Individual Characteristics:

1.   A stubborn veterinarian with many ideals.  Good-hearted, intelligent, and very popular with the female gender.  Yet he is deeply influenced by his background as he is growing up.  He watches the successive divorces of his grandfather, parents, and elder sister.  As a result, deep in his consciousness, there lies a distrustful attitude towards marriage.

2.  Very skillful, he is able to treat all the women that has favorable feelings for him as good buddies.  He is not a homosexual but he makes all the women who likes him disappointed anyway.

3.  He wants to become a great veterinarian, therefore he throws himself entirely into his career and doesn’t speak of love at all.  The reason for locking away his feelings is because he has a fragile heart that is afraid of being hurt.

Character Background:

1.  His veterinary clinic always have a group of high school female students doing voluntary work who are also his admirers.  They think that He Ping is the greatest veterinarian in the whole world.  Indeed, He Ping is much better with the animals than with people, especially the women that deeply loves him behind his back would think that he is someone who is unattainable and totally out of their reach.

2.  Almost all of He Ping’s college classmates, colleagues, and pet owners are female.  They all know that He Ping treats them as one of his buddies.  They even suspected that He Ping is a homosexual.  As time goes by, He Ping gets accustomed to the days that he would come and go as freely as he pleases.

3.  He Ping is a food critic and he has excelled in cooking since he was young.  The concentration and dedicated look that he has on his face when he is cooking is enough to attract any female.

4.  His friends are always looking to match He Ping up with someone which causes much headaches for He Ping yet he is also unable to refuse.

With regards to Love:

1.  The 25 years old He Ping has witnessed the divorces of his parents, his grandfather and his elder sister and sees how a shattered marriage can bring about devastating plights for everyone.  Actually he really wants to have a beautiful love relationship followed by a happy marriage. 

2.  He Ping often hides his true feelings behind his cool appearance.  He loves animals more than he loves his spouse.  The truth is that he wishes more than anyone else for a beautiful relationship.  Hiding in the Qi family with all these marriage failures brings temporary peace. 

3.  Xi Zhen is one of He Ping’s many admirers.  He Ping doesn’t have much patience with her and also doesn’t have his guard up against her either.  He likes Xi Zhen just as one of his buddies.  Even though he is aware of the feelings that Xi Zhen has for him, but the fear that he has in marriages, truly effects him and causes him to be unable to normally let his feelings loose.

1.  Lively, straightforward personality that strives for happiness while keeping her elegant nature.  She has a toughness to her, very easily trusts other people, doesn’t carry grudges, a blurry sweet girl.

2.  Loves to laugh and also loves to cry, a very simple and pure personality, can endure hardship but her temper is not small at all. 

3.  She doesn’t have a habit of dressing up.  Even though she has an inborn beauty yet she still dresses casually.  She is able to do all kinds of heavy manual labor and has tremendous strength.

Character Background:

1.  Studying aboard from Korea, recommended for admission to the veterinarian department at the University of Taiwan and extremely independent.

2.  Her parents divorce when she was very young and she was raised by her grandmother.  She longs for a happy family life.  But when she finds out that He Ping only sees her as one of his buddies, she clenches her teeth and waits for the day when He Ping will change.

With regards to Love:

1.  Her feelings are extremely pure.  She believes that true love will change all that is impossible to change.  She likes He Ping and secretly locks him as her target as someone she can depend on for the rest of her life.

2.  She believes love is something one has to pay a price for in order to be able to get the perfect outcome.  As a result, she is willing to endure He Ping’s attitude of not regarding her as a female. 

3.  Occasionally, Xi Zhen would lose her patience and can’t bear the fact that He Ping doesn’t pay mind to her feelings for him.  But she is always very optimistic and believes that sooner or later He Ping would discover her existence.

Individual Characteristics:

1.  An extreme individual, intensely expresses her likes, dislikes, anger and sorrow.  Possesses an extremely sensitive power of observation.  But under all the pressures from working in the television broadcasting station, this leads to her having a tendency to be a bit impatient and hot-tempered. 

