Forced to the end of her ropes, Shan Mei is sitting at her newly rented place and staring at her boyfriend’s picture when her new and insensitive roommate keeps on knocking on her door.  An angry Shan Mei opens the door and finds out that her new roommate is none other than the bathroom pervert… Frank.  At the same time, Frank is stunned to find that the one standing before him is the Zeng Shan Mei who took off with his mother’s ring.  The two of them starts to argue and Shan Mei finally understands the reason why Frank was chasing after her before – ring!

Following the address on the lease, they both go looking for the landlord.  From the address, they arrive at the police station and only then did they find out that the so-called landlord that they are looking for is a swindler who goes around finding empty houses and then renting it out to people.  A furious Frank wants Shan Mei to take all the responsibility.  Even though Shan Mei knows that she is in the wrong but she refuses to show any weakness.  She promises that she will pay Frank back bit by bit after she finds a job.

On a certain day, Frank accidentally finds out that the wealthy Wan Ye still couldn’t get over the pain of losing his deceased wife.  The coincident thing is that when Wan Ye’s wife was young, she looks extremely like Shan Mei.  Frank immediately grabs this opportunity to arrange for Shan Mei and Wan Ye to meet.  Frank even explains to Shan Mei and tells her to pretend to have dinner with a pitiful old man.  Shan Mei doesn’t understand when a jerk like Frank would suddenly have sympathy for someone else.  Frank did not mention his deal with Wan Ye.  In order to get Shan Mei out to this dinner with Wan Ye, Frank had swindled some money out of him.  When Shan Mei questions Frank’s motives, he puts on an indifferent face and tells Shan Mei that as long as she is willing to go to this dinner, he will forget the incident with the ring.  Shan Mei doesn’t give it much thought and nods her head in agreement.

Arriving at the restaurant, Shan Mei has no idea who Wan Ye is.  When Wan Ye is hugging her tightly, Shan Mei uses the excuse of going to the restroom to calm her emotions…  On the other hand, Frank is on his way to the loan sharks with the money that he got from Wan Ye to repay his debt.  At first, he had thought that he didn’t care what would happen between Shan Mei and Wan Ye during dinner but having received Wan Ye’s money, Frank starts to worry if maybe Wan Ye is harboring some evil intentions.  As a result, Frank rushes over to the restaurant and secretly sneaks Shan Mei out the back door.  Shan Mei has no idea what is going on.  Aside from saying that Wan Ye is a pervert, Frank did not say much of anything else.  Shan Mei questions why he set up this dinner?  Frank refuses to answer and so they are on bad terms again.

Actually before going to the restaurant, Frank had returned the money that Wan Ye gave him to Wan Ye’s butler.  Frank doesn’t know Wan Ye’s identity and even go as far as calling the police to the restaurant and getting Wan Ye arrested and courted off to the police station.  However, Wan Ye, who has only briefly met Shan Mei, not only did not have any bad feelings toward Frank for what he did but Wan Ye even arranges for the butler to go to the loan sharks and pay off Frank’s debts.

Frank’s good friend, Huang Wen Xing is an honest person and incidentally he sees Shan Mei’s good friend, Huang Ling Long, who works as a sales cashier at the department store.  From then on, Ah Xing has become deeply infatuated by her, but Frank doesn’t approve of Ah Xing’s crush on Ling Long.

One night, Shan Mei’s cell phone starts ringing and it is the ringtone that she has especially set aside for Jing Rong.  Shan Mei rushes to get the phone but she and Frank got into a huge argument and her phone falls to the ground and breaks apart.  An anxious Shan Mei takes the phone and rushes to the phone repair store to have it fixed.  Unexpectedly, she bumps into her good friend, Ling Long.  After Ling Long questions Shan Mei on everything that she has encountered, aside from sympathy, she even actively encourages Shan Mei.  She tells Shan Mei that she can’t give up her life just because she was dumped by Jing Rong.  In the end, Ling Long wants Shan Mei to go to the night club with her.  Perhaps she can meet a good guy and her life will be different.  However, an unfortunate thing happened… Shan Mei bumps into Frank at the night club…

Episode 3:

