Story 1 - Sparrow Turns Into A Phoenix:
On the stage, a few girls are dancing very enthusiastically and lively. In the audience, the sounds of applauses and whistling was non-stop just like that of a fiesta. One girl was dancing, dancing, one turn, she suddenly trips and falls to the floor. Carelessly, she pulls the girl next to her to the floor too and the audiences have to hold onto their stomachs from laughing so hard. The flustered girl helps her partner (the girl she knocked down) to her feet. But with another careless pull, she pulls the girl's fake wig off her head. The laughter from the audience is beyond control now. After the two girls stand up on their feet, the minute that the girl starts dancing again, she steps onto the foot of her partner. This girl was in pain and holding onto her injured foot, was hoping up and down. The crowd of reporters in the audience are ferocious taking picture after picture of the whole event.
This is The Zong Yi Dance Company that Xi Wang Enterprise has invited to entertain their workers due to an excellent sales record on their products. General Manager, Zhen Kai, smiles and looks at the girl on the stage that made all the mistakes. His eyes follows her closely and twinkles with amusement. "Zhen Kai, don't look. This is our culture, Taiwan's blue collar social class's ballet." An elegant woman approaches, Zhen Kai's aunt, the Chairwoman of Xi Wang Enterprise. Zhen Kai's smile immediately disappears from his face and obediently leaves with his Aunt. No one notices that his right hand is tightly flexing over and over again. On the stage, the girl continues to dance shamelessly and backstage, there is a pair of severe eyes that is holding onto its fury. The performance on the stage finally ends and all the girls go backstage, out of breath. "Are we a dance company or a circus?!" The leader of the dance group yelled with his veins popping out. An An, who was originally laughing and giggling with her fellow partners, immediately silenced and lowers her head. "Do you know the meaning of the word embarrassed? You made a whole mess up on that stage and you would dare to laugh and giggle! Being the group leader's daughter, with your performance, what right would I have to lead all the members?!" Faced with her father's criticism, An An is so upset that she couldn't utter one word. The members all gather around An An to help her out. It's not good to be putting up a scene here. If there is anything more to say, say it when they get back. An An's father suppresses his anger and leaves.
Another performance starts on the stage and An An stays behind, going over to a corner of the factory to kick at little stones, blaming herself for what happened. From far away, Zhen Kai sees An An sitting all alone by herself. He goes over to her and gently praises her on her performance. An An breaks out into laughter through her tears. In Zhen Kai's sports car, An An is sitting around restlessly. This is the first time in her life that she is sitting in such a high class sports car. Zhen Kai turns the music on and it's Summer Night Breeze. An An calls out in surprise. I love this song very much. This is the song that has accompanied me during the time that my mom passed away. Zhen Kai says that during the time that he is studying aboard, as long as he is listening to this song when he is driving, then he would be able to relieve the stress of being in a foreign land and his loneliness. On this road, with the windows down, these two lunatics, sang along with the song Summer Night Breeze, loudly.
The car
stops outside of the baseball field. Zhen Kai leads An An to climb over
the wall and break in. An An, who has always had a strict
Back in the car later, Zhen Kai and An An happily laughs and sings. The car slowly rolls through the factory's gate and the only thing that could be seen is the van of the dance company. The members are all silent and An An's father has his arms crossed over his chest. There is a strong, intense pressure in the air. An An slowly gets out of the car and Zhen Kai slips her his business card into her hand.
At An An's home, each article of An An's clothing is flying out of her room. An An's father's shouts could be heard coming from inside the room. He shouts at her to leave. A person who has broken the rule that members of the dance company cannot be in a relationship before the age of 25 is not fit to be a member of the group. All the group members try to help out, some try to convince An An's father, some try to help An An gather her clothes together. Some members advised her to move to her Aunt's house to live for a few days and wait until An An's father's anger has dispersed first.
An An goes to her aunt's Karaoke shop. The moment that she sees her Aunt,An An throws herself into her arms and cries. Her aunt understands that it must be that old man that has tossed her beloved niece out. An An's Aunt is enraged. He shouldn't have told his daughter to dance these types of unorthodox dances in the first place. She loves An An dearly and tells An An to stay with her. To live the life of a normal girl. If she wants to get into a relationship, then go ahead. One's youth cannot be spent in vain. A sleepless night, An An rolls around on her bed and couldn't fall asleep. She takes out Zhen Kai's business card and thinks about her future, whether it has all changed because of meeting this person.
Zhen Kai's assistant, Guan Jun, finds out that Zhen Kai's Aunt wants to gather all the people under her and take all their support from Zhen Kai. Zhen Kai doesn't believe it and keeps on defending his Aunt again and again. Zhen Kai starts to flex his hand again. Guan Jun yells at Zhen Kai for being confused and not understanding. Doesn't he realize that he has an obsessive compulsive disorder? It must be his Aunt's pressure that has created it. They both have a serious argument, Guan Jun is very angry and resigns from his job. Zhen Kai starts to nervously arrange his desk. At this moment, An An comes to find Zhen Kai and his nerves slowly starts to relax. Zhen Kai listens to what has happened to An An and apologizes. It's all his fault for getting her in trouble. He promises her that he will find a job for her but An An's education and the company's position doesn't match up. The factory is the only choice.
An An starts her career. She happily does her job and stays out of trouble. Zhen Kai often uses the excuse of patrolling the factory to go and see An An. He dresses up as a worker and the two of them would be whistling along as they work in the production line together. After work, Zhen Kai would take An An to the club and get together with his ABC friends. This is An An's first time in a club so it's refreshing and exciting but Zhen Kai's ABC friends all speak English so she could only sit silently and listen, feeling uneasy all over. In order to not let An An be in an awkward situation, Zhen Kai requests that everyone speak in the Chinese language. Although Zhen Kai's good intention puts An An at ease, but within her, she still feels embarrassed and inferior. Zhen Kai gets a sudden inspiration and decides to step into An An's world.
