He never gave up on the dream of producing albums. There was a time when he was singing in a Pub on one hand and selling curry rice on the street on the other hand. At one point, he was so poor that he wasn't even able to buy food and to satisfy his hunger for the three meals in the day, he would smoke cigarettes. Even though this is the case, Ah Xin has never given up on music. At the time when Ah Xin is at his lowest point in life, Xiao Shu shows up in his life, giving him the biggest support and encouragement.

Inside the entertainment circle, he is like everyone's big brother. He would always help the other band members with their worries and difficulties. Later, he meets Linda and it causes Michael to once again have hopes toward love again. However, Michael is still not able to truly open up his heart to accept this love and their path down the road of love is extremely hard and exhausting.

For his own dream in music, he and Xiao Hua comes to Taiwan. At the beginning, he didn't even know one Mandarin word. Tomi's personality is rather easy-going and uncaring toward things, but his persistence towards music is something that no one can compare to. For his dream, Tomi continuously produces music and constantly sends his works to the record companies but all he gets in return is continuous disappointment. Tomi's family circumstances are not too good. Being the oldest, he is extremely filial to his parents. In order to not let his family be worried, he would always be announcing good news rather than bad. His family's support is Tomi's biggest motivation.

He hopes that one day he will be able to succeed and show his family and friends his achievement. Chris has formed a band before but were frequently faced with the issue of members withdrawing. Left with disappointments and despair, Chris gave up on the dream of forming a band. He goes to the music shop to teach young kids music and to sell musical instruments. With the time that he has left over, he would strive hard to create music hoping to produce an album that only has guitar music. Until the appearance of Ah Xin and the others, Chris's confidence in forming a band rises once again.

Shin Band's bass player. Has a simple and optimistic personality. Is the youngest one within the band. Xiao Hua is a native of Indonesia who grew up in Hong Kong. He leaves Hong Kong's poor and barren music environment to come to Taiwan's music industry to look for an opportunity. On the appearance, Xiao Hua seems to be carefree and happy but in fact, he possess a sullen side to him within himself. When he is faced with unhappy things, he would frequently repress his emotions deep inside his heart. Tomi is the one that understands Xiao Hua the best. Their relationship is that of a teacher/student and also a friend. Xiao Hua is very loyal. He has a bit of rashness in his personality but his fury comes fast and also leaves fast.

Ah Xin's girlfriend, 23 years old, optimistic, lively. Xiao Shu is the band's lead female vocalist and is also Ah Xin's disciple. She and Ah Xin have known each other for a long time and has always gotten along as buddies. Until the day when Xiao Shu is heartbroken over a love and Ah Xin's comfort and attentive consideration stirs up some changes in their friendship. But because Xiao Shu has a boyfriend who treats her very well, it causes Xiao Shu and Ah Xin's relationship to be especially hard. At the time when Ah Xin is at his lowest point in life, Xiao Shu would be supporting him with no complaints or regrets. She would think of ways to make Ah Xin happy and think of ways to cheer him on. Ah Xin's loitering way would change because of her. Ah Xin's faith, which has at one time wavered, would persist because of her. Xiao Shu's family circumstances are not bad but the independent Xiao Shu doesn't want to depend on the family and never asks for money! The only time that she did was when Ah Xin's father had to be operated and admitted to the hospital but in the end, Ah Xin still graceful refused Xiao Shu's good intention.

23 years old, beautiful, smart, graduated with a Master's degree, manager of a foreign company. Qian Qian is Chris's girlfriend. They've been in love for many years. Qian Qian's father is the teacher that taught Chris how to play classical piano in the past. Qian Qian is a very reasonable and rational female. She's very close with Chris's family. Qian Qian would cover up for Chris but this stems from her love for Chris and doesn't mean that she understands Chris's attachment towards music. She wanted to convince Chris to give up music and engage in work that is with respect to computers. But in the end, Qian Qian is touched by Chris stubbornness towards music. Not only did she turn over to supporting and encouraging him, but she also speak good words for him in front of the elders.

22 years old, lively and overenthusiastic, foolish and playful personality. Xiao Shu's good friend, Shin’s number 1 loyal fan. Xiao Hui's nature is careless and when she does things, she is always leaving things out left and right. Yet she is very enthusiastic in helping people out and frequently turns simple matters into something complicated. It's possible to say that wherever Xiao Hui is, there is bound to be a disaster. Tomi and Xiao Hua, because both of them came to Taiwan and was the most looked after by Xiao Hui, it is only natural that they would specially get a bit more "payback." Since Xiao Hui is Xiao Shu's good friend, she knows about Xiao Shu's worries and the things on her mind. She will think of ways to match make Ah Xin, Xiao Shu, but often she would be more of a hindrance than a help.

27 years old, Xiao Shu's boyfriend, electronics expert. His social, economical and family background is the same as Xiao Shu's. He treats Xiao Shu very well, so well that there is no reason or justification for Xiao Shu to dump him. Each time that he shows up, Ah Xin's heart would ache and be bitter.

25 years old, flight attendant, Michael's ex-girlfriend. Appears again after Shin becomes famous and hopes to get back together with Michael.

35 years old, owner of a Pub, sophisticated, independent, confident, professional. Because of the band's performance, she gets acquainted with Michael. From the start, their relationship has been like that of an elder sister and younger brother who talks about everything. However, with the course of time, Michael gradually starts falling for Linda. Faced with Michael's feelings, Linda would always intelligently avoid the issue and not let the feelings to continue to develop. But in the end, Linda was moved by Michael's sincerity. Just when the two of them starts to express their feelings for each other, Michael's ex-girlfriend appears again, throwing their relationship into disarray.

Kind and amiable person, tradition thinking. In the family, she is the one that shows the most opposition to Chris's love in rock and roll music. The phrase that she is always saying is "If we knew that it would be this way, then we wouldn't have sent you to study music when you were young!"

Educated scholar, is a college professor, has the manners of a scholar too. Struggle endlessly between the pressures of a well-educated traditional family and his son's interests. Was disappointed at the fact that Chris couldn't be like him and live up to his expectations to get into an ideal college, get a master's degree, get a doctorate's degree. Later he was touched y Chris's stubbornness and perseverance towards music and becomes his son's most important helper and supporter.