At the night club, Frank is happy to be hanging in his usual spot and using his imaginary family background, he wins many favors from the ladies.  As for Shan Mei, who is sitting aside, she is being picked up by a guy.  Fortunately, Frank shows up to drive the drunken guy away.  When Shan Mei tries to leave first, she bumps into her old colleagues, Ah Zhu and Ah Hua from the bank at the door.  When she is at a lost of what to do, Frank unexpectedly pretends that he has snatched Shan Mei from her boyfriend.  What’s even more, Frank and Shan Mei have even gotten engaged.  Although it has solved the problem that she has on hand, but Shan Mei did not appreciate Frank’s kindness at all.  When they are both in a heated argument, Shan Mei’s cell phone coincidentally starts ringing.  It turns out to be Jing Rong calling.  Frank, who is angry, grabs the phone and throws it onto the floor.  He even scolds Shan Mei: “Crying over a man who doesn’t love you is the most useless thing to do!”  A heartbroken Shan Mei sobs widely and yells at Frank for not understanding her feelings of lost.  Frank is angry but he reveals his true feelings and tells her that he has been without a parent since he was a child.  So how can he not know what the feeling of lost is all about?  If losing means to give up your life and not continue living, then he would have been dead hundreds of times already!

A cool night breeze blows as Shan Mei walks along the streets all by herself.  She remembers that the fortune teller had told her that she will enjoy the good times when the bad times are over in her future.  Although the future is still out of her grasp now, but when she thinks back to how much she has sacrificed over the years and then think back to the words that Frank had said, the optimistic Shan Mei’s mood seems to have calmed down somewhat.  It seems that she can really leave her wounded heart behind.

Although Frank’s occasional kindness seems to have helped Shan Mei but his personality is still hard to change.  He takes advantage of the time when he is supposed to be at work to go to sing karaoke.  Not only did he not pay the bill but he even pushes it off to Shan Mei causing Shan Mei to be taken to the police station.  Although, the police are able to help solve the money part of the problem in the end but after returning home, Shan Mei and Frank both confront each other.  Frank truthfully acknowledges that it was a trick that he played on Shan Mei and in her anger, Shan Mei packs up her bag and leaves.  At the dark of night when all is quiet, Frank couldn’t help but feel guilty.  He finds Shan Mei in the park and convinces her to return home.

Although there is temporarily nothing going on between the two of them, but Frank is still worried that Shan Mei would not have any money to repay the debt.  In the end, he drags Shan Mei along to Ah Xing’s cleaning company to work there temporarily and earn money.  On the day when he and Shan Mei are going to a mansion to do work, they broke an extremely expensive antique vase…

The moment when the antique vase was falling to the ground, Frank and Shan Mei both extended their hands to try to catch it, but because their hands accidentally touched, they both panicked and the vase broke into pieces after it crashed to the ground.  Before this happened, Ah Xing had specially pointed out this expensive vase and told Frank over and over again to be careful.  As if hearing Ah Xing’s voice in his ear, Frank can only stare blankly at the broken pieces of vase on the ground.  A strong premonition rises within his heart.  This ugly vase is now broken so this means that the rest of his life is ruined!

Of course, Shan Mei, who is at the scene of the crime, is also frightened speechless.  She doesn’t know what to do and they both get into an argument on whose fault it is.  In the end, they both come to a consensus that they will have to face the problem together!

After tossing and turning all night long, Shan Mei regains her reasoning.  She knows that the only thing she can do right now is to hurry up and find a job to earn some money.  On the other hand, afraid of pulling Ah Xing into this mess, Frank and Ah Xing goes to the secretary who helps manage the mansion for the owner to apologize.  Who would have thought that the secretary would tell them that the vase is fake.

Frank is overjoyed after hearing this news.  At first, he was going to tell Shan Mei this good news when he gets home but Shan Mei starts yelling at him for not working diligently the minute he walks through the door.  In this anger, Frank did not tell Shan Mei the truth about the vase…

Episode 4:

Afraid of getting Ah Xing in trouble, Frank goes to Secretary Cui, who manages the mansion, to apologize.  Who would have thought that the expensive Ming Dynasty vase is actually a fake.  At first, Frank was going to tell Shan Mei this good news but unexpectedly, Shan Mei thought that the vase costs 5 million dollars…

