Arrogant and unrestrained.  Enthusiastic and faithful to love.  For love, he can give up everything that he has and destroy everything. 

            He is forced back to Taiwan to attend his brother’s wedding banquet.  At the event, Tian Qi steals the Queen Mary that the Zhong family has prepared for the wedding.  He just wanted to play a small practical joke to revenge Ya Ruo’s betrayal.

            An uproar arises at the wedding banquet over the lost of the Queen Mary.  During the confusion, Tian Qi shifts the blame onto Xiao Zhi Xing, who is an ex-convict just released on parole from prison…  Xia Zhi Xing mistakes Tian Qi to be the jewelry thief.  She puts on a bossy attitude and teaches Tian Qi to not be so vain.  Furthermore, she takes him back to Tomorrow Village to continue to teach him the right way.

            Being in each other’s company day and night, Tian Qi and Zhi Xing’s feeling gradually start growing.  However, after Tian Qi’s identity is revealed, Ah Xing is furious and she leaves Tian Qi.

            In order to prove that he can live a common life with Ah Xing, he starts working and drinking with the workers to show Ah Xing that he can endure any kind of hardships.

            However, after his father’s hindrance and finding out that Ah Xing accepted the money that his father gave her as a break-up fee, Tian Qi silently leaves.  He returns to the Zhong family and continues on passing each day like a person without a soul.

From the beginning, Tian Qi is repelled by the village life.  Yet later, he develops a relationship with the villagers and also gradually falls in love with Xia Zhi Xing.  Being in each other’s company day and night, Tian Qi and Zhi Xing’s feeling gradually start growing.  However, after Tian Qi’s identity is revealed, Ah Xing is furious and she leaves Tian Qi.  In order to prove that he can live a common life with Ah Xing, he starts working and drinking with the workers to show Ah Xing that he can endure any kind of hardships.  However, after his father’s strong opposition and Ah Xing’s worries, when Tian Qi finds out that Ah Xing accepted the money that his father gave her as a break-up fee, Tian Qi silently leaves.  He returns to the Zhong family and continues on passing each day like a person without a soul.

Intelligent and quick-witted.  She feels inferior about herself and yet is full of confidence.

            Ah Xing’s first love is Zhao Shi San, who is a hoodlum.  When Shi San was being chased after by the police with regards to a missing jewelry case, Ah Xing takes the blame for him and gets locked away in prison.

            Unfortunately after she is released from prison, she learns of Shi San’s betrayal and accidentally becomes a fugitive on the run with Tian Qi.

            Spending all her time with Tian Qi, she discovers that even though Tian Qi is a bit arrogant, but he has a good heart.  Several times when Ah Xing is sad or encounters some difficult situation, on the surface, Tian Qi would ridicule her, but in actuality he cares and protects her.  Ah Xing gradually falls in love with Tian Qi.

            The 10 year old, Xia Zhi Xing is attracted by the jewelry advertisement on TV.  She wants her mother to buy jewelry for her for her birthday present.  But where would the poor Xia family find the money to buy jewelry?  “Ah Xing, look…”  It is night time and Mother Xia takes Ah Xing to go look at stars.  “The stars are glittering so brightly, doesn’t it look like a jewel?  Besides, it is free.  You can look at it for as long as you like…  It will protect us forever.  Just like how Mom would protect her beloved Ah Xing forever.”  Not long after that, Ah Xing’s parents passed away because of an accident.  She is raised by her uncle, Guang Ming and lives in Tomorrow Village.  The reason behind her uncle’s willingness to adopt her is because of the three hundred thousand dollars of insurance that Ah Xing’s first love, Zhao Shi San bought for her.  Even though Shi San is a professional con artist but he gave Ah Xing the love that she most wished for.  When Shi San Ge gets involve in a jewelry fraudulent case and is being chased by the police, Ah Xing takes the blame for him.  She gets locked up in prison and is marked with a criminal record.

