordinate.  These two females, whether at home or at work, are always fighting with each other.  This allows her to experience that not everything in life goes as smoothly as she thought it would.  During frictions and disputes, she learns respect and consideration.

            She has a sweet appearance and is the treasure of the family.  The family spoils and pampers her very much which brings about her arrogant and willful personality.

            Each time she gets into trouble, she will put out her special skill – act like a spoiled brat.  Nearly 10 out of 10 times she would be forgiven.  Until one day, she refuses to obey her father’s (Liang Dong) arrangement to go on a blind date with the son of one of his good friends.  This act aggravates her father and no matter how many tantrums she throws, her father would get angry at her impulsive nature.  As a result, she refuses to bend to his will and runs away from home.  She even threatens that she will not use a single cent of the family’s money.  At first, she believes that she wouldn’t even have to step a foot out of the door before her father would submissively call her back.  To her surprise, she has stepped passed the iron gate in the garden and no one has come to chase after her.  As a result, she decides to prove that she doesn’t need to depend on her father’s arrangements and can still support herself…

            Jia Xin, who doesn’t have any idea what she is going to do, by chance gets acquainted with Shao Tang and becomes Jing Han and Qiao Le’s roommate.  Jia Xin and Jing Han’s lifestyle and habits are extremely different.  Therefore, they both get into many misunderstandings and cause many frictions.  Their flames of war even extend all the way to Ju Dan.  In order to support herself, Jia Xin has no other choice but to find a job.  Yet the job that she applies to working as an employee at Ju Dan’s Business Information Department just happens to be managed by Zhang Jing Han.  Just when Jia Xin is on the verge of giving up, she accepts her father’s bet.  Afterwards, Jia Xin immediately regrets her own impulsiveness because the bet is if in one year, Jia Xin doesn’t manage to get fired from the company, then she will be able to get one hundred million dollars.  However, if she does get fired, then she would have to go home and accept her father’s arrangements obediently. 

            As a result, this spoiled and pampered girl meets up with a boss, Zhang Jing Han, who requests perfection in everything.  Naturally, she will have a tough time like all the data that she is not able to finish looking at, the calls she is not able to finish making, staying up late to finish a report…  Whether at work or at home, Jia Xin who is not able to win over Jing Han, suffers many hardships.  No matter how strict Jing Han treats her, Jia Xin refuses to resign.  From, never having used a printer, doesn’t know how to send a fax and doesn’t take public transportation, she has learned everything and lives her life like any common people.  Liang Dong (Jia Xin’s father) sees all of this.  Jia Xin’s maturity is making him feel quite gratified… 

(portrayed by Genie Zhuo) – Female, 19 years old, figure skater. 

A hardworking, simple girl who raises chicken.  She leaves her countryside hometown to go north to fulfill her ice skating dream.  She becomes Jing Han and Jia Xin’s roommate.  She gets acquainted with a hockey player who is also her landlord.  Her first kiss is snatched away by him and she also gets hurt because of him.  Even with her heart wounded, she participates in the Taipei competition, the National competition.  Step by step she breaks out of her cocoon and makes her way toward her life’s goal.

            She grows up from a beautiful and simple village in the countryside.  She is a bit foolish and naïve. 

            Because her family raises chickens and the fact that Qiao Le has nimble hands and feet, her skill in catching chickens is even praised by the fellow villagers.  Even though Qiao Le is a country girl, but she has a very tremendous dream – to be an international figure skating queen!

            When Qiao Le was 5 years old, the first time she participated in the village’s children’s ice skating competition, she won the championship, which was astonishing to everyone.  Every one in her family believes her to be a rare talent in the ice skating world.  Since then, Qiao Le has move toward her goal of becoming a figure skating queen.  Unfortunately, since this time, she has not won any more awards after that.  However, she still insists that one day she will become an amazing figure skating athlete!