She doesn’t know how many years she will have to spend to repay the price of the antique vase, but Shan Mei believes that her hands can do anything.  As long as she works diligently, she will be able to earn money doing any type of work.  Each day, Shan Mei would put on a costume carrying a big sun on her head and hand fliers out on the street.  One day, she bumps into her nephew, Xiao Bei, who is in elementary school, being bullied by some older students at the end of an alley.  Wearing her costume, Shan Mei jumps down from the sky and took care of the bullies for Xiao Bei.  Who knew that this is a trap set up by Xiao Bei to confirm that the person underneath the costume is his Aunt who was supposed to have left for Hang Zhou…  An experienced Xiao Bei blackmails his own aunt and orders Shan Mei to continue to give him allowance money like she used to do.  Otherwise, he would return home and expose to the family that she has already came back.  Shan Mei has no choice but to adhere to Xiao Bei’s threats.  She would often bribe Xiao Bei with good food and nice clothing while she dresses poorly and starves herself until her stomach hurts…

One day, an exhausted Shan Mei bumps into Secretary Cui coming to the garage to buy a car from Frank.  Shan Mei mistakes Secretary Cui for coming to ask for money for the vase and in his haste, Frank uses a brick to injure himself in hopes of covering up the truth about the fake vase.  Unexpectedly, Shan Mei believes it all to be true and starts to take care of the wounded Frank.  Seeing how Shan Mei is so easy to deceive, Frank deliberately says that he is hungry and wants to eat something.  He names six menus but Xiao Bei just took all the money from Shan Mei and so she doesn’t have any money to buy anything for Frank to eat.  As she walks around, she is worrying over where to get food.  She catches a glimpse of the blood donation center at the hospital and Shan Mei suddenly gets an inspiration to donate blood for bread and milk.

Ke Na, a kind volunteer worker at the blood donation center, sees that Shan Mei really wants an extra serving of bread and so she gives it to Shan Mei.  Taking the bread and milk home, Shan Mei was harshly scolded by Frank and he starts to treat her like a servant after that…

On the other hand, Ah Xing, after being rejected by Ling Long whom he has a crush on, is on the verge of trying to nurse his wounded heart.  Unexpectedly, Ling Long would actually show up in front of him one day.  In her soft-spoken voice with a tender womanly look, Ling Long invites Ah Xing out to dinner.  Ah Xing is ecstatic and naively thinks that Ling Long is willing to give him a chance to go out with her.  When he shows up, he finds out that Ling Long has another reason for inviting him out to dinner.  Ling Long, who wants to marry into a wealthy family, knows that the only son of her company’s CEO, Jin En Hao, has returned to the country.  She doesn’t know when he would go into the company to work and so she doesn’t have a chance of getting close to him.  However, she accidentally finds out from Shan Mei that Frank and Ah Xing regularly goes to En Hao’s mansion to do jobs and so she wants Ah Xing to help her keep an eye out on En Hao’s schedule and disclose his whereabouts to her.  However, Ah Xing’s refusal makes Ling Long angry.  In her anger, she makes it clear that she can’t even be friends with Ah Xing and tells him not to show up in front of her from now on.

With a long face, Ah Xing comes looking for Frank.  Having been working day after day, Shan Mei has a really ashen look on her face and a concerned Ah Xing asks Shan Mei why she doesn’t look so good.  Shan Mei says that she has been working multiple jobs lately and the topic of their conversation switches over to the vase.  Frank tries to stop them several times and in the end, Ah Xing accidentally reveals that they only need to pay 5 million dollars for the fake vase.  When Shan Mei hears that the expensive vase is only a fake vase, she gets extremely furious.  Frank doesn’t know how to get out of this and being a smart-ass, he tries to cast the blame away from himself.  In her anger, Shan Mei runs out the door and faints.

Frank and Ah Xing frantically take Shan Mei to the hospital.  From Ling Long, Frank finds out that Shan Mei is under nourished and only then does he slightly recall that Shan Mei really hasn’t eaten much of anything over the past couple of weeks.  Moreover, she goes to donate her blood for food for him due to his unreasonable demands.  At this moment, Frank feels extremely guilty over not explaining the whole truth of the fake vase to Shan Mei.

