Leaving his hometown to study aboard, he obtains a master's degree at the business school. Later, due to a fellow classmate's invitation, he joins Xi Wang Company to work. After his education, he returned back home. At the airport, he and Xiao Qi mistakenly took each other's luggage. As a result, they get acquainted and the two of them has been dating for 2 years. Guan Jun is a good man who is optimistic and creative but when he is confronted with pressure, it would make others feel that he is weak and fragile.

TV reporter, Guan Jun's girlfriend. After graduating from college, Xiao Qi continued to stay aboard to advance her studies. In her first year returning back to the country after her education ended, her mother passed away due to an illness. Before her mother left this world, she entrusted and asked Xiao Qi to stay behind and take care of her younger brother. Xiao Qi has always felt apologetic and regretful toward her younger brother, Xiao Jun because of an accident that happened when they were young that caused her beloved younger brother to lose a normal person's hearing. It's also because of her own shame toward her brother's handicap that has her unwilling to get married. Xiao Qi works very seriously, but with regards to her life, she is really very clumsy. Because of the need to cover stories, she often loves to drive fast. Has a warm personality and her existence brings a circle of bright light. Even though she is not aware of this, but this is also the innocent quality that simultaneously attracts Guan Jun and Yi Long to her.

Creative Director of an advertising company. Xiao Qi's senior classmate. Yi Pei's elder brother. Just like a famous black sports car, Yi Long's lineage is natural-born noble. Guan Jun's assistant. Yi Long's younger sister. Member of Say Yes Enterprise. Is Guan Jun's student in the business administration training class when he is teaching. She majored in psychology in college. She is very good at knowing other people's intentions and feelings through their dialogs and small actions. Yi Pei's personality is frank, intelligent, and full of righteousness. On the surface, she is like a wild and barbarous girl but privately, she possesses detailed and frail thoughts. Actually she is very keen but she doesn't deliberately reveal it. She has a type of relaxing, complying attitude. She loves to act like a kid and goes to the amusement park and shout like a mad woman at the top of her lungs while riding roller coasters. She is an interesting specie of the new generation. A bit ruthless, a bit independent, with a bit of strange, maddening thoughts and humor.

A retired employee of the Foreign Affairs Department. Guan Jun's father, member of Say Yes Enterprise. A specialist in electrical engineering. There was a time when he was dispatched and stationed in South America for 8 long years. During this time, he was influenced by the Latin ethic group's romantic humor and wit, the satisfied and carefree nature and he also learned his habit of drinking. When he comes back to the country, because of the change in his character and his drinking problem, it caused the failure in his marriage. He and Guan Jun's manner of getting along is like that of buddies and good friends. Occasionally, they will step on each other's tails and occasionally, they will encourage and support each other. With regards to not being able to supply Guan Jun with an intact family, he has always felt very guilty and ashamed in his heart.

Xiao Qi's younger brother. Member of Say Yes Enterprise. Has handsome features, a tall and lean body yet he is still rather pale, thin and weak looking. When he was young, because of an incident that was caused by Xiao Qi, it caused his right ear to lose its hearing. From then on, he closed up on himself and refused to communicate with the outside world. Actually, he's just afraid that when he talks with other people that he would cause embarrassment due to his bad hearing so that's why he would always carry with him his hearing aid to protect himself. Until he gets in contact with the internet, that's when he discovers a world that one can talk and communicate in without having to speak. He likes to play online games. As a result of being immersed in the internet world all day and night, he becomes a computer expert at gathering information. Xiao Jun has a good and honest nature. He is happy to help anyone out yet he is not good at expressing himself. Therefore, with regards to Yi Pei's admiration and adoration, it has always been a secret in his heart.
 

Story 1

Xi Wang Food Company's General Manager.

