Pi Li University is an advanced school well known throughout the country for their outstanding scholarly research academics. The school’s style is strict and conservative. Under the Principal, who stresses academics over sports, Li Zi Ping’s governing, all active types of athletic sports nearly becomes extinct. Even with the annual national college league tournament C.U.B.A, which arouses the participation of all the youngsters, the five famous basketball colleges – Xuan Wu, Cang Long, Bai Hu, Zhu Que, and Deng Lin, who will receive the championship trophy? Well, within Pi Li’s campus, no one cares at all! The day before the end of the summer vacation, within this quiet campus, a draft of disturbance unexpectedly appears in the atmosphere… Li Ying, being the chief consultant for the NBA Coaching Group in the past and able to see through to a player’s basketball skills and level with one glance, returns to the country. She proposes to her father, Li Zi Ping, to hold the position as the Coach of Pi Li Basketball Team at Pi Li University. She has dreams and enthusiasm towards basketball, but her father just coldly responds to her. He even worries that the rotten reputation of the Pi Li Team would destroy the reputation that his daughter had accumulated during her time with the NBA. In order to prove her own abilities to her father, Li Ying is determined to become the Coach for the Pi Li Basketball Team. At the same time, in order to chase the basketball dream in his heart, Yuan Da Ying inherited a gold thread basketball (the only thing that Grandma Tie Lan left behind) that his deceased grandma kept and left for him. Following his grandma’s dying wish, Da Ying leaves his hometown and comes to find Pi Li University’s Principal, Li Zi Ping’s father. Due to Li Zi Ping’s father’s last dying words, Li Zi Ping takes Yuan Da Ying into his home. As a result, Da Ying becomes Li Ying’s first member for the basketball team. Obtaining the national college league tournament MVP status, the talented basketball player, Dong Fang Xiang, unexpectedly transfers from the “undefeated” famous basketball Xuan Wu Institute of Technology to Pi Li University! Dong Fang Xiang’s appearance creates a big uproar within Pi Li University. The reason being, aside from his outstanding basketball experience, he possesses a handsome appearance and an extraordinary family background (son of Dong Fang Corporation’s CEO.) Moreover, he received an award for his outstanding performance in a Nationwide Academics Competition when he was in high school, so his appearance brings about a whirlwind to campus! As for Da Ying, he gets acquainted with Zhan Jie Er, a student with outstanding grades, after entering into Pi Li University. Because Jie Er’s appearance reminds Da Ying of his childhood playmate – Gu Gu Ji, he develops a strange, favorable impression towards Jie Er. However, at the same time, Jie Er is Dong Fang Xiang’s family’s driver’s daughter. There is also an ambiguous relationship between these two childhood friends.
