Eighteen years old, Xiao Min is a new college student who loves to dream
up of strange and unusual illusions. Going to Taipei to study, Xiao Min can
finally escape from the high school uniform and move away from her
mother's control. Her biggest wish right now is: To have lots of
cute/handsome guys surrounding her, everybody treat her nicely, and
chase after her! Xiao Min's dream seems to be courageous and romantic,
but the lively and cute Xiao Min, is just a young girl who has never
experienced a taste love or had a boyfriend before.
Xiao Min has a father, Fan Jia Da, who is traveling
around all year round. Jia Da is a well-known author on problems between
the genders. Mother, Fang Kui Zhen, is a well known Junior High School
principal, who loves her daughter. However Jia Da's marriage with Kui Zhen
is on the rocky side. But Kui Zhen still strongly hides the truth from
Xiao Min and Xiao Min's older sister, Xiao Qian.
Xiao Qian is already married and lives with her
husband, Xu Qiang, in Taipei. Ever since Xiao Min arrived in the north to
study, both Xiao Qian and Xu Qiang are very caring towards her but their
marriage has some serious problems. Xu Qiang is always very caring and
obeying his wife, but not only does Xiao Qian take it for granted but she
would also make all sorts of difficult requests. Under the condition of
not being able to communicate with his wife, their marriage which looks
sweet and happy on the surface is actually in fact becoming Xu Qiang's own
pain. Not only does Xu Qiang endure bittersweet pain, but Xiao Qian is
still not satisfied with Xu Qiang's performance and constantly throws her
temper.
When Xiao Min got into college, Kui Zhen rented the
apartment to two other people. Xiao Min was forced to live with them both.
One is Lin Wen Jing and the other is Cheng En En. From the beginning, Xiao
Min thinks that Wen Jing is boorish and silly and En En is tyrannical and
hard to reason with. But Xiao Min found out that Wen Jing is actually kind
and En En refreshing and righteous. The three of them quickly became good
friends.
En En is a girl that dares to love and hate and dated
100 guys. The shy faced Wen Jing reveals that she only has her first love,
He Zhi Ming. Both of their experiences irks the boyfriend-less Xiao Min.
Xiao Min's seniors in school, Huang Yao Guo and Gao
Ying Wei, both perceive different images of Xiao Min's straight character.
Yao Guo deeply appreciates Xiao Min's kindness and boldness and does all
he can to chase after her. Ying Wei thinks that Xiao Min is too
troublesome and difficult and he constantly urges Yao Guo to give up. But
Yao Guo still keeps on with his chase of Xiao Min.
Even though Xiao Min has illusions toward love, but
towards Yao Guo's constant pursuit she actually feels annoyance. En En
advises Xiao Min to lie to Yao Guo and then not show up for a date. But
who could imagine that Yao Guo would stand in the pouring rain waiting for
Xiao Ming. Feeling guilty, Xiao Min agrees to become friends with Yao Guo.
She accepts all the small crystal dogs that he gives her and only agrees
to just being friends with Yao Guo.
Xiao Qian doesn't understand what Xu Qiang is thinking
at all. During one of their small fights, Xiao Qian uses divorce as a way
to intimidate Xu Qiang. She couldn't imagine that Xu Qiang agrees rather
quickly to it and the two of them goes down the road toward divorce. This
makes Xiao Min have different thoughts toward marriage and love.
Wen Jing's boyfriend, Zhi Ming is a very arrogant,
egotistic person. He makes many requests of Wen Jing and constantly has a
suspicious nature. En En and Xiao Min urges Wen Jing not to accept this
kind of behavior from Zhi Ming. Wen Jing tries to talk to Zhi Ming, but
Zhi Ming thinks that Xiao Min and En En are bad influences for Wen Jing
and he breaks up with her. Wen Jing becomes very depressed and cries until
she loses her voice. Xiao Min and En En doesn't know what to do in order
to get them back together. Yao Guo and Ying Wei, being the good friends
that they are, decides to help Wen Jing.
Toward guys, En En has this type of playing around
attitude. She doesn't trust guys and revolves between different guys all
the time. But in actuality it's all because she refuses to believe that
there would be one guy that would truly love her.
Xiao Min's parent's marriage problems slowly starts to
surface to the top. How ironic that being a well-known author on problems
between genders and Fan Jia Da's marriage would actually surface problems.
Moreover, he has also had an affair early on. Even though Jia Da wants to
have a divorce with Kui Zhen but Kui Zhen is a perfect picture of a
righteous person. Husband and wife's relationship has split apart for so
long and even their two daughters don't know about it. In front of Xiao
Min and Xiao Qian, they pretend they are a loving couple, but even a
pretense would be discovered one day...