Studied aboard since he was young and received his education in America. Came back to Taiwan with a MBA degree after graduating and is confronted with the cultural difference. He loves Taiwan's culture and towards everything, he has a sense of freshness and interest. He always goes to the Pub with his ABC friends and loves to release his stress by shopping. Faced with the high stress job of operating a company and his obsessive aunt, he gradually discovers that he has a slight case of obsessive compulsive disorder. Even though he displays himself in a refine and natural manner in front of other people, but privately, he would unconsciously repeat an action over and over again, unceasingly and not being able to stop. On An An, he finds a happy and carefree sense of security.

 

Her grandfather is an actor in the Chinese opera play. When it comes to her father's generation, the play has become a dance company. Her father is the leader of the dance group and has taught her singing and dancing. She has attended all sorts of parties and banquets with her father. With a lifestyle of traveling around, it has allowed An An to acquire a set of happy and cheerful logics, facing things calmly when it comes and not afraid of difficulties. After she meets with Zhen Kai, this starts a whole different world of dangers. At first, she believed that freshness is interesting, but under Zhen Kai's Gu Gu's objections and hindrances, she discovers that she is not compatible with the upper class society. As a result, this brings about an inferior knot to their relationship.

Xi Wang Food Company's Chairwoman.

Her appearance and dress are always in perfection, enthusiastic in helping people. She has never used hateful or severe words but within her heart, she actually possesses stern and strict values and morals. She gets up at 6 a.m. in the morning, jogs for 30 minutes, calculates the calories before eating, is sure to break off her eating on Sundays. No matter how tired she is, she will always go through 10 different procedures to protect herself before she goes to sleep. When she goes to bed, she must wear socks, gloves, and a silk cap to take care of herself. She shows finesse and is very smart. She will never get into a dispute with anyone and there would always be a way for her to make things go the way that she wants it to go. Her personality really isn’t tyrannical. It's just that she knows that her decisions are correct and that it is for the purpose of looking out for everyone and everything. Yet, this would unconsciously bring about tremendous pressure and stress to the people all around.

Leader of the dance group.

He is very strict in his teachings of the group members and An An. He believes that in order to survive in this world, a girl must love and take care of herself. He sets a rule that group members must not be in a relationship before the age of 25 and that they must return home before 10 p.m. He picks on the fact that An An doesn't pay attention to what she is doing when she is working and always making mistakes. He believes that his daughter must train and practice even more intensely than others in order to gain the respect of the other members in the group.

An An's mom's younger sister.

She doesn't approve and is extremely against An An's father for engaging his daughter in the occupation of working in a dance group. She has different standpoints with An An's father and occasionally have disputes with him. Yet, putting aside their different standpoints, they both share a type of understanding and affection for each other. She runs a Karaoke shop and An An would often steal time to go there and sing to her heart's content.
 

Story 2

When he was in the military service, he was selected and appointed by a crucial person in the army to enter into the investigative law department. During one assignment, disguised as a magician, he sneaked into a hotel to investigate the case of politicians collaborating with triads and making corrupt money and runs into Xiao Hong, his lover from more than 10 years ago. When his superiors found out about the relationship that Ah Jie and Xiao Hong has ten years ago, they ordered him to withdraw from this assignment. Yet, all the memories attacks him. Ten years of hoping and dreaming, causes Ah Jie to be unable to let go. Between his assignment and his relationship, Ah Jie is stuck in the middle and has a lot to carry on his shoulder, causing him to bear tremendous pressure. After a period of struggles, he finally decides that he won't care what the future will be. He just couldn't give up on Xiao Hong and allow her to sink into a dark world, losing her true self.

Because of her loyalty, she experiences a succession of friendship, love, and money betrayals. Debt on top of debt, she could only gather up her feelings and work as a night club girl. Until she gets acquainted with Cao Lao Ban, who paid her debts for her and since then, she becomes his woman. In order to repay his gratitude, she would often use her beauty and finesse to help Cao Lao Ban settle businesses.
 