            After she gets released from prison, she experiences Shi San’s betrayal.  She and E.Shine Enterprise’s 2^nd son, Zhong Tian Qi, are handcuffed together and loses their love on the same day.  A friendship grows from their pity for each other’s circumstances and they both run off to Tomorrow Village.  Spending all their time together, Ah Xing discovers that even though Tian Qi doesn’t have many good words to say and is somewhat arrogant, but he actually has a good heart.  Several times when Ah Xing is sad or encounters some difficult situation, on the surface, Tian Qi would ridicule her, but in actuality he cares and protects her.  Ah Xing gradually falls in love with Tian Qi.

            Because of her poor family background, she has a past that she can’t stand.  This causes her to discriminate against the poor and lowly people even more and she strives hard to separate herself from this type of people after she becomes successful. 

            Her father is of Chinese descent and a scientist.  He resides at the South Pole doing his research.  Because of her father’s love, she gets to study fashion aboard Italy.  All of this is all lies!!

            Ya Ruo’s father is on a death penalty.  Ya Ruo try her best to erase this shameful past.  She strives to be the best at everything that she does and wishes for success even more than those people around her.  In order to reach her goal, she would do anything to succeed.  Even if she has to sacrifice herself, she wouldn’t care.  The ambitious Ya Ruo also regards love with the same attitude. 

            While working at E.Shine, she meets the sunny Tian Qi and falls in love with him.  After Ya Ruo gets acquainted with Tian Qi’s elder brother, E.Shine’s successor, Zhong Tian Jun and after Tian Jun shows his feelings for her, Ya Ruo starts to have other plans.

            By rationale, Ya Ruo is determined that Tian Jun will be her partner for life.  As a result, she quickly accepts Tian Jun’s pursuit and throws away her relationship with Tian Qi.  When Tian Qi falls in love with the poor Xia Zhi Xing, who is also an ex-convict, Ya Ruo becomes extremely resentful and jealous.

            The more Tian Qi resists Ya Ruo’s love, the more she wishes to win Tian Qi back.  Henceforth, Ya Ruo starts to madly detest Xia Zhi Xing and she is determined to destroy the love between Tian Qi and Xia Zhi Xing. 

(portrayed by Leon Jay Williams) – E.Shine Enterprise’s successor. 

A beautiful coincidence causes Tian Jun to get acquainted with Ou Ya Ruo who works at E.Shine Enterprise.  Tian Jun admires Ya Ruo’s beauty and knowledge.  He admires her working capabilities and her serious, responsible work attitude.  There are many business related matters that Ya Ruo is able to give great opinions on.

            He keeps a low profile and the indecisive Tian Jun gradually starts to depend on Ya Ruo for all her opinions on work-related matters.

            Under Ya Ruo’s deliberate cover-up, Tian Jun believes that she is still single and that she doesn’t have a boyfriend and so he starts to pursue her.  Being the successor of E.Shine Enterprise, Tian Jun throws the ambitious Ya Ruo into a state of confusion.

            Thrown between the mellow and reliable Tian Jun and the rebellious and unrestrained younger brother, Tian Qi, Ya Ruo finally chooses the sensible and easy to understand Zhong Tian Jun.

            From appreciation to admiration, Tian Jun finally pursues Ya Ruo and smoothly wins her over.  On the business front, they become good business partners.  They decide to get engaged but he doesn’t know that this piece of news would hurt his younger brother, Tian Qi’s heart.

            Not long after, Tian Jun receives some photographs that the paparazzi secretly took.  The pictures show his younger brother and Ya Ruo locked together in an intimate kiss.  This intimate action causes Tian Jun to start doubting the nature of the relationship between his younger brother and Ya Ruo… 

            Tian Jun discovers that the one that Ya Ruo truly loves is his younger brother.  However, at this time, his younger brother, Tian Qi has found his true love at Tomorrow Village and falls in love with Xia Zhi Xing.  When Tian Qi and Ah Xing are both in love with each other, Tian Jun is the only one that supports this relationship from the Zhong family.  In the end, in order to help his younger brother’s relationship with Ah Xing, Tian Jun got into a car accident and passed away.  Like the passing away of a meteor shower, is the affectionate and kind-hearted Zhong Tian Jun.