Shan Mei suffers from a high fever on the hospital bed.  After a long time of high fever and unconsciousness, Shan Mei suddenly awakens.  She has only one thought in her head and that is she wants to go home.  She doesn’t want to see Frank ever again.  Moreover, when a person is sick, their hearts and minds are extremely weak.  Shan Mei wants to apologize to her parents.  She wants to go home.  She really wants to go home…

Episode 5:

Shan Mei suffers from a high fever on the hospital bed.  After a long time of high fever and unconsciousness, Shan Mei suddenly awakens.  All of a sudden, she runs out of the hospital on her barefoot.  She has only one thought in her head and that is she wants to go home…

In order to make amends, Frank bought lots of nutritious foods in hopes that Shan Mei would quickly regain her strength back.  Of course, he also wants to make amends for his own lies.  Unfortunately, Shan Mei did not appreciate his kindness at all.  At first Frank was angry that Shan Mei is using her own health to fight with him but later, he finds out from Ling Long that Shan Mei really didn’t have any appetite to eat or swallow anything.  Also, when Shan Mei is sick, the food that she wants to eat the most is those made by her mom!  Frank is stumped.  This is really a big problem.  Since Shan Mei is not able to go home now, he really doesn’t know where he is going to go to get the food that Shan Mei’s mother makes.

Frank replaces Shan Mei at her job with wearing the sun outfit and handing out fliers, only then did he realize how exhausting this job is.  One day, while Frank was dressed up in the outfit and handing out fliers, Xiao Bei runs up to him carrying his schoolbag and mistakes Frank for being Shan Mei.  Without any trace of manners, Xiao Bei taps Frank on the shoulder and asks him to hand out some money.  Frank drags Xiao Bei into the alley and questions him on his relationship with Shan Mei.  Then Frank’s sharp eye discovers Xiao Bei’s lunchbox and he takes advantage of this opportunity to take the lunchbox away.  He also helped Shan Mei to get revenge on Xiao Bei for blackmailing her.

After Frank gives the lunchbox to Shan Mei, he sincere apologizes to her.  Shan Mei, who was planning not to forgive Frank no matter what, was touched by his sudden show of sincerity.  After Frank leaves, Shan Mei opens up the lunchbox and after one bite, tears start rolling down her eyes.  Although she doesn’t know where the lunchbox came from, but it is filled with the flavors that her mother makes.

On the other hand, although Ah Xing appears to have rejected Ling Long but he still keeps her request in his mind.  He really did steal En Hao’s company’s Secretary Cui’s PDA.  He naively thinks that the PDA would have En Hao’s schedule in it and gives it to Ling Long.  However, Ling Long doesn’t believe him at all.  They both get into an argument and accidentally break the PDA.  Ah Xing feels extremely guilty and decides to go and apologize to Secretary Cui.  When Frank finds out, he goes with Ah Xing to apologize together.  Frank even secretly goes to find Ling Long and criticizes her for not taking Ah Xing’s feelings for her kindly.  Even if they can’t be friends, she shouldn’t be stepping all over other people’s feelings.  Each one of Frank’s words resound loudly causing Ling Long to be ashamed of her actions.

Starting to eat again, Shan Mei’s health finally makes some progress.  Frank learns that Shan Mei is slowly gaining her strength back and doesn’t know why he is so happy about it.  However, he did not give much thought to the origin of these happy feelings.  Frank thought that he and Shan Mei are only two strangers who accidentally are living under the same roof.  It is too early to even say that they are friends.  He only wants to make amends for his own lies.  However, this is all because Frank is not aware that his feelings for Shan Mei have changed.  Before he is aware of this change, they are both still arguing every day.  In any case, with regards to love, there is someone whom he has admired for a long time and that is his elementary classmate, Ke Na.

Ke Na, who is a dancer, is like a small angel when she wears her white dancing dress but there has been no news of her after she transferred schools.  Frank has missed her very much.  One day, Frank bumps into his elementary classmate, Da Tou, who he has also lost touched with since elementary school.  In the past, his family was extremely poor and they had to move away in the dark of the night.  Years later, he is now standing in front of Frank, very nicely dressed and is some big company’s high ranking manager.  After Da Tou shows off his own grades and his good fortune, the topic changes and he reveals that they will be holding a reunion for their elementary class.  Frank is overjoyed when he hears this news because he knows that this could possibly be the only chance he has in seeing Ke Na again after graduation.  However, things are never as one would wish them to be.  One night, Da Tou suddenly calls to inform Frank that because they couldn’t decide on a location, they might have to cancel the reunion…