            The reason why Qiao Le is so persistent about her dream is because she knows that she is an ordinary country girl.  After she arrives in Taipei, she becomes even more aware of how tiny and common she is in this big world.  She is not as capable as Jing Han and is not as pretty as Jia Xin but only ice skating, only after putting on her ice skating boots, would she be able to tell herself that she is a unique Yu Qiao Le in this world.  It is also because of this that no matter what obstacles she encounters, she would still hold on tightly to her dream of becoming a figure skating queen.

            The first day that Qiao Le arrives in Taipei she meets the young landlord, Li Yu Xin.  Their first encounter is extremely dramatic where there is a wild chase of the ice skating boots, the bicycle and another car.  As for their second encounter that same day, Qiao Le’s first kiss which she has protected for 19 years gets snatched away by Li Yu Xin.        

            Yu Xin is the captain of the ice hockey team and has a common topic with Qiao Le.  In addition to Yu Xin’s help, Qiao Le is able to use Ju Dan’s rink to practice her ice skating.  As a result, the naïve Qiao Le very quickly falls in love with Yu Xin.  She doesn’t know that behind Yu Xin’s gentleness, he is hiding a very evil deception… 

(portrayed by Zhang Tian Lin) – Male, 27 years old, an artist. 

Shao Tang is the first tenant to live in the apartment.  He has an amiable personality and confessing that he is lofty character, he is not willing to inherit his father’s enterprise.  He would rather find a scenic spot and set up a stall to paint pictures and make a living by selling his paintings.

Shao Tang has never had a girlfriend before.  He had only had a crush on his senior classmate (Zhang Jing Han) during his high school years.  However, Shao Tang caused Jing Han to be humiliated in front of the whole school and since then, Shao Tong has lost all contact with Jing Han.  Ten years pass, not only has Shao Tang not forgotten Jing Han, but he also believes that he still owes her an “apology”… 

Shao Tang accidentally gets acquainted with Liang Jia Xin by the seaside and after introducing her to his landlord, they both become neighbors after this.  Shao Tang would often times coincidentally bump into Jia Xin, with her perfect bikini figure and her saucy and lovable expressions.  All of this would cause Shao Tang to blush and his heart rate to increase.  Shao Tang, who has always believed that he still has a crush on Jing Han, suddenly finds himself falling for Liang Jia Xin.  But to Jia Xin, even though Shao Tang is honest, cute, talented and has ideals, but Shao Tang’s wooden nature just doesn’t interest Jia Xin.

But Shao Tang is not discouraged and he continues to pursue Jia Xin.  Unfortunately, there is still a big obstacle between him and Jia Xin – Zhang Jing Han.

Shao Tang really doesn’t understand when and where he has offended this woman.  Why is she always against him?  Always trying to wreck his plans? 

Every little thing that Shao Tang tries to do, every time he wants to spend some time alone with his beloved Jia Xin, Zhang Jing Han would swoop down on him and try to stop him.  She follows them when he takes Jia Xin out to dinner, she follows them when he goes on a date with Jia Xin, even when he goes on a vacation alone with Jia Xin, Jing Han would tightly pursue them!  What the heck?  They are not S.H.E, why is it that no matter what they do, they have to do it together as 3 people?

Shao Tang has always thought that no man would ever love a woman as obnoxious and as troublesome as Zhang Jing Han!  He never imagined that there would really be a man who would fall in love with her.  This handsome man from Japan named Jin Jing Xiang.

Strange!  He is not blind, why would he fall in love with Zhang Jing Han?  Shao Tang could not figure it out at all…

However, after Shao Tang finds out that Jing Han is the girl that he has had a crush on for 10 years, a marvelous feeling starts to ferment within his heart…

(portrayed by Yokouchi Akira) – Male, 29 years old, Japanese, Ju Dan’s Vice Chief.

            He is big and tall and has an imposing appearance.  From the first day that he has arrived at Ju Dan, he has been the target of all the female staff at Ju Dan.  Jing Han, who likes to read romance novels, would often see Jin Jing Xiang as a leading character and would dream about the romantic plots from the novels.