(portrayed by Lee Wei) – A mysterious person seeking revenge.

            Unrestrained and frivolous, likes to play with women’s feelings.  When a woman starts to get really serious, he would break up with her. 

            Han Zhi Yin depends on his tactless acting skills and once in a while commercials to make a living. 

            Privately, he has been investigating the whereabouts of his father for a long time.  He wants to find out why he was abandoned and why his mother is living in a mental hospital.  What was the reason that his father left him and his mother so many years ago?

            There is a rumor that Han Zhi Yin is E.Shine Enterprise’s Zhong Hua’s lover and it is because of this relationship that he is able to get the contract to be the spokesperson for E.Shine Enterprise’s jewelry.  In actuality, they are just two good friends that occasionally get together to play cards.

            When Han Zhi Yin provoked a famous director and lost a ten million dollar contract, in order to redeem the situation, his manager decided to hold a charity event.  Han Zhi Yin would be auctioned off to his fans and one lucky winner would win the prize to be handcuffed to him and spend a whole day and night with him. 

            This event is only opened to fans over the age of 18 but the winner turns out to be a 6 year old girl, Ni Ni.  Ni Ni has no other choice but to force her god-mother, Xia Zhi Xing to go in her place.

            When Tian Qi sees the entertainment news of Ah Xing and the famous celebrity, Han Zhi Yin being handcuffed and spending a whole day and night together, he became extremely jealous.  It causes him to painfully remember the memory of 5 years ago when he was handcuffed together with Ah Xing.

            At the same time, Han Zhi Yin and Ah Xin’s day and night together turns out to be a disaster.  For Ni Ni, Ah Xing tries her best to tolerate the impulsive and arrogant Han Zhi Yin.  As for Zhi Yin, he still acts recklessly and believes that Ah Xing is one of his crazy fans.  He said some impolite and wanton things to her which infuriated Ah Xing.  Ah Xing is so furious that she picks up a glass of water and throws it in Zhi Yin’s face in front of all the reporters and media.  This little incident causes Zhi Yin to become interested in Ah Xing.

He spent his childhood years in Thailand and has never known who his birth father is.  To make a living, his mother endured many hardships.  She often neglects to discipline him and he hangs out on the streets of Thailand all the time.  A fifteen year old teenager with no one to depend on, in this strange life, he couldn’t get use to the lifestyle of Thailand.  His days are filled with corruption and hardship.  He even went to work at those male shops that cater to the needs of women.  Not long after because he got involved in some illegal matter, he was locked away in a juvenile prison, until he meets the savior of his life, Zhong Hua.  He was brought back to Taiwan and received a brand new education.  He joined a management company and step by step, he became a very famous international celebrity.

            When his mother passed away, he inherited one thing from this mother – “Pink Diamond” necklace.  It is said that this is a present that his father gave to his mother.  On this PD necklace are engraved with the initials ES.  For this reason, he has always believed that as long as he can get into E.Shine, then he would be able to solve the mystery related to this necklace and find his own father.  His manager, Qiao Zhi, also knows about this secret.  Zhi Yin entrusts his manager to help him to investigate who his real father is.

He is the mighty and powerful CEO of E.Shine.  After he is diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, he is afraid of losing everything and his controlling personality becomes more and more strict.  He couldn’t stand Tian Qi being associated with a con artist.  He destroys the love between Tian Qi and Ah Xing and inadvertently causes his oldest son, Tian Jun’s death in a car accident.  He hides some of the truths and pushes all the blame onto Ah Xing.  Just like many years ago, when his beloved wife committed suicide because he had an extramarital affair, he pushed all the blame onto his mistress and never admitted to any wrongdoing.

(portrayed by Dong Zhi Cheng) –

Addicted to gambling, his only enemy is Ah Xing, who has completely inherited his sister’s skills.  Every time before he gambles, if he sees Ah Xing, he would lose.  For this reason, he has never been very nice to her.  As for Ah Xing, under her uncle’s special discipline, she becomes very cunning, even more so than her uncle.  She would often play jokes on her uncle and they have both been fighting with each other for many years.  Later, Ah Xing ran away with Shi San Ge and uncle thought that he has gotten rid of his bad luck forever… but not long after that, Ah Xing and Tian Qi appears and Guang Ming is thrown back to his painful and bitter life… 

            He has a guitar and when he has nothing to do, he would start playing it.  The songs that he would often play are Green Island Serenade and Take Care of Yourself Tonight.