Episode 6:

From the day that Frank heard the news about the reunion from Da Tou, he has been very excited every day.  All he thinks about is seeing Ke Na again at the reunion.  Those several days, all he and Ah Xing talk about are things related to the reunion and have completely forgotten how to make Shan Mei’s life miserable.  What about Shan Mei who has fully recovered?  She returns to her days of working and making money.  After all, making money is her only goal now.  Coincidentally, one day when she is handing out fliers in a street corner, she bumps into En Hao.  She finds a chance to invite him out to eat and also encourages him not to give up during their dinner.  Using herself as an example, she would often ridicule herself.  En Hao gets attracted to Shan Mei by her optimistic and carefree personality.  She shows her true self in front of En Hao without holding anything back.  Unexpectedly, this would open up En Hao’s feelings toward Shan Mei…

One night, Da Tou suddenly calls to inform Frank that because they couldn’t decide on a location, they might have to cancel the reunion.  After hearing this news, Frank is shocked and couldn’t accept it.  Frank agitatedly tells himself, no matter what, they have to find a location to hold the reunion.  He suddenly remembers that Ah Xing does cleaning for a lot of mansions.  He quickly tries to come up with an idea and attempts to persuade Ah Xing to let them borrow En Hao’s mansion to hold the reunion.  But Ah Xing refuses to agree no matter what.  Seeing how his opportunity to see Ke Na again is going up in smoke, Frank anxiously begs Shan Mei for her help in hopes that she can help him convince Ah Xing to agree to his request.

Shan Mei doesn’t understand why Frank is so stubborn in holding this reunion.  Why do they have to secretly use someone else’s mansion to hold this gathering?  The suggestion that Frank made, Shan Mei would of course not agree to it.

After Frank lies to Ah Xing, they reconcile and Ah Xing finally agrees to Frank’s request.

Up until now, Frank has actually stood up for Ah Xing.  On the surface, Ah Xing appears to have rejected Ling Long but he still keeps her request in his mind.

From the beginning, Shan Mei has snorted at Frank’s request.  For a reunion, he must borrow someone else’s mansion to hold the gathering no matter what, isn’t that called being vain?  Perhaps she couldn’t get rid of Frank’s constant pestering or perhaps she understands Frank’s feelings of wanting to thank a person and no doubt, perhaps she is also curious as to who this girl that he is so infatuated with is, Shan Mei agrees to help Frank on the day of his reunion.

Filled with joy, Frank prepares for the reunion.  However, because he doesn’t have the money for it, he starts to go after Shan Mei.  He actually goes behind Shan Mei’s back and goes to her job and gets a salary advancement on her behalf.

On the day of the reunion, Frank appears inside the mansion with the image of a successive businessman.  The classmates come one after the other and Frank uses the solemn face of mansion’s owner to greet everyone.  Everyone is very envious of Frank’s current situation while Frank is anticipating Ke Na’s arrival.  Seeing how the reunion is coming to an end, but Ke Na has still not appeared.

As for Shan Mei?  For the whole day, she has been dragged to the mansion to work as a servant.  Serving food, washing dishes, all because Frank said a whole bunch of lies which made Shan Mei softhearted and agreed to help him.  Without a clue that her salary has been advanced, will Shan Mei find out soon?  What kind of trouble will Frank get into by advancing Shan Mei’s salary and feeling guilty about it?  What will change between their relationship?

Episode 7:

After the car accident, Frank needs someone to take care of him.  Although Shan Mei is not willing, but as far as she can see, she is the only one who is able to take care of Frank, who has a broken leg.  However, she is a girl and he is a guy after all and things get complicated when he has to use the bathroom.

After Frank was injured, he wasn’t able to work.  Since her salary was advanced by Frank, Shan Mei was given a bonus by Ke Na.  However, the minute that she gets her hands on this bonus money, it gets taken away by her brother and sister-in-law, who found out from Xiao Bei that Shan Mei has returned to the country.

