Ling's life didn't start off lonely. He has a twin brother,
Sheng, who is younger than him. This same birth, which was
originally believed to be perfect, turns out to be a kind of
regret. This kind of regret is not something that a person who
is born alone would be able to understand. Having the same
appearance as another soul is like a reflection on a mirror. But
this reflection that is not completely the same seems to remind
them time and again that they each possess an aspect that the
other seems to be lacking. One is unconstrained and addicted to
excitement, the other is scholarly and obedient. Sheng is always
envious of Ling's arbitrary speed on the racetrack; Ling never
understands the true meaning of the sketches that Sheng always
draws for him. However, the year that Ling is 16 years olds, the
mild-mannered Sheng decided to end his own short life. From that
time on, Ling sinks into a painful, deep abyss. He lived a full
2 years in a recuperating institution and since then, he hasn't
looked into a mirror again. He forgot how he looks like.
Perhaps, this kind of forgetfulness may allow him to forget
Sheng, may allow him to forget the emptiness that remained so
that he will no longer feel so cold. After the incident
happened, Ling who breaks away from the family was admitted to a
university and launches into his new life. Actually this is not
the new beginning of Ling's life; on the contrary, this is
slowly letting his original self die away bit by bit. Therefore,
on campus, Ling becomes the headache of all the teachers, the
heartbreaker of all the girls, and the jealousy of all the guys.
Because he is the war-god, Mars, all the sources of cruel
disaster and bloodshed comes from him. Just as long as you get
close to him, blood must be shed. This type of abnormal
self-acknowledgement torments Ling. Fortunately, he still has
his good friend, Ming Gao, who trusts him which is the only

his beloved motorcycle over to Ling, Ling apparently appears to
be alive once again. When Ling unexpectedly meets Qi Luo, that's
when he is finally awakened. Without knowing why, from the
bottom of Ling's heart, there arises an impulse to protect Qi
Luo. Perhaps this is the extension of the love that his has for
Sheng that is spreading, yet it is still not complete. On Qi
Luo's being, he finds tranquility there; especially the moment
when Qi Luo, who loves drawing, tells him the story of the way
Romans see the war-god, Mars - a brave and gallant God. Ling is
numbed -- that afternoon, in the sketching room of the arts
class, he stares at the plaster figure of the war-god and cannot
help but gives it a kiss. Qi Luo found another truth for Ling --
that is not only the difference of the war-god myths between the
Greek version and the Roman version -- but is - love will lead
us down a bright and promising road.

After the death of their mother, Sheng's only dependent is Ling.

deeply loves Sha Zhi, yet she still doesn't match up to
one-millionth of Ling. Despite the huge difference in
personalities between him and Ling, yet, Sheng clearly knows
that Ling completely belongs to his own self. Don't know why but

The quiet and delicate Qi Luo actually has a very strong inner
self. She faintly understands that the only thing that will hold
up against difficult times is an internal spirit that doesn't
fear the aspect of fear. Therefore, even though she is still at
a young age, she shoulders a wound that is hard to recover and
heal. Through the paint brush within her hand, she transmits the

college, everyone is busy with their new college life and no one

happiness under her own silence and paint brush. She doesn't
understand that being so low-key and is often neglected by other
people, how she would be able to attract the school's worst
student - Ling's attention. What's even more unexpected is that
ever since Ling's appearance, Qi Luo gradually sees the ugliness
of evil under camouflages and the good nature of Ling that he is
hiding behind his behavior. This is the first time that Qi Luo
starts trusting someone. Perhaps it was because of that
afternoon - the kiss that Ling gave to the plaster figure of the
war-god. That kiss allowed her to see something so beautiful
that she has never seen before, so brilliant that it stings the
eyes, so full of sincereness. She accepted Ling and decided to
fight against the darkness that is surrounding him. Qi Luo has
always believed that the power to being strong successfully is
loneliness; Ling makes her understand that true strongness is to
use true love to fight against difficulties. Therefore, those
that are jealous, those that are envious, those that are
dangerous, get defeated by Qi Luo and Ling's love one by one.
Furthermore, those people are sincerely convinced, just like
Qing Mei who deeply loves Ling, Sha Zhi and Da Ye who deeply
loves Qi Luo -- however, the most difficult to overcome is their
own respective nightmares. If it is said that Qi Luo saves Ling
from darkness, then Ling would be the source of Qi Luo's
happiness. When they are gazing at each other, they are not
highlighting their imperfections, but rather, they are
extracting each other's good nature. It turns out that "good",
"evil" really doesn't show its true face in front of people.

Sha Zhi grew up in a very good environment and is the only
daughter of the family. She has been under the protection of her
parents since she was a child. And her student life, not only is
she an excellent student but she knows how to use her beautiful
smile to win the love and admiration of all teachers. Perfect
inner and outer qualifications allow her to deeply believe that
all these things need not be doubted, because she should be the
center of the world -- including Ling’s. She has selected Ling
ever since the beginning but Ling is that much unconstrained,

that she will be able to possess Ling in the end. As long as she

smiles and tears both lose its charm, Sha Zhi falls down from
the clouds to ground. She finally understands that, in the end,