2.  Actually she is very tenderhearted yet is also very stubborn.  She refuses to admit mistakes and will strongly and stubbornly fight for what she believes in.  Has the temperament of a typical artist.

Character Background:

A female screenwriter that is constantly under lots of pressure.  When she is filled with anger, she would always take it out on her ex-husband, Zhang Dong Li.

With regards to Love:

1.  She believes that a romantic love is something that one would sacrifice everything to obtain.  In other words, once the romantic quality is lost in a relationship, then it will completely lose all its value.  In the plays that she writes, she would put in her real life theoretical values into it.

2.  She and her ex-husband, Zhang Dong Li are unusual acquaintances.  They both live a crazy life that is like there is no tomorrow.  Kai Le would often say that if she wasn’t a screenwriter, the thing that she wants to do the most is to be an assassinator.

Individual Characteristics:

1.  Has been a happy and clever person since he was young.  He never suffered any loses and is very good at using any person, thing, object that will be advantageous to him.  He would often cause people to misunderstand him and think that he is a selfish person.  But actually he is only a kid that still hasn’t grown up yet.

2.  He is actually someone who doesn’t have any sense of security and can’t withstand pressure and that’s why he intentionally puts on an “I don’t care about anything” expression.  Yet he has an extremely sensitive heart.

3.  He is very easily touched and also very easy fooled.  He always believes that everything will change for the better tomorrow but in actuality, he hopes that nothing will change.

Character Background:

1.  Grandpa never looked highly on his job and thought that he doesn’t have any specialty.  Yet he only dares to protest Grandpa’s views on him after he gets drunk. 

2.  Always urges his son to hold onto his happiness but he is not close to his son at all.  Actually he is a little scared of his son who is completely different from himself.  Occasionally, he has to remind himself of his status as the father.  He would often feel inferior when teaching or making recommendations to his son.

3.  He and his ex-wife, Xiu Min still maintains an unusual relationship.  Often he would forget and it is because he intentionally forgets, the fact that they are already divorced,  that he would frequently still ask his ex-wife to take care of the trivial matters in life for him.

With regards to Love:

1.  Si Fan’s job entitles him to be able to meet many girlfriends all over the world.  He is fluent in eight different languages, but this is only restricted to communication between “man and woman” relationships. 

2.  He was married at the age of 18 years old because his girlfriend was pregnant and they gave birth to a daughter.  Yet it is also because of his wild ways that makes him have constant arguments with his wife, Lin Xiu Min.  They finally divorced after Si Fan had a serious affair one time.

1.  A bit of a timid person.  She likes to hide within a crowd of people.  Hopes that everything can be settled peacefully with as little quarrel as possible. 

2.  Very easily she can promise others to do things that would be against her own conscience, but she doesn’t know how to refuse people.  However, she hides within herself a part of her that is completely different than her present personality. 

Character Background:

After she couldn’t stand her husband’s wild and playboy ways, Xiu Min launched into a revolution.  She demanded to point out all the wrong things that Qi Si Fan has done to do her and as a result, gets a divorce to resume her single status.

With regards to Love:

1.  Actually she still regards her ex-husband, Qi Si Fan, as the center of all her feelings in life.  Without complaint or regret, she has made it a habit of taking care of her ex-husband whom she has divorced for many years already.  Even though, she knows that they do not have a future together, but this strange relationship still maintains between them.

2.  Towards her future husband, Ah San, she has a total personality change.  She seems to have became like the past Si Fan and sits idling while enjoying Ah San’s protective ways.

Individual Characteristics:

1.  Quiet and moderate personality with an extremely strong fighting spirit.

2.  Well educated and knows a lot of things, including astronomy and geography.  He can calculate anything, including a person’s life and death.

Character Background:

Xiu Min’s fiancé, has a doctorate’s degree in mathematics.  Even though he has an ordinary appearance, yet he is extremely considerate towards Xiu Min.