When he was young, he managed a small snack business. Because of the help of a triad boss, his business turned into a real estate business. It started with the building of homes, then onto detective agencies and banks. Plus the fact that he had the triad boss looking out for his back, he gradually became more and more successful. He always goes to night clubs and meeting Xiao Hong, he is spellbound by her beauty and her air of arrogance. He decides to help her repay her debt and the price is that she will have to become his woman. To Xiao Hong, there are always truths and no lies, but when disaster strikes, his own benefit and advantage lies first. Due to the fact that he gradually gets acquainted with lots of politicians, he gets involved with the complicated disputes of money and power and is a suspect on the case of dealing with corrupt money. In the end, he was sent off to jail.
 

Story 3

Calm and steady personality, adept at planning. A considerate and kind-hearted good man. After leaving the army, he works as a small supervisor in a computer accessories store. He takes his work seriously and makes progress. Looking forward to the day when he succeeds in his career before getting into marriage. Sets a goal to prove that he has the strength and ability to provide Xiao Niao with a secure and steady life style. Ordinarily, his biggest interest, besides playing games at the internet café, is working out. As a result, there are sandbags and rings installed inside the home. Compressing his emotions, working out is also a good way to subside a violent mood and calm one's feelings.

Xiao Qi's college roommate. A romantic and sensible girl. Likes yoga and drawing. When she gets mad, she will draw mocking cartoons to balance her mood. After graduating, she still hasn't found a job that she is passionate about. As a result, she never works long in those couple of jobs that she did work at. In the end, she just stays at home and becomes an idle, unemployed citizen. She met Shu during her college days and experiences the love of a college student along with the wait when Shu goes off to join the military. Afterwards, they lived together and is in a relationship for 6 years. There are occasional disputes yet their relationship is stable, looking forward to marriage.

When he was young, he worked within a small company. As he grew older, his career was a success, a model of his father. He arrives at his middle age years, seeing that the days of living in comfort after retirement is not far away, yet he is met with the unexpected death of his daughter. Has a solemn attitude. He loves and cares about Xiao Niao very much but he doesn't always show it. He admires and acknowledges Shu's responsible nature and his goal in life. Facing the tremendous change after the incident, even though his grieves and sorrows are so overflowing that no words can describe it, he still has to rationally face and take care of all the little things.

Is opposite of Xiao Niao's father's calm and cool nature. Xiao Niao's mom has a carefree and enthusiastic nature. After she got married, she has always been a housewife, taking meticulous care with the housework. She also likes Shu, yet because she couldn't accept Shu's slowness in marrying her daughter, she blamed the incident on Shu. Her anger was so strong and powerful that there was no way of calming her down.

Story 4

From Hong Kong.

Got caught up in a passionate relationship with a Taiwanese man when she was 18 years old, jumped right into marriage and moved to Taiwan. Unexpectedly, her husband passed away due to an illness when she was pregnant. Since then, she stayed in the village and raised her child all by herself. Her personality seems to be out-going and lively. Acts like friends with her son and there's nothing that they don't talk about. But actually, she is a detailed and sensible person within and has this quiet power that can heal the souls of the people around her. Gets acquainted with Xiao Wu after some misunderstanding yet after they both start growing a favorable impression of the other within each other's hearts, that's when she finds out that he is her son's classmate. As a result, the unstoppable problems starts arising. However, under Xiao Wu's reckless and intense pursuit, the dream that she endured much pain to give up and the need for the feelings that she has constrained since she was young, at this moment, begins to deeply call out to her.

When he was in middle school, his parents divorced. His mother remarried and moved to Hong Kong to live. His father's nature is very stern and strict on having authority who works as a taxi cab driver from dawn till dusk, non-stop. For this reason, Xiao Wu grew up in loneliness. He works to support himself and is very independent, comes and goes freely with little words. He is very popular with the girls, yet he has no feelings for girls that are the same age as him. He is deeply attracted to the charm of his classmate, Xiao Yang's mother, Joy, a mature woman and recklessly and enthusiastically pursues her. When she throws a temper, she is out of control and no one is able to stop her. After each of her tantrums, she would just roll over and go to sleep. She's naïve and enthusiastic, a happy girl in everyone's eyes. In her scheming plot with her sister Qiang Qiang, she plays the role of the one that does all the work.