As a result, Frank and Shan Mei’s expenses are pressed for money.  Gradually, their life starts to fall into desperate times.  When they can no longer stand the hunger in their stomach, they would squat in front of someone’s mansion door and stare at the delicious can food that the rich man’s dog is eating.  Their saliva would drip without any dignity at all.  Frank takes Shan Mei to sing karaoke so that they can forget their hunger.  Just when they are confined in this sorrowful state, Valentine’s Day will soon arrive.

What does Valentine’s Day have anything to do with this couple?  That’s because there will be a big hugging competition!

Yup, it is said that if one attends the Valentine’s Day long-lasting hugging competition, the couple who wins the grand prize will win $100,000.  Frank becomes greedy over the prize money and he immediately persuades Shan Mei to disguise as a pair of lovers to attend this hugging competition.  Hearing Frank’s suggestion, Shan Mei is bewildered.  Pretend to be lovers?  Shan Mei is totally not willing to comply but for money… No… she absolutely will not betray her self-esteem for money… but for the money… No… no matter what she does, she couldn’t possibly reduce to pretending to be lovers with Frank Cai, could she?

Deep down Shan Mei is still struggling with her decision but Frank is already dragging her to the venue of the competition.

Has the lovers this year become more daring or has there been more poor people this year?   It is a clear and cloudless competition day and there are dozens of pairs of lovers that show up.  Each pair that accepted the interview displayed their lovingly closeness to one another.  The host hands over a microphone and starts to inquire about the details of Frank and Shan Mei’s relationship.  This type of face to face questioning is no problem for Frank.  He is cool and calm as he answers the host’s questions and talk about his relationship with Shan Mei.  In the end, he forgets himself and starts to weave a big story over their love relationship.  Shan Mei has no choice but to follow along and put in a few words.  After the whistle is blown, the hugging competition officially begins.

Ling Long clearly heard the speech that Frank was preaching to her and so she goes to Ah Xing’s company to ask him a whole bunch of questions which he has no clue about.  At this time, the news of the hugging competition is being broadcasted on TV.  Ah Xing and Ling Long couldn’t believe their eyes… Frank and Zeng Shan Mei… when did they start going out?

In the end, they both missed the grand prize by just a little bit.  They won second place and the prize was a candlelight dinner for two.  That night, they both enjoyed a rare candlelight dinner.  Don’t know if it is the right atmosphere or what but this dinner almost had the feel of a date.  Unfortunately a poor person’s stomach is not made for a rich man’s food as Frank immediately gets a stomachache after eating the food and has to rush to the bathroom.

The activity’s of that day was shown on the news.  Frank and Shan Mei’s interview was broadcasted over the TV for the whole country to see.  Of course, Shui Liang and Huo Shu saw the broadcast… so Shan Mei has returned?  Why didn’t she contact the family if she returned?  No matter what the reason is Shui Liang is furious.  In a flash, Shui Liang jumps up in anger and everyone is trying to persuade her not to get too agitated.  Unexpectedly, Shui Liang’s complexion turns white and she faints…!

Frank finally reunites with Ke Na, whom he thinks about all day and night.  Coincidentally, he finds out that Ke Na is the boss of the cafe shop where Shan Mei is working at.  Frank is shy and surprised since he didn’t expect Ke Na to remember him.  Frank immediately sticks to the coffee shop to help out Ke Na.

Ling Long racks her brains trying to write a love letter to En Hao.  Unexpectedly this is found out by her manager and her manager fires her making Ling Long lose her job.  Ling Long goes to Shan Mei crying that the general manager is heartless.  After hearing this news, Shan Mei is angry and she rushes over to the general manager’s office to defend Ling Long.  She barges in and is shocked to discover that the general manager is En Hao.  While Shan Mei is in shock, Frank, who is helping Ke Na to make a deliver to the office building, sees Shan Mei and En Hao talking.  From afar, it seems that En Hao’s actions toward Shan Mei appear to be naturally intimate.  Don’t know why, but Frank feels that his heart is very uncomfortable… could it be that love has already quietly arrived?

Episode 9:

Frank is puzzled as to how Shan Mei knows Jin En Hao.  He pesters Shan Mei for half a day and as a result, they both start arguing again.  Shan Mei feels the animosity that Frank has towards En Hao and her intuition tells her that Frank is envious of En Hao’s wealth.  Anyway, Frank only sees the surface of it all and doesn’t know that En Hao is actually an adopted son.  Abandoned by his birth parents at an orphanage, En Hao is not born with a silver spoon in his mouth as Frank thinks.  En Hao is just fortunate that he becomes a wealthy person is what Shan Mei thinks.  In any case, after she understands that En Hao loves photography but is willing to give it up because of his father, when Frank verbally attacks En Hao, she unconsciously steps forward and defends En Hao.