In the noisy and bright night market, the sounds of the people are disorderly. An An and Zhen Kai competes at shooting water balloons, shooting the BB gun, fishing up the goldfishes, playing pinball, winning dolls, playing with the dice, roasting sausages, eating snacks, having a great time. Zhen Kai has not had so much fun for a long, long time. He is always going with his aunt to the high class restaurants, hanging out with his ABC friends in the clubs, shopping, but with An An, he actually has a really free feeling. Along the way, An An teaches Zhen Kai to use Taiwanese to buy things. Zhen Kai teaches An An English. They both kept playing and having fun and invented Taiwanese-English. Afterwards, An An takes Zhen Kai to her Aunt's Karaoke shop to sing. The shop is filled with touches of humanity. Zhen Kai's heart is filled with warmth. Under this type of environment, he unexpectedly gets a steadfast and tranquil feeling.
Someone
starts talking inside the factory, tells the factory director and the
factory directory tells the Chairwoman, Zhen Kai's Aunt. When Gu Gu
finds out, on the surface, she is fond of An An and asks Zhen Kai to
bring An An over often. She pretends to be friendly, brings An An to
stroll around the famous shops, changing An An's shoes for her, changing
An An's casual attire to a famous suit, changing An An's hairstyle. Gu
Gu takes the transformed An An to and from all kinds of high class
social events. Every time that An An opens her mouth to talk, she would
cause an embarrassment. When she's drinking champagne, she would say
that this beer is very sweet. Her left hand will hold the knife and the
right hand will hold the fork - she will always switch them around or
breaks things. Everyone that she meets has come back after studying
aboard, English, French, Italian, a world that is totally strange to
her.
Story 2 - Loving Windy Dust:
Inside the club, Ah Jie is performing some magic tricks to entertain everyone. The business people in the audience are drinking and having fun and no one is paying him any attention.
Soon after a woman walks in and attracts the attention of the entire room. The way she smiles causes one to be unable to turn his head away, calmly cool as well as gorgeous. The glamorous flame that seeps through the iciness, leads one to be unable to stop oneself from taking the risk. He hesitates and is afraid that if he extends his hand out, he will get frostbite or else instantaneously burst into flames. Ah Jie almost didn’t recognize Xiao Hong, his first love. But is this woman Xiao Hong? She seems as if she doesn’t recognize him.
On a certain day 10 years ago, Xiao Hong gets caught up in a sticky situation with a group of youngsters from the mafia. During the confusion, Ah Jie runs in and saves her. They both get onto a motorcycle and drove madly away in the middle of the night. Covered with blood and with tears falling down her face. Stopping by the side of the river, both hold on tight to each other as their passion rises in the cold wind.
“It’s hard to see each other just as it is hard to part. The east wind is weak; all sorts of flowers have withered. The silk won’t stop until the silkworm has died; The melted wax won’t dry until the candle has become ashes. Looking at the mirror at dawn, you worry about changes in your hairdo; when I chant poetry at night, I feel the chill of moonlight. From here to the Penglai mountain isn’t that far, blue bird, would you serve as my diligent messenger?”

Ah Jie remembers the classical Chinese poem that he gave to Xiao Hong many years ago. The time, the circumstances, this meeting, the situation and the feelings are exactly as described by this ancient poem.
Ah Jie follows Xiao Hong as she leaves the club. At her door, he lifts up her sleeve and discovers the scar that was left behind during the brawl with the mafia many years ago which proves that she is indeed Xiao Hong. However, Xiao Hong treats him coldly and says that she is Yvonne. "If you want to find the Xiao Hong from the past, I can clearly tell you she is already dead."
Xiao Hong opens up the past events that have been locked away inside Ah Jie’s heart for a long time. He remembers the fights, all the details, all the feelings, everything comes clearly to mind. He couldn’t accept Xiao Hong’s uncaring attitude toward forgetting about the past. Ah Jie shows up at Xiao Hong’s place again and gets discovered by Cao Lao Ban. Cao Lao Ban warns Ah Jie, whoever touches what belongs to him, he would often break that person’s finger. This is Cao Lao Ban’s bad habit.
Ah Jie disregards Cao Lao Ban’s warning and performs magic in front of everyone to show his love for Xiao Hong. Cao Lao Ban’s subordinates drag Ah Jie outside. Ah Jie gets dragged to some warehouse and Cao Lao Ban deliberately beats him up in front of Xiao Hong. Xiao Hong starts to get anxious but she still suppresses her emotions because she is afraid that she will only make matters worst for Ah Jie. But Ah Jie is unyielding and starts to hum a song after he gets tortured. Cao Lao Ban is startled to realize that Ah Jie is not an easy person to deal with. He is afraid that matters will go from bad to worst and as a result, he lets Ah Jie go and leaves. The people from Say Yes Enterprise arrive and take Ah Jie to the hospital. They secretly inform Xiao Hong and Xiao Hong secretly goes to the hospital to take care of the unconscious Ah Jie. Xiao Hong holds Ah Jie and stays awake all night. When day breaks, Xiao Hong silently leaves.
Ah Jie is determined to propose to Xiao Hong and save her from the hypocritical world she lives in right now. As a result, Ah Jie looks for help from Say Yes Enterprise to help him display three rainbows in the sky. It turns out that Ah Jie had seriously proposed to Xiao Hong in the past before. Xiao Hong jokingly said that she will accept his proposal if three rainbows appear in the sky. Ah Jie looks around for a discarded place and spent a whole night drawing three rainbows on the wall. He happily waits for the next day to propose to Xiao Hong. He arrives at Xiao Hong’s place but it turns out that she has left already and all that is left behind is the poem that Ah Jie gave to Xiao Hong many years ago.
Say Yes Enterprise starts to collect all the scientific data they can find on rainbows and also consults with a professional about the possibility of three rainbows forming at once. During this process, they all learned the philosophy of life. It seems that a rainbow can be seen only when it is behind the sunlight. If one tries to pursue the rainbow by following the ray of sunlight, it would be most difficult. Only after raining and through the reflection of the moisture in the air, can one see a rainbow clearly.
Cao Lao Ban gets involved in a credit fraud lawsuit. Besides from bribing the key person involved with a large sum of money, the same person also demanded to have Xiao Hong keep him company. Out of gratitude, Xiao Hong is willing to help Cao Lao Ban complete this business deal but deep within her heart, the true feelings that she has are no longer there. The people at Say Yes Enterprise accidentally find out about this business deal and launches into a rescue mission.