            Jin Jing, who is unfamiliar with the people and places in Taipei, has a favorable impression of Ju Dan’s Manager of the Business Information Department, Zhang Jing Han, from his first day of work.  With Shao Tang’s help, Jing Han acted out a play of a lovesick girl being dumped by her heartless boyfriend in front of Jin Jing.  This causes Jin Jing to love Jing Han even more and they both smoothly starts dating.

            However, the longer that Jin Jing and Jing Han are together, the more it is revealed that Zuo Shao Tang has a pretty important place within Jing Han’s heart.  It is even more important than what she has thought it would be.  Although Jing Han keeps on saying that she detests Shao Tang, but she would often unknowingly pay attention to every little action and movement that Shao Tang makes.  As for their great understanding for each other, it would often create feelings of jealous from Jin Jing.

            He can no longer endure seeing Jing Han and Shao Tang together.  He does his best to try to separate the two of them but… they obviously are neighbors that live right across from each other.  Faced with this dilemma, what should Jin Jing do?

(portrayed by Yu Fan Kang) – Male, 32 years old, Zhang Jing Han’s ex-husband.

He has a mellow and humble personality and dreams of being rich.

            Fang Yun Qian is Zhang Jing Han’s tutor during college.  They developed feelings for each other during their course of time together and get married.  However, the married Yun Qian’s talent and maturity still attracts the affection of many young female colleagues.  Yun Qian could not withstand the enticement, has an affair and in the end, agrees to a divorce with Jing Han.

            The days after the divorce cause Yun Qian to be filled with regret.  In addition, as the days pass, Yun Qian starts to miss those marriage days.  Faded from memory are the quarrels and the imperfections, and he only remembers the times when he and Jing Han were in love.  As a result, Yun Qian decides to pursue Zhang Jing Han again.

            However, Yun Qian never imagined that during all his planning, a huge obstacle would stand in his way – Zuo Shao Tang.  At first, he really didn’t bother to pay any attention to this young kid, but to his surprise, he seems to see a sparkle of love in Jing Han’s eyes when she looks at Shao Tang.  Yun Qian could no longer wait and decides to propose to Jing Han again.

            But is Jing Han willing to give him another chance?

(portrayed by Chen De Lie) – Male, 23 years old, famous ice hockey player.

            The landlady – Mrs. Zhou Bao Er’s only son and also Jing Han, Jia Xin and Qiao Le’s young landlord.

            Li Yu Xing is quite a playboy.  He chases after any girl he sees; dates multiply girls at the same time and often called a lady’s killer.  The number of girls that he has dumped is countless and he likes young girls who wear short skirts.

            Yu Xin accidentally gets acquainted with Yu Qiao Le who comes from the country side.  Unexpectedly, he also snatches away Qiao Le’s first kiss.  Yu Xin believes that Qiao Le’s dream of becoming a figure skating queen is impossible.  He uses Qiao Le’s naïve nature and infatuation to make her voluntarily become the ice hockey team’s manager.  In actuality, he only treats Qiao Le as a one of his many girlfriends but Qiao Le isn’t aware of this at all.  She innocently believes that Yu Xin really likes her.

            Unexpectedly, as Ah Xin and Qiao Le spend more and more time together, Ah Xin really does fall in love with this innocent and simple girl.  Yet, he just doesn’t know how to confess to her that everything up till now has been a lie?

(portrayed by Gao Yi Xiang) – Male, 23 years old, vice captain of the ice hockey team, Yu Xin’s buddy and playmate.

            Ah Xun is extremely loyal to the team’s captain, Li Yu Xin and admires Yu Xin for his outstanding hockey skills.  Not only are they both handsome on the ice, but they create quite a sensation and privately are also great partners in chasing girls.  However, there is still something different about Ah Xun from Yu Xin.