Frank is indeed envious but it is more than that… he is actually jealous!

Frank goes back to the coffee shop and talks to Ke Na about their childhood… because of Ke Na’s words, Frank suddenly starts to understand and realize that the feelings that he has for Ke Na is not love at all.  Ke Na invites Frank to dinner and reminisces the old days but Frank has other thoughts on his mind…

The most important thing right now is how to prevent Shan Mei from having dinner with En Hao is what Frank is thinking about.

Yes, Shan Mei agreed to have dinner with En Hao.  When Frank finds out that Shan Mei will be going out to dinner with En Hao, he deliberately invites Ke Na out.  Throughout the whole dinner, Frank is acting very childish which makes Shan Mei extremely furious.  This leads to another verbal battle between them.  Frank doesn’t know that actually Shan Mei is really mindful of his relationship with Ke Na.  Shan Mei knows that Frank has admired Ke Na since childhood.  Their reunion after they have grown up, will it lead to sparkles of love between them?  Shan Mei is divided in her thoughts.  On one hand, she feels that this is none of her business.  On the other hand, she couldn’t help but conjure up Frank and Ke Na’s relationship.  Shan Mei starts to worry that she is overly concerned over Frank.  Are Frank’s feelings for Ke Na really growing?  Honestly speaking, even Frank believes that he will only love Ke Na in this lifetime but after reuniting with Ke Na, he finds out that what he likes is the feeling that he has in his crush for Ke Na and that is not true love.  Suddenly, the regret that he has felt inside of him for many years is finally released.  Frank understands that at this time, he only regards Ke Na as a friend who shares childhood memories with him.

As for En Hao’s feelings for Shan Mei?  At first, En Hao only regarded Shan Mei as a friend, but later, he really starts to like this innocent and kind hearted girl.  All the girls that are on his side only regard him as the second generation successor of an enterprise and constantly tries to get his good impressions.  But Shan Mei is different.  She is really genuine, just like her name.  He invites Shan Mei out to dinner because he has confessed his feelings to her earlier and he hopes to be able to start a relationship with her.

Originally, Frank and Shan Mei are on bad terms with each other after the dinner but because of one mouse, their silence is broken up when they returned home!!  Yup, scared of mice, they both think of all ways possible to get rid of it but they were still not able to do anything about it ~ it is also because they are afraid that they are forced to hand over their warm house to let the mouse sleep in it.  They both ended up in the front yard, talking… believing that Shan Mei has fallen asleep, Frank finally says the words that are kept within his heart: Actually, if we continue to keep things the way it is between us now, it wouldn’t be so bad.  Am I hearing things?  Did this guy really say this?  This night’s sky reveals a romantic atmosphere…

Episode 10:

Shan Mei, who needs money, mistakenly goes to the wrong company and applies to be a beer girl.

Shan Mei over simplifies the job of a beer girl.  She originally thought that all she had to do is sell beer at different locations but she never imagined that all the places where she has to go work are very complicated.  It is unavoidable that she will meet crazy drunkards or perverts at these places.  One day, Shan Mei is having a difficult time with one of the guests.  Coincidentally, Frank witnesses how Shan Mei is being bullied by the guest and taken advantage of.  Frank lost his patience and clenching his fists, he is about to go up and teach this guy a lesson.  Unexpectedly, an expensive Benz, stops in front of the door and like a Prince Charming, Jin En Hao shows up and takes Shan Mei away.  Frank, who is hiding under the dim light post in the dusk of night, can only watch as Shan Mei gets into the car.  The Benz is driving farther and farther away until it disappears around the corner of the street.  Frank stands in the original spot with no where to go.  This is the first time in Frank’s life that he feels his heart ache painfully.

After En Hao takes Shan Mei away, he asks her in the car with concern in his voice whether she is hurt by the drunk’s pushing around.  Shan Mei is still shaken from her encounter but she is remembering the familiar figure that she saw from across the street.  Shan Mei speculates that the shadow of the person whom she saw looks very much like Frank.  If it is Frank, then he must have seen her working as a beer girl?  If he saw, then why didn’t he come to help her when she is being bullied by the drunken guest?