After Xiao Hong is rescued, she tells everyone about her tragic life in Taipei after her family ran away from their hometown to hide from their creditors. Because Cao Lao Ban helped her to repay all the debts, she only agreed to help Cao Lao Ban to settle his problem out of repayment. Ah Jie hears about all the misery that has felled on Xiao Hong these past 10 years and understands that Xiao Hong isn’t the type that is fascinated with the materialistic world. As a result, he decides not to force the feelings between him and Xiao Hong and respect her free will. But in the end, he still has a small request. He hopes that he will be able to let Xiao Hong see three rainbows appear in the horizon and complete the promise that he made to her many years ago.
Say Yes Enterprise agreed with Xiao Hong on a certain time and a certain place and asks that she must show up. The time arrives and everyone painstakingly waits. Xiao Hong didn’t show up and is no where to be found. It turns about that Xiao Hong couldn’t make a decision between choosing Ah Jie or Cao Lao Ban. Within this vast amount of people, she doesn’t know where to go or what to do. In the taxi, between a simple conversation with the taxi driver, Xiao Hong finally sees the truth. She will go back to where she came from.
Ah Jie madly searches for Xiao Hong and returns to their hometown after going through many other places. He finally finds Xiao Hong by the fishing harbor. Ah Jie expresses his sincerity to Xiao Hong again but Xiao Hong says that she is an unfortunate person. Happiness does not exist within her world and she doesn’t believe that she will be able to get happiness. As a result, Ah Jie says that it is because the happiness is with him and that she forgot to take it with her initially. Xiao Hong starts to waver. All of this, she is finally able to truly hold onto happiness.
In the bright, clear sky, three water columns appear out of nowhere. Within the dense, misty moisture, appears, one, two, three rainbows.
Story 3 - Love Letter:
One day, a certain small matter leads to an argument and Xiao Niao is determined to do battle with Shu. She takes out Shu’s valuable collection of Star Wars Light saber and in the living room, they both started fighting like two children. Just when things look like it would end lightheartedly, Xiao Niao brings up the topic of marriage again. The atmosphere instantly turns irritable. Shu reprimands Xiao Niao for creating a scene and being unreasonable. Xiao Niao gets mad and locks herself away in the bathroom. Shu punches the sandbag to vent out his anger and in the end, he just sits on the sofa with his eyes closed and his teeth clenched. Suddenly Xiao Niao’s finger strokes his temple and slowly stabilizes his mood. At that time, their battle has ended and the female shows her gentle and soft side.
At Xiao Niao’s college reunion, all her friends from the past have arrived, including Xiao Qi. Seeing how happy Xiao Niao and Shu are together, everyone is extremely envious especially Xiao Qi, whose boyfriend, Guan Jun, did not show up. When Xiao Niao is at the hot springs with the rest of the girls, she accidentally blurted out the lie that she and Shu will be getting married soon. After the hot springs, the girls go back to the hall and congratulate Shu. Shu becomes unhappy because of this.
Xiao Qi, Guan Jun, Xiao Niao and Shu goes to play bowling. Xiao Niao finally reveals the truth to Xiao Qi that Shu doesn’t want to get married. As a result, Xiao Qi and Guan Jun probes Shu on what his thoughts are. They find out that in Shu’s heart, he has already confirmed that Xiao Niao will be the one that he will be married to. He has planned the marriage to be a couple of years from now, when his career is more stable. Guan Jun and Xiao Niao totally agrees with Shu’s plans and turns around to tell Xiao Niao to be patient and don’t rush into things. Xiao Niao angrily follows with “who knows what the future will bring? Why is it that we have been together for 6 years but we still have to wait a few more years to get marry? What happens if I die tomorrow?”
After returning home on that day, Xiao Niao makes a pair of “Niao and Shu” cups. The table is scattered with all the materials and tools. Shu had no place to sit and eat the noodles that he cooked when he comes out. They both start arguing over something so simple again and the more they argue, the more intense the atmosphere becomes. Shu says some harsh words to Xiao Niao. He says that she is his burden and his pressure. He wants to get married but he’s not sure if he qualifies as a marriage partner in someone else’s viewpoint. What right does he have to talk about marriage? In her anger, Xiao Niao rushes out the door. After wandering around and around the streets, she finally stops at an internet café. She opens the email that Shu sent to her when he was drafted to the army and those letters are filled with love. Being drafted in the army is like entering purgatory on earth. This is not because of pain that the body will receive during this training. It is because she is not at the camp. As she reads the letter, tears start falling from her eyes and she finally thinks it through. Marriage is really not all that important. They are obviously very happy together so why should they harm their relationship by arguing over the subject of marriage and lose what they should cherish? She sends an email to Shu to tell him about this realization that she comes to and she promises to continue to walk down the road with him hand in hand.
Xiao Niao leaves the internet café and starts treading home filled with happiness about a brand new start with Shu. As she is crossing the street, she discovers that her shoelace has become untied so she bends down. A car’s headlight flashes in front of her and she looks up at this white light. After that, time stands still and the sound of a car screeching to a stop is heard. Yi Pei and Yi Long start arguing on the road about driving under the influence of alcohol. Yi Pei is forced to get out and walk home. On her way home, she sees a car accident and goes over to take a look. Xiao Niao is lying on the ground and half-conscious, she tries to open her eyes. Looking up, she sees the fuzzy and blurry face of Yi Pei. Yi Pei is worried that the driver of this car accident might be Yi Long.
Xiao Qi, who is taking a test on broadcasting, feels very uncomfortable and fidgety at the studio. At this time, breaking news comes up and it involves a car accident with the unidentified female victim being in critical condition. When the picture of the victim is released and it turns out to be Xiao Niao, Xiao Qi immediately collapses and couldn’t continue to broadcast the news. When Shu and Xiao Qi rush to the hospital, it is already too late. Inside the morgue, Xiao Niao’s parents also arrive. Seeing the body of her daughter, Xiao Niao’s mother’s emotions get out of control. She couldn’t accept the truth that her daughter is dead and blames everything on Shu.
Shu sinks into a deep depression. Standing in the room filled with their happiness and their disputes, different memories and sounds rushes out. Shu couldn’t tell whether these are his illusions or if it is real. Inside the bathroom filled with steam, Shu looks into the mirror as he cuts his hair. This action is alarming but this pain that he feels could not be eased by any medicine at all. Shu decides to follow Xiao Niao’s footsteps during the last moment of her life. He wants to personally experience the mood and the road that Xiao Niao went through on the night after she left home. He finally arrives at the site of the accident and stands there as he is choked with his tears. “What’s wrong with her wanting to get married? Why didn’t I give her what she really wanted because of some stupid plan I have? I am the murderer. The person who has pushed Xiao Niao to her death is me.”