With regards to Love:

Fate makes it possible for him to bump into Xiu Min after her divorce.  He follows her home and asks for her phone number.  From then on, he launched into a violent pursuit of her and then swears that he will make her his wife.
 

Individual Characteristics:

Has a simple and pure personality like that of Xi Zhen’s, could say that they are two peas in the same pod.

Character Background:

1.  She’s an unmarried lady at the age of 55 years old.  Is a sister of Grandpa’s fellow officer from the air force.

2.  Has been Qi family’s housekeeper for more than 20 years.  She treats Si Fan, Kai Le, He Ping like that of her own children.

With regards to Love:

She has had a crush on Grandpa since she was young but everyone knows that she is not the type that Grandpa likes.  But like Xi Zhen, she also silently guards the one that she loves, waiting for the arrival of happiness with no complaints and regrets!

Individual Characteristics:

He plays ruthlessly but actually has a very good heart.  Even though he always gets into arguments with Kai Le, but when she meets with trouble, Dong Li would still stand out to help her.

Character Background:

Is a well-known mafia assassinator in Taiwan. 

With regards to Love:

Jumped right into marriage after unexpectedly meeting Kai Le.  Not even three days into their honeymoon, they rapidly got a divorce.  However, even though they are both divorced, but because they both love this crazy life style of living only for today, therefore, in the 5 years that they are divorced, they remarried and re-divorced 3 more times.

Individual Characteristics:

1.  Personality of a typical pilot.  Very logical with discipline but also very much in love with himself. 

2.  Often practices Taiji to maintain a healthy body.  At his leisure, he would practice his writing brush skills and also listen to pilot talk in English to practice his English.

Character Background:

1.  Is a typical military man, a retired high-ranking pilot in the air force with lots of shining medals.  He was sent overseas to receive training when he was young.  As a result, his style and manner are very open-minded.  After he retired from the military, he was hired by an airline to be a high level manager.

2.  He always thinks that his son doesn’t have any special skills, but he loves his grandson very much.

With regards to Love:

Because he is open-minded and works as a high level manager at the airline, that’s why he is deeply admired by lots of female flight attendants.  So of course, Si Fan would inherit his father’s wild ways. 

Individual Characteristics:

1.  Lively and socialable personality. 

2.  Has a suitable knowledge level and occasionally likes to play cards.

3.  She feels extreme pain in her heart due to the fact that Grandpa doesn’t look highly upon their son.  As a result, she is the only one that would frequently encourage Si Fan.

Character Background:

Grandma was an exchange student that Grandpa met when he was training abroad.  Because Grandma’s family is wealthy, therefore she dresses up very well when she was young and until now she still maintains that same style and manner.

With regards to Love:

Because Grandpa and Grandma’s style are both very open-minded, therefore, they both would get into lots of arguments over their loose affairs when they were young.  In order to give each other their own personal space, as a result, they divorced but still remain good friends.  Yet, these recent years, Grandma’s boyfriends tend to be getting younger and younger, a distinct difference compare to Grandpa’s gentleman style who comes from the circle of high class society.

Individual Characteristics:

1.  Is extremely confident in himself.

2.  After returning from studying aboard in England, he became an extremely gentle guy.  Could be called "a lover without any faults."

Character Background:

1.  When he was young, he was a very common chubby kid but after he comes back from studying aboard, he changed completely. 

2.  But there was a time when He Ping lied and placed all the blame on him.  Being that he has such confidence and pride in himself, he couldn't endure this shame.  In his anger, he jumped off a building. Fortunately, he only injured his leg but this event is the reason that He Ping is not able to lie again. 

With regards to Love:

1.  Meets Xi Zhen through his relationship with He Ping and falls in love with Xi Zhen at first sight.

2.  Is very forgiving towards He Ping.  Not only is he forgiving about the incident when he was young, but he also constantly reminds He Ping to show some care and concern towards Xi Zhen.