            Compared to other guys his age, Ah Xun is more calm and mellow.  He has always hoped to have a stable and sincere love.  For this reason, when Ah Xun discovers Qiao Le’s innocence and kind heart, he couldn’t help but fall in love with her.  However, he clearly understands that the person whom Qiao Le likes is not himself.  For this reason, he could only hide his feelings for Qiao Le within his heart and take care of her as an older brother would.

            Ah Xun continues to be by Qiao Le’s side and he sees all the things that Qiao Le has done for Yu Xin and yet Yu Xin has not responded to any of her efforts.  As a result, he starts to question, should he or should he not tell Qiao Le that Yu Xin’s feelings toward her are not real… 

(portrayed by Zhang Jia Xin) – Female, 25 years old, Zhang Jing Han’s secretary.

            Shu Lin has a gentle and mellow personality.  She is Jing Han’s good helper and can usually guess Jing Han’s moods.  She also is the person that Jing Han would go to vent out her anger or problems.  Like Jing Han, Shu Lin also develops feelings in her heart for Jin Jing Xiang.  However, Shu Lin doesn’t dare to let Jing Han know and doesn’t dare to confess her feelings to Jin Jing.  Apart from this, Shu Lin is also guarding a secret that no one knows about.  Until the day that Jing Han discovers it…

(portrayed by Huang Pei Zhen) – Female, 22 years old, captain of the cheerleading squad.

            She is lively and enthusiastic.  She has a great body and stature and is Li Yu Xin’s number one fan.  After Xiao Ting finds out that Qiao Le and Yu Xin all always together, not only did she envy Qiao Le but she also hopes that their love can be as romantic and touching as those in the idol dramas.  Besides cheerleading for the ice hockey team, she also shows up at Qiao Le’s ice skating competition to give her support.  However, after she finds out about the things that Li Yu Xin has done to Qiao Le, being kind-hearted and frank, Xiao Ting immediately takes Ah Xun’s side and criticizes Li Yu Xin.

(portrayed by Bi Li) – Female, 41 years old, Li Yu Xin’s mother, Jing Han, Shao Tang and the rest of the gang’s landlady, boss of a hot pot shop.

            Her husband passed away early and she brings her son up all by herself.  In Bao Er’s life, the thing she is most proud of is giving birth to a handsome son who is an ice hockey star – Li Yu Xin.  Fortunately, Yu Xin grows up as handsome as her deceased husband but Yu Xin’s playboy ways and the complexity of his relationships with girls, would often bring many headaches for Ah Er.  Only until after Ah Er hears the news that Yu Xin and Qiao Le are dating does she feel more at ease.  She often urges Yu Xin not to let go of a nice girl like Qiao Le.

            She has a rich sense of righteousness and distinguishes between what is right and what is wrong.  If someone did something wrong, even if that person is her treasured son – Li Yu Xin, she wouldn’t be lenient and punish him.  This causes Yu Xin to love and be afraid of his mother at the same time.  She is generous and enthusiastic.  She treats all the tenants like her own children.  As a result, Jing Han, Qiao Le, Shao Tang and the rest of the gang, all regard Ah Er as if she is their own mother.

(portrayed by David Huang) – Male, 54 years old, Ju Dan’s Current Board of Director, Liang Jia Xin’s father. 

            Jia Xin’s stubborn and willful temperament is more or less inherited from him.  As a result, when Jia Xin runs away from home, even though he is worried, but he absolutely will not open his mouth to detain her in order to avoid showing his weakness.  However, when he finds out that Jia Xin is working at Ju Dan, which he manages, he is curious to know how long his daughter would be able to endure.  Hence, he decides to bet one hundred million dollars with his daughter.  If Jia Xin is able to stay for one whole year, she will not only get the money but she will also get control of how the rest of her life is played out.  In order to win this bet, no matter how strict Zhang Jing Han treats her, she will not leave the job.  From the side, Liang Dong watches as his daughter matures and he truly feels gratified…