Shu requested Say Yes Enterprise’s help on a marriage proposal because this is Xiao Niao’s wish when she was alive. He needs Say Yes Enterprise’s help to convince Xiao Niao’s parents. This shocking topic creates a fierce discussion between the members of Say Yes Enterprise. In the end, it is only Xiao Qi and Yi Pei, these two sensible females that feel that nothing is impossible. They both make their move but Xiao Niao’s parents could not accept this request. Their misunderstanding of Shu is too many and too deep and they demand that he immediately return all of Xiao Niao’s belongings. They wouldn’t even allow him to attend Xiao Niao’s wake.
When sorting out Xiao Niao’s belongings, Xiao Qi discovers Xiao Niao’s picture album. In it, there is a picture of “Niao and Shu’s Story.” Xiao Qi takes the picture with her. After sorting through Xiao Niao’s belongings, Shu turns on his computer for the first time. He sees the email that Xiao Niao sent to him before her accident. Within the letter, Xiao Niao’s will was very firm. She doesn’t need this marriage ceremony to destroy their relationship. As long as they are happy together, then everything is good. Shu understands Xiao Niao’s new view regarding marriage and he tells Say Yes Enterprise that he will not be stubborn about marriage anymore. He will not make this into a big problem for Xiao Niao’s parents. He just wants to hold a special gathering for Xiao Niao to commemorate their love.
At the gathering, Xiao Qi shows an animation created from Xiao Niao’s manuscript “Niao and Shu’s Story.” The free roaming bird and the stable tree both love each other deeply. The bird flies out to far away places to see the world every day for the sole propose of returning to tell the tree what he is not able to see. As for the tree, he works diligently every day to make sure that his branches and leaves would extend higher into the skies. This is for the sole propose that he will be able to quickly see bird’s return. And after the death of the bird, the tree absorbs her body for nutrient and works even harder to stretch his branches and leaves toward the sky. Because now, what he sees will be what she sees.
Shu has never heard this story. It turns out that Xiao Niao planned to give this story as a gift to Shu at their wedding. Shu’s tears start falling continuously and Xiao Niao’s parents quietly show up at the gathering. They also witnessed this story from the back of the room and all the misunderstanding clears up. Shu decides to continue to live even more diligently and more brave than before. Because his life no longer belongs just to himself, Xiao Niao’s spirit will always be by his side. He has to work hard to extend his branches and leaves toward the sky for her because what he sees, she will also see.
Story 4 - Graduate:
Xiao Wu is on his motorcycle on his way to the bubble tea shop to meet up with Xiao Yang and Di Yu La Mian. He accidentally hits Yi Pei and Xiao Jun who are arguing at the corner of the street. Xiao Wu gets off the car in a rush to investigate and discovers that the person who is hurt is actually his classmate, Huang Xiao Jun, whom he has lost contact with for a long time. Luckily he isn’t hurt seriously and they chatted briefly and exchange their contact information. Xiao Wu turns around to leave and discovers that his beloved motorcycle won’t start.
At the bubble tea shop, a group of guys are sitting there and watching every girl that goes by. Di Yu La Mian makes fun of Xiao Yang’s taste in girls and that he would like the type of innocent girl as Pa Pa. If he wants a girl then he should try to get one like the hot and mature girl at the next table. After Xiao Wu arrives, the three of them starts talking about facing their career paths once they get into their last year of college. The differences in their personality are revealed through their discussion. Their youthful and carefree days are on the verge of coming to an end. What would the future bring?
As usual Joy drops off plants at the well-known coffee shop. When she is helping the owner of the shop to trim some of the leaves from the plant in the front of the store, she meets Xiao Wu, whose motorcycle broke down in the middle of the road. They both get into an argument over the parking space. After their argument, Joy climbs up a ladder to continue with her trimming of the plant. Xiao Wu tries his best to get his motorcycle to work again and in the end, he has to call the repair shop to tow his motorcycle away. He turns around in a circle to find the address for the coffee shop and unexpectedly, he bumps into the ladder which Joy is standing on and causes her to fall. Xiao Wu immediately tosses the cell phone in his hands away and rushes over to grab her. During the confusion, Joy’s hair loosens from her ponytail and Xiao Wu smells this familiar rosemary fragrant that he remembers from his mom in his memory. With their previous animosity dispelled, Joy repeatedly expresses her gratitude for his help. Xiao Wu turns around to pick up his cell phone to get back in touch with the repair shop but he couldn’t take his eyes away from this woman.
Joy and her son, Xiao Yang, are resting on the balcony on the top floor. Xiao Yang is eating watermelon while beating around the bush and trying to ask questions about girls. Joy smiles knowingly and asks if there is someone that he likes. Xiao Yang shyly admits and honestly reveals that he doesn’t know how to go about wooing the girl. Joy gives it some thought and suggests that he invites his friends over to the house for dinner and also invite the girl. This way it will not be awkward and it will also allow her to see how lovable this girl is whom her son is so infatuated with. Xiao Yang excitedly tells Xiao Wu that he wants to have a birthday BBQ for Xiao Wu at his home. “Since your mother is not by your side, I’ll lend you my mother to use. It’s not a problem.” Xiao Wu resists again and again but Xiao Yang is too stubborn. Finally Xiao Yang reveals that he wants to pursue Pa Pa and asks Xiao Wu to please help him with this.
Xiao Wu receives the birthday present that his mother sent him from Hong Kong, which is a tie. Included is also a happy picture of his mother and his elder sister. Wu’s father comes in and seeing the picture, he gets angry and rips the picture to little pieces. Xiao Wu is very unhappy about this and they both get into an argument. Xiao Wu angrily leaves and in front of the convenient store, he lays out in a line a dozen can of beer. He squats by the sidewalk and starts drinking. On her way back to the flower shop with her plants, Joy sees Xiao Wu drinking on the side. As a result, she picks him up in her car. Xiao Wu once again confirms the smell of rosemary coming from Joy and he confesses his longing for his mother. Joy, therefore, gives him a rosemary plant and tells him that rosemary in flower language means to retain memories. “This way you won’t forget how your mom looks like.” Xiao Wu’s taut emotions suddenly breaks and he starts crying bitterly in front of this gentle and soft woman.