Thinking about this point, Shan Mei suddenly starts to feel somewhat sad… but the fact is that Frank really didn’t just let it slip by him!

The two drunken guys are currently smoking on the curbside and Frank goes up to them and punch them.  He wants them to go back and apologize to Shan Mei.  Unexpectedly, during this shuffle, the lucky charm that Shan Mei gave to Frank fell out.  The two guys go up and keep on stepping on the lucky charm which makes Frank extremely angry.  Frank rushes toward them but he is no match for these two guys and gets beaten up by them.

A wounded Frank returns home and Shan Mei doesn’t know what happened.  She is worried about his injuries but Frank’s coldness hurt her.  This makes Shan Mei certain that Frank knows about her being a beer girl and she mistakes him for doing nothing to help her.

That night, Shan Mei is hurt and is not able to fall asleep the whole night.

Shan Mei asks the mouse in the cage that they are raising, why she is so sad?  Why does she have to care what Frank says?

The next day, Ling Long comes to thank Shan Mei for her help in putting a good word for her in front of En Hao.  She finds out from Frank that Shan Mei and En Hao had dinner together… this is a big problem!!  Feeling that Shan Mei has betrayed her, Ling Long did not listen to Shan Mei’s explanations and decides to break off her friendship with Shan Mei.

Frank receives a call from the car dealership and arrives at En Hao’s company to take full responsibility all by himself.  Because of Shan Mei, En Hao decides not to hold Frank to any responsibilities.  However, when Frank is about to leave, En Hao asks him whether he likes Shan Mei?  Frank says: It is none of your business.  The confrontation between these two guys are about to begin.

One day, Frank bumps into Xiao Bei and he invites Frank to celebrate Shan Mei’s birthday.  He also mentioned that Shan Mei has never really celebrated any birthdays since she was young…  Hearing this, although Frank doesn’t want to admit it but deep down he is already determined to give Shan Mei a birthday that she has never had.

However, is Frank going to be able to use Shan Mei’s birthday to confess his feelings to her?  Will Shan Mei accept Frank’s feelings?  What obstacle will En Hao’s obvious pursuit of Shan Mei bring for her and Frank?

Episode 11:

Shan Mei comes to look for Ah Xing and they had a peaceful chat.  Ah Xing said that Frank who appears to be a rascal and always getting in trouble is actually a very loyal and affectionate friend.  He is actually very considerate, kind hearted and is a good person.  These words make Shan Mei think about Frank in a new way.  Actually, he is not really that bad and it also awakens the memories of all the things that he has done for her.  It turns out that all along, he is just harsh in the way he talks and really doesn’t mean it.

As for Frank… he isn’t indifferent.  Unconsciously, he has changed due to Shan Mei’s influence.  After he decides to truly put his foot down and solve his debt problems, plus the pending arrival of Shan Mei’s birthday, Frank doubles his efforts to work hard to make money.  Whether it is following his elementary classmate, Da Tou, to perform magic tricks or clean the bathrooms… he is doing all this because of the girl that he loves – Shan Mei.  He wants to give Shan Mei happiness, wants to help her shoulder the responsibilities that she carries, and wants her to understand the feeling that being able to do things for the girl that he loves is a blessing.

One day, Xiao Bei arrives at the department store where Shan Mei works to remind her to go home for dinner.  This is because the whole family is going to throw a party for Shan Mei who has never celebrated her birthday before.  Xiao Bei even deliberately reveals that Frank might be buying her a present.  With anticipation in her heart, Shan Mei finally understands why Frank kept on reminding her to go home for dinner earlier.  Shan Mei finally understands now.

On the other hand, holding the money that he has worked hard earning, Frank chooses Shan Mei’s first birthday present ever.  Just when he is anticipating giving Shan Mei an unforgettable birthday, Ke Na calls him.  Because Ke Na was injured in an accident, under Frank’s encouragement, she decides to go to a dance classroom to teach little kids to dance.  Frank goes with Ke Na to apply for the position and when they are both leaving the dance classroom, Ke Na’s old foot injury recurs…