(portrayed by Ehlo Huang Yu Rong) –

            Zhao Shi San is from a poverty-stricken family.  His parents didn’t love each other and even his name is just casually chosen.  He was born on Friday the 13^th and his parents just carelessly named him Shi San (translates to thirteen).  As expected, his whole life is unfortunate and he is a child that no one loves.

            He craves for the warmth of a family.  After he meets the gentle and docile Jiang Ming Mei, he chose to betray Ah Xing and creates a family with Ming Mei.  In the end, because of his child’s illness, he turns back to beg Ah Xing for help.

(portrayed by Chen Wei Min) –

A hoodlum in the local village.  He makes his living by collecting “protection money” and his part-time occupation is a professional race car driver.  With his excellent skills, he is named “God of Speed” and “Drifter” by all of the country’s race car drivers!  The race car team that he leads is famous throughout and is the country’s national champion.  At the present time, he still holds the racing records at Tomorrow Village.

            He has a fierce and ruthless personality.  He is rude, unreasonable and bullies everyone around.  He forcefully demands protection money and becomes an economic burden to Tomorrow Village.  The villagers don’t dare to speak up to him and only lets him bully them.  Even though in front of others he acts like he’s a big boss, but privately, he is a gentle guy who is extremely obedient to his girlfriend.  Anything that his girlfriend, Ah Zhu requests, Fa Ge would always do and he wouldn’t dare to say no. 

            Fa Ge always has on this fierce face yet he still likes to play around.  He likes telling jokes and always believes that he is humorous.  He tells jokes that no one understands.  When he doesn’t get the response that he likes from his followers, he would threaten to kick them out of the gang.  They would be so afraid that they force themselves to laugh.  Then Fa Ge would happily pat them on their head and say “Just kidding!”  In the eyes of his followers, Fa Ge is someone who is very loyal and easy-going.  They hate it when others regard Fa Ge as a simpleminded, good for nothing guy.

(portrayed by Zheng Xiao Hui) –

            “Bao Zhu Pork Stand’s” owner’s only daughter.  Pigs in her family are considered a treasure and receive the best treatment.  She is Ah Xing’s good friend.  She has a crush on Tian Qi and also begs Ah Xing to help her pursue him. 

Her biggest worry is that one day her father, who is addicted to gambling, would bring disaster to her.

            One day, she and her good friends Wu Ren Yao and Guang Ming put money together to buy a lotto ticket.  After the prize was announced, she disappeared from the village and was never heard of again.  The villagers all believe that Bao Zhu had won the lotto.

            Five years later, she reappears as Fiona and attends all of the big fashion shows and parties.  She sees Ah Xing, who has married into the Zhong family, and recognizes her.

            He Bao Zhu is dressed all in name brand products and this confirms Ah Xing’s suspicion that Bao Zhu has won the lotto many years ago.  Therefore, when she passes by He Bao Zhu, she would intentionally try to scare her by saying: “He Bao Zhu, Wu Ren Yao is looking for you.”

            Did Bao Zhu really win the lotto?  Bao Zhu’s disappearance is hiding a big secret which will be revealed in the second part of the show.

(portrayed by Guo Shi Lun) –

He is the dream lover of all the female population in Tomorrow Village.  That is, until the appearance of Tian Qi who is even more handsome, more popular and knows how to race cars.  The villagers all go crazy over Tian Qi and feels that Wu Ren Yao couldn’t be compared to Tian Qi.  Wu Ren Yao likes Ah Xing.  He is always using Guang Ming to get close to Ah Xing and create opportunities when he would spend time with Ah Xing alone.

Later, he asks Tian Qi to help him with his relationship problems.  Yet when he discovers Tian Qi and Ah Xing’s relationship and their feelings for each other, he can only silently back away.