The day for the BBQ at Xiao Yang’s house arrives. Joy and the guys are busy getting the fire going while the girls are busy with cutting and washing the vegetables. Xiao Wu comes upstairs and everybody happily wishes him a happy birthday. Joy raises her head and her eyes collide with Xiao Wu’s. Both are startled and that’s how they discover each others identity. One is his best friend’s mother; the other is her son’s good friend. At the party, Di Yu La Mian plans some games and intends to get Xiao Yang and Pa Pa together. Unexpectedly, Joy and Xiao Wu are the ones that get punished at the game and kiss each other.
After the party, all that Xiao Wu has in his mind are pictures of Joy. He starts to go to Xiao Yang’s house more often and gets close to the living environment of this mature woman. One day, Xiao Wu finally gathers up his courage and invites Joy to dinner to express his gratitude for her rosemary plant. The atmosphere of their meeting this time is pleasant and they chatted very happily. Joy sighs and says wouldn’t it be good to be young again. In the past, when she feels the mood, she can just go anywhere she wants but now she doesn’t have that energy anymore. Xiao Wu suddenly gets up and pulls her out of her seat, “let’s go! Let’s go right now!” By the seaside, it is dark all around. The sky is filled with stars and the sound of the waves could be heard in the silence and an unusual feeling quietly starts to simmer between the two people.
Father Wu is startled to see the rosemary plant in Xiao Wu’s room. It reminds him of the flowers and plants that his wife used to plant. As a result, he didn’t even ask and threw away the plant. Xiao Wu is frustrated with his father again and wants to go to Joy to ask her for a new plant. At this time, the electricity in Joy’s house is cut off. In the candlelight and intimate setting, Joy and Xiao Wu make body contact. Afterwards, Joy is scared and restless. Obstructed by the differences in their age, her attitude toward Xiao Wu becomes confused and uneasy. While riding on the motorcycle one time, Xiao Wu asked her directly if she wants to be his girlfriend. Joy answers evasively and on impulsive, Xiao Wu stops the motorcycle at the crossroad of the streets. Without a care of the cars streaming around them, he tells her that if she doesn’t accept, then he won’t drive on. Faced with this formidable, firm and fearless love, Joy is so touched that she nodded her head in acceptance.
They both are not able to resist these feelings and desires that are rushing forward and they fell madly in love. Xiao Wu takes Joy and allows her to experience the young life again. He makes her pretend to be a student and goes to class and secretly shows affection on campus. Joy’s past wish of going to Japan to study fashion design starts to emerge again. Xiao Wu supports her all the way and believes people live to bravely pursue the dreams and goals that they want.
Joy also tries to let Xiao Wu into her life and officially introduces Xiao Wu as her boyfriend to the women who are the same age as her. The atmosphere is a bit awkward at the gathering. The women obviously did not know how to deal with the intrusion of this young man. As for Xiao Wu, he deliberately wears the tie that his mother gave him to play the role of a mature man. After dinner, he is clearly startled by the amount on the bill but he still firmly snatches it away to pay. Joy is able to see this all in her eyes. Yet, the thing that Joy still couldn’t face is how to go about telling her son. She couldn’t find a way and so she continues to stall. As long as Xiao Yang doesn’t know, then her relationship with Xiao Wu can still survive.
One day, they were hugging and kissing by the side of the road and Father Wu witnessed this as he is driving by in his taxi. He goes to Joy’s house and warns her not to seduce his young and ignorant son. Xiao Yang just got rejected by Pa Pa after he confessed his feelings to her the day before. He discovers that the one Pa Pa likes is Xiao Wu and is shocked. He never imagined that he would also witness this scene of Father Wu coming to their house. Xiao Yang is furious and couldn’t control his anger. During a ball game, Xiao Yang manages to trip Xiao Wu. Xiao Wu is annoyed at Xiao Yang’s antics and they both started fighting on the basketball court. As for Pa Pa, she overhears the fact that Xiao Wu and Xiao Yang’s mother are in a relationship on the side of the court.
Xiao Yang stops talking to Joy and Joy is hurt. She finally makes a decision to break up with Xiao Wu and not see him again. Xiao Wu goes to Say Yes Enterprise and asks for Xiao Jun’s help. Everyone at Say Yes Enterprise agrees that age has nothing to do with love and therefore, decides to accept this case. However, Bai Hu opposes to this and after Guan Jun carefully investigates, he finds out that the woman, whom Bai Hu is seriously pursuing recently, turns out to be Joy.
Pa Pa couldn’t accept the fact that after trying so hard all this time, Xiao Wu would still not accept her. As a result, she dresses maturely and goes to find Xiao Wu. During their conversation, she intensely expresses her love but Xiao Wu still insists on rejecting her. Pa Pa is choked with tears as her heart breaks into pieces. From his father, his good friend, and the girl that likes him, Xiao Wu sees such intense opposition and resilience against his relationship with Joy and he feels very depressed. He just fell in love with a person, why couldn’t this world accept that? He doesn’t understand at all.
Faced with all these difficulties, Say Yes Enterprise focuses on each person’s direct problem and starts to solve each and every one of them. In the end, they arranged to send Joy and Xiao Wu away from this place and just the two of them going off on a vacation and don’t think about anything. They should spend this time to listen to what their hearts are telling them. During this trip, Xiao Wu must figure out the feelings that he has for Joy are out of longing for his mother or if it is really love. As for Joy, she must choose between love and her unfilled dream.

Story 5 - Fatal Attraction:
A father and son argument erupts between Guan Jun and Bai Hu. Bai Hu couldn’t understand Guan Jun’s betrayal from the previous case that Say Yes Enterprise took on. He expresses that if they are not able to treat each other with honesty, then they would not be able to work together. In his anger, he announces that he will leave Say Yes Enterprise and look for another job.
Li Zhi takes the initiative to drop by Say Yes Enterprise and request their assistance to help the relationship between her and her lover. She explains that she and Zhen Yu, who is married, have been in a relationship for a long time. However, his wife, Meng Hua refuses to sign the divorce paper because she is greedy and desires Zhen Yu's fortune. This result in Li Zhi being labeled and accused of being the third party in this affair and living in pain and sorrow. The gentle and emotional Li Zhi tells the story of how she and Zhen Yu met and fell in love. They both got acquainted during a certain conference. Zhen Yu fell in love with Li Zhi at first sight and took the initiative to pursue her. Their love blossomed due to their spiritual contact and understanding of each other, which brought forth the idea to be with each other for the rest of their lives. However, it can't be helped that Meng Hua just won't let go. It's obvious that she and Zhen Yu don't act as husband and wife anymore, yet she is unwilling to give up. With Li Zhi's helpless and genuine tone, along with her tears that falls continuously, she wins the sympathy of everyone.
However, Zhen Yu and Meng Hua are legitimately husband and wife after all and Say Yes Enterprise falls into a moral dilemma with this decision. They are not sure if they should accept this case or not. After a fierce debate, they decided to first investigate Zhen Yu and Meng Hua’s relationship with each other and see if their relationship is really as that described by Li Zhi. After that, Say Yes Enterprise will evaluate the possibility of accepting this case or not.
Guan Jun secretly goes to Zhen Yu’s company to work as his assistant. Working overtime one night, Zhen Yu drank had one too many cups to drink. His personality changes from his usual strict and cautious self and he boldly speaks about the pain he went through trying to get his education. From this, Guan Jun finds out about Zhen Yu and his wife’s mutual support for one another in the past. They were deeply in love with each other and Guan Jun gets the impression of the graciousness that Meng Hua has for Zhen Yu. When they are leaving the office, the security guard unintentionally sighs. Guan Jun listens and finds out that Zhen Yu only started working late every night and becoming a workaholic after the death of his son.
On the other hand, Xiao Qi uses the excuse of interviewing the woman behind the successful man to get close to Meng Hua. During her interview process, she discovers a cold and empty child’s room. Xiao Qi tries to probe further, but Meng Hua insists that they don’t have any children. Xiao Qi’s suspicion and curiosity grows.
After the interview ended, Meng Hua sits in the child’s room all by herself. The sound of a child’s voice rushes forward and couldn’t be ignored. The painful memories, the collapse of tears and Zhen Yu’s severe criticism is a wound that will never heal. After Zhen Yu returns home, Meng Hua immediately controls her emotions and puts on a cold and indifferent face. The temperature between them is below the freezing point. Zhen Yu finds out about the interview and becomes unhappy. Without even asking her about the details, he tells her to cancel the interview.
Meng Hua calls Xiao Qi at the news department and requests to cancel the broadcast of their interview. The chief overhears the matter about Xiao Qi using her status as a reporter to secretly carry out an interview and is therefore facing the possibility of being terminated from her job. Xiao Qi turns to Guan Jun for comfort but Guan Jun is too busy with his assistant job to give her any time. Xiao Qi is depressed and turns to Yi Long for comfort. Yi Long’s considerate and attentive nature gives Xiao Qi tremendous reassurance. Xiao Qi doesn’t understand why such a good man could have such a rough time on the road of love. This concern will plant the seed for their feelings to sprout in the future.
Yi Pei is not happy with the fact that Xiao Qi has joined Say Yes Enterprise. In her boredom, she decides to repair the relationship between Bai Hu and Guan Jun and convince Bai Hu to come back. However, Bai Hu is really firm with his decision this time. Not only did he swear that he will not return to Say Yes Enterprise to help his son make money, he also angrily proposes that he will be setting up his own company to go against them. He will start a company to help people with divorces nearby Say Yes Enterprise’s office. Divorce Enterprise’s advertisement car stops in front of Say Yes Enterprise’s office every day to loudly advertise their services. This is all in an attempt to harass their enemy’s morale.
Say Yes Enterprise evaluates the case again. In the end, they decided that they will not be meddling in this difficult relationship and turns down Li Zhi request. During the conversation, Li Zhi finds out that Zhen Yu and Meng Hua has experienced the pain of losing a son before. She secretly plans in her heart to use this piece of information. As a result, she goes over to Divorce Enterprise which Bai Hu established and lies to them that she is pregnant. Bai Hu is happy that there is hope in his first case. Using the child in the belly as his trump card, how can the other party not get a divorce?
Guan Jun honestly tells Zhen Yu the motive behind his reason to come and work as his assistant and proposes to resign from the job. He sees Bai Hu and Li Zhi coming to see Zhen Yu and so he quickly turns away. Using Li Zhi’s pregnancy as a reason, Bai Hu demands that Zhen Yu give them a reasonable explanation within the allotted deadline while Li Zhi cries loudly on the side. She keeps on saying that she is not after any benefits, has no intention of destroying Zhen Yu’s family, and only wants to give her child a chance to grow up under the loving care of both parents.
Trapped in a difficult position, Zhen Yu tells Guan Jun the process of how he and Li Zhi met. His description of their acquaintance turns out to be vastly different from what Li Zhi has stated a while ago at Say Yes Enterprise just like two different plays. Indeed, they both did meet at a conference but it was Li Zhi who took the initiative to get close to Zhen Yu. She also pretended to have anemia and suddenly fainted. Zhen Yu has no choice but to take her home. Later, under Li Zhi’s probing, he unintentionally told her about him and his wife’s desolate relationship. Turning into a depressed mood, he drank an extra couple glasses of alcohol. Li Zhi tried her best to seduce him and not being able to resist her, they both got into bed together.
After Guan Jun listens to the story, he starts getting suspicious of Li Zhi’s personality and intention. As a result, he privately goes to Bai Hu and tries to persuade him to refuse this suspicious case. Bai Hu thinks that Guan Jun doesn’t want him to succeed and is intentionally creating all these stories. Father and son get into a more and more intense argument.
On the other, Yi Pei goes to the salon where Li Zhi works at with the gift certificate that Yi Long has given her. She accidentally bumps into Li Zhi throwing a fit because a customer spoke badly about her. Compared with her gentle and soft appearance before, she appears to be two entirely different people. Li Zhi not only angrily reprimands the customer for treating her like a servant, but she also loudly announces that she will soon be married into a rich family, become a rich man’s wife and taking control of an important enterprise. From this, Yi Pei sees Li Zhi’s true colors and discovers her malicious intentions. At the same time, she overhears Li Zhi asking her colleague for feminine napkins and finds out the secret of her lying about being pregnant.
Li Zhi is fired from her job at the salon and feeling extremely insecure, she urges Bai Hu to put the next step of their plan in motion. Although Bai Hu advises her to be patient, but the impatient Li Zhi goes to find Meng Hua and causes a big scene. Her true colors are finally revealed and she claims that she and Zhen Yu’s relationship are stable and that she is pregnant. Meng Hua believes Li Zhi’s lies and is deeply hurt. She takes the initiative to propose getting a divorce to Zhen Yu and Zhen Yu accepts without a word.
Zhen Yu informs Li Zhi to prepare for a wedding and Li Zhi forgets herself with her happiness of finally achieving her goal. Because Yi Pei saw Li Zhi’s true colors at the spa salon, she attempts to warn Bai Hu. Bai Hu doesn’t believe that the gentle and soft Li Zhi would have such a malicious side to her. However, Li Zhi shows up at this time to show off her power. Not only did she taunt and ridicule Bai Hu for his incompetence, but she also insists on not paying him one dime. Bai Hu now knows that not only was he deceived but he has also wrongly accused Guan Jun. Yi Pei takes this opportunity to persuade Bai Hu to reconcile with Guan Jun and work together to save Meng Hua and Zhen Yu’s marriage.
Yi Pei goes to the orphanage where Meng Hua volunteers at and incidentally runs into a child who was in danger of falling down from a high place. This accident triggers Meng Hua’s memories on the truth of her son’s death. It turns out that it was not Meng Hua’s negligence that caused the death of her son. It was the thief that was trying to steal the gift that Meng Hua bought for Zhen Yu for their wedding anniversary that caused the accident. Meng Hua says that she quickly turned around to try to chase after the thief, but when the thief was running away, he bumped into the baby carriage and that’s how the tragedy of her son falling down the escalator came about.
Li Zhi arrogantly returns to the spa salon to announce the news of her marriage and acts like a rich woman calling out to her former colleagues. At the same time, Say Yes Enterprise tells Zhen Yu the truth of what happened many years ago and helps to clear up the many years of misunderstanding. Zhen Yu regrets the suffering that husband and wife have been through these past years due to this misunderstanding and he wants to fix their relationship again. As a result, he gives a sincere apology to Li Zhi and says that he will take the responsibility of taking care of the child, but it would be impossible for him to marry her.
Not being able to accept the cancellation of the wedding, Li Zhi puts on the act of killing herself by taking an overdose of medication to try to get Zhen Yu back but unexpectedly gets sent to the hospital instead. The members of Say Yes Enterprise and Zhen Yu rushes to the hospital and Zhen Yu anxiously ask if the baby is safe. It is revealed that Li Zhi lied about her pregnancy. Li Zhi collapses and reveals all her bitterness. Due to her many past bitter experiences, it leads her to the conclusion that even if one tries her best; she would not be able to succeed. She only finds a shortcut to becoming successful so where’s the wrong in that? Seeing Li Zhi’s misery, Zhen Yu decides to hire Li Zhi as his assistant to give her another chance.
Their wedding anniversary day is also the day of their son’s death anniversary. As Meng Hua is stepping up to the grave, she hears the voice of her son wishing her and her husband a happy anniversary. It turns out that this was the present that Zhen Yu wanted to give to Meng Hua many years ago. Yet after the accident, he couldn’t bring himself to give it to her. They both cry and hug each other in front of their son’s grave. The sound of their son wishing them a happy marriage seems to urge them to get married once again.
Story 6 - Kramer vs. Kramer:
Li Ai Ling just finished a year of working aboard and returns to the county to attend a party being held by her friends from the old days. During the party, her friend’s boyfriend says that he has a friend who is a great match with Ai Ling and keeps on urging Ai Ling to accept to meet with his friend. As for Yi Long, after Zhen Yu and Meng Hua’s marriage ceremony ended, he sees someone who looks like his ex-wife, Ai Ling, in the hallway of the hotel. However, this person disappeared very quickly and Yi Long believes that he was just seeing things. After that, he gets a call from a client wanting to introduce him to someone and inviting him to dinner and without asking for more details, Yi Long accepts the invitation.
Yi Long returns home and finds the house in a complete mess like a thief has rummage through it. He only sees Wei Wei laying out on the sofa and snoring away and Yi Long feels a headache coming on. It turns out that Yi Long’s parents are on vacation and sends granddaughter, Wei Wei, back to Yi Long to watch over. Yi Long has no choice but to take his mischievous daughter with him to the dinner. En route to the matchmaking dinner, Wei Wei is extremely unhappy that Yi Long is meeting a woman for dinner. Even though Yi Long keeps on explaining that he is just doing this to appease a friend, but Wei Wei is still trying to everything she can to ruin this dinner. It’s really amazing how Wei Wei is always able to make Li Yi Long become submissive and beg for mercy.
Disaster falls at the matchmaking dinner. Unexpectedly, the male and female each bring a child and come face to face with each other. The twins are extremely excited about seeing each other and their parents, whom they have not seen for a long time. Yet, Mr. and Mrs. Li acts very cold and throws sarcastic comments toward each other. The young ones are having a great time while the older ones are feeling awkward and trying to get the other person to leave. Yi Long criticizes Ai Ling for not telling anyone that she has returned to Taiwan. They get into an argument and parted on bad terms causing the two children to be forced to separate. Yi Long returns home and faces Wei Wei’s whining. She reprimands him and her mother for being childish and as for Ai Ling’s side, she is also getting reprimanded by Qiang Qiang. Ai Ling sighs and says that this child is equally as unreasonable as her father.
You will mostly see the person whom you don’t want to see. While having dinner with Xiao Qi, Yi Long bumps into Ai Ling having dinner with a male friend. They are both startled to see the other person on a date with the opposite gender. Feeling jealous, both started jumping into a competitive mood. Both are not willing to show their weakness and each one is trying to be better than the other. Qiang Qiang and Wei Wei take this opportunity to exchange their identities and switch their clothing and shoes in the bathroom.
Wei Wei and Qiang Qiang both get the happy feeling of togetherness from the other parent whom they have not seen in a long time. However, because of the differences in their personalities, their scheme was quickly discovered by their parents. Yet, due to this rare chance of being together, Yi Long and Qiang Qiang had a great time talking with each other. Qiang Qiang is happy that her father is so well educated and can answer all her questions. Not at all like her mother who is impatient and would quickly get into a hot temper. As for Ai Ling and Wei Wei, they are both like big kids. Not knowing what to do with the facet that exploded and with water splashing out, they both had a great time playing in it. Wei Wei is happy that her mother is so lenient and unrestrained and not at all like her father, who would just criticize and is no fun at all.
While Ai Ling is out buying alcohol, Wei Wei runs over to Yi Long’s place to find Qiang Qiang to discuss the plan of getting their parents back together again. Wei Wei mentions that Yi Long established a company call Say Yes Enterprise which seems to specialize in helping people get married. Qiang Qiang believes that this is a sign from heaven and decides to ask Say Yes Enterprise to get their parents back together again. Talking and talking, the two children finally fall asleep. Yi Long and Yi Pei later discover this happy picture. In his heart, Yi Long doesn’t want to separate the twins again but being afraid that Ai Ling would worry about the child, he could only try to bear the pain while he sends one of the children back.
Yi Long carries Qiang Qiang back to Ai Ling’s house. He rings the doorbell but no one answers. Yi Long didn’t want to wake up Qiang Qiang and so holding her, he sits down and waits painstakingly in front of the door until he also falls asleep. A drunken Ai Ling returns home and seeing this scene in front of her, she couldn’t help but start crying. Yi Long wakes up and their eyes connect with many unspoken words between them. Entering the house and after putting Qiang Qiang away in bed, Yi Long couldn’t help but ask. “Being a mother, you go out and have fun after putting your child down, what kind of mother is that?” Ai Ling didn’t like being blamed and refutes with strong words. They both get back on bad terms again.
The twins arrive at Say Yes Enterprise to ask for help. They chatted happily with Guan Jun and he decides to accept this case. Say Yes Enterprise makes a plan to lock Yi Long and Ai Ling inside a van together so that they will be all alone. Guan Jun and Yi Pei takes the children to Guan Jun’s house to play. Guan Jun is feeling a bit depressed because Xiao Qi had previously indicated to him that she has feelings for Yi Long. Seeing Yi Pei and the two girls playing, he starts to have a special feeling.
Yi Long and Ai Ling are locked inside a van. At first, they are getting along fine but as time goes on, they start arguing over every little small thing. Seeing how these two are always quarreling with each other, Guan Jun is dejected and is not sure how to make Qiang Qiang and Wei Wei’s wish come true and at the same time, prevent the possibility of Xiao Qi and Yi Long’s relationship from developing further.
Qiang Qiang and Wei Wei don’t give up on the plan to get their parents back together again. They both meet on the street and try to come up with a better plan. Finally Qiang Qiang comes with an idea. They will both hide in Guan Jun’s house and pull a missing act and use that to force their parents back together again. In order to look for their missing children, Yi Long and Ai Ling get the opportunity to be together. Faced with the disaster of losing their children, they both seem to be getting along very well. They start to remember all their happy moments together in the past. Under extreme worrying, they both put down their defensive and competitive nature and expose their weakness in front of the other without any restraints.
Guan Jun accidentally discovers Qiang Qiang and Wei Wei who are hiding out in his house. Although in the beginning, Qiang Qiang attempts to convince Guan Jun into supporting their plan but Guan Jun insists on sending them home so that their parents will stop worrying. In their anxiousness, Qiang Qiang and Wei Wei decide to come up with another plan. They lie and tell Guan Jun that as long as he plays hide and seek with them, then they will agree to go home. Guan Jun agrees to their request. However, when he wasn’t paying attention, Qiang Qiang and Wei Wei managed to bind his eyes and tie him up. Yi Pei couldn’t find Guan Jun and suspects that this is a continuous kidnapping case and she starts getting anxious.
This kidnapping case gets solved by Bai Hu in the end. Qiang Qiang and Wei Wei each gets taken back home. Even though Yi Long and Ai Ling scold the children for their behavior, yet they both understand that nothing can replace the happiness of having a family reunited together. Actually, Yi Long and Ai Ling both have thought about getting back together but they are both too strong willed and each is not willing to open their mouth first.
After Guan Jun is found and released, Yi Pei loses her composure and bursts out crying. Guan Jun smiles and comforts this silly woman. On the side, Xiao Qi is startled to find out that she didn’t know Yi Pei cares about Guan Jun so much. She starts to measure everything that is between her and Guan Jun again and decides that compared to her, Yi Pei is even more suitable for Guan Jun.
Yi Long and Ai Ling finally gather up their courage and make an appointment to meet up. They both decide that they will confess all regardless of the consequences. However, something wrong happened along the way and they both ended up waiting for each other at different places. They both thought that the other party was not going to show up. Both were disappointed and have totally given up on the other person. On their way home with the children, they both bump into each other on the streets.

Story 7 - You Are My Bride In This Life:
Previously, Xiao Qi and Yi Long’s feelings started growing for each other after always being together and this causes Xiao Qi and Guan Jun’s stable relationship of many years to be placed under a severe test. Xiao Qi had once honestly confessed her feelings for Yi Long to Guan Jun. Guan Jun is hurt and the pain in his heart could only be poured out to Yi Pei, who has always been by his side. Yi Pei continues to be warm and considerate and she is Guan Jun’s lifesaver during his weak times. One night, Guan Jun couldn’t help himself and kisses Yi Pei.
Yi Long and Ai Ling’s getting back together is a blow to Xiao Qi. She is aware that she owes Guan Jun for the pain that she has caused him and she knows that what she has done for Guan Jun couldn’t be compared to what Yi Pei has done for him. As a result, she decides to break up with Guan Jun. Even though Guan Jun didn’t want to break up but when he thinks back to last night’s kiss with Yi Pei, he feels responsible towards her given that she has waited so long for him. Therefore, he comes to a consensus with Xiao Qi and ended this relationship of more than 3 years in a painful but peaceful conversation.
Guan Jun and Yi Pei starts to date officially. Yi Pei is happy that her long awaited wish has finally come true and she couldn’t hide her excitement. Each and every minute of being together with Guan Jun is a feeling of satisfaction for having her dream come true. Every day, Yi Pei energetically plans her date with Guan Jun. She carefully looks over everything that she purchases and dresses herself very much like a woman in love. Everyone sees this, including Xiao Jun, who has always had a crush on her.
Stepping into Guan Jun’s life, Yi Pei happily takes care of everything for him.
