Episode 1: 

            Eighteen years old, first year student in college, Mai Qiu Sui is just like any other ordinary girl.  Since childhood, she grows up in a happy and warm family.  Although their family condition is not too wealthy and they only live in a small shabby apartment, but Xiao Mai actually feels very happy.

            However, she never imagined that during the summer vacation when she will be attending her first year of college, an important matter will occur that will significantly change her whole life.  A whole bunch of mysterious black suited guys shows up in her family’s small apartment and announce that her real identity is the rich Huang Fu Enterprise’s Chairman, Huang Fu Xiong’s granddaughter, who has been missing for many years.  Father Mai and Mother Mai also acknowledge that Xiao Mai is not their biological daughter and that she was a baby whom they bought with money.  This causes Xiao Mai’s status to rise from the ordinary world into the heavens above.

            However, just when Xiao Mai is still trying to adjust, her grandfather, Huang Fu Xiong, extends his powerful and mighty ways.  Xiao Mai is forced to move out of the Mai family and into the Huang Fu mansion.  Yet, the life of a wealthy family’s daughter is not as happy as one imagines it to be.  Even though her allowance is often around millions of dollars but she is forced to be separated from her parents whom she has lived with for 18 years and whom she has thought of as her real parents.  The first day that Xiao Mai arrives at Huang Fu mansion, she gets into a conflict with the young master, Nan Feng Jin who everyone within the Huang Fu family has accepted as being the most probable person to be the next successor of Huang Fu Enterprise.  On the other hand, Nan Feng Jin has accepted that Xiao Mai is a money hogging female who is up to no good.  The two of them are constantly arguing with each other and always stepping on each others’ toes.  Xiao Mai originally wanted to look for Father Mai and Mother Mai to chat with them but she finds out that under Huang Fu Xiong’s request, her parents are not allowed to see her ever again in exchange for a house that Huang Fu Xiong is giving them.  This causes Xiao Mai to get extremely mad…

Episode 2:

            Huang Fu Xiong is willing to go along with granddaughter, Xiao Mai’s proposal but only under one condition – in five years, if Xiao Mai is not able to pay off the loan then she must get married with Huang Fu Xiong’s successor.

            Xiao Mai understands what Huang Fu Xiong is thinking and that is he wishes her to get married with his successor no matter what.  Xiao Mai is certain that she will be able to pay off the loan for the house in 5 years.  As a result, she quickly signs the contract.

            Because Huang Fu Xiong doesn’t want Xiao Mai to go visit her parents alone, Xiao Mai has no choice but to pull Jin along with her so that she can obtain her grandfather’s trust.  This also allows Jin to see for the first time the warmth of an ordinary family, which has also been Jin’s long time wish.

            However, because Xiao Mai goes back to visit her parents too often, it brings about Huang Fu Xiong’s displeasure.  As a result, Huang Fu Xiong provided Father Mai with a chance for a promotion but he would have to go to Brazil to work which implies that Father Mai must thoroughly separate from Xiao Mai.  Yet Father Mai wants to take this opportunity to prove that he has the ability to bring happiness to Xiao Mai.  Therefore, even if it is just a short separation, Father Mai and Mother Mai are willing to clench their teeth and endure it.  The only problem is no one dares to tell Xiao Mai about this decision and keeps it a secret from her.  Until the last minute when her parents are about to board the plane, when Xiao Mai finds out, she immediately runs out the door.  En route, she gets blocked by Sen Chuan and the rest of the guys.  Xiao Mai begs Jin to take her to the airport and Jin agrees.  Yet, she still misses seeing the face of her parents before they left.  Xiao Mai is extremely upset and decides to leave the Huang Fu family.

            She returns to the Mai house all by herself.  Facing the cold and empty house, her loneliness is even more obvious.  Jin couldn’t bear to see Xiao Mai like this and so he wanted to keep her company.  But immediately following that, Xiao Mai is caught and brought back home by Huang Fu Xiong.  Even Jin is not able to disobey Huang Fu Xiong’s decision.

Episode 3: 

            Xiao Mai originally thought that Father Mai was forced to leave by her grandfather.  After she receives an encouraging SMS from Father Mai, only then did she know that Father Mai’s decision to go to Brazil is based on the hope that he will be able to have the ability and the qualifications to take Xiao Mai back to his side in the future.

            As a result, Xiao Mai puts down her resentment towards her grandfather.  Yet on the other hand, she is wondering how she is going to repay the NT$5 million that she still owes him.  She positively thinks to make money by working in the mansion but Grandfather is one step ahead of her and prevents her from having any opportunities to make money.

            Just when Xiao Mai is worrying over how to earn money, an uninvited guest suddenly pops up on her bed – Nan Feng Lin.  He expresses that he really likes Xiao Mai and takes out a NT$5 million check to indicate that he can help Xiao Mai out.  His only condition is to have Xiao Mai spend a night with him…

            Xiao Mai is surprised to find a strange guy on her bed in the middle of the night.  Even if this guy is Nan Feng Lin, it is not a joking matter…  As expected, Grandfather finds out about this and is furious over the incident.  He makes Jin move next door to Xiao Mai’s room so that Jin can protect her.  But Jin knows that this is just another one of his Grandfather’s excuses in hopes of trying to get Jin and Xiao Mai closely together.

            Xiao Mai misunderstands and thinks that Lin’s boldness in entering her room is under Jin’s consent.  Moreover, Jin’s former attitude towards Xiao Mai isn’t too good and so Xiao Mai’s misunderstanding of Jin grows deeper and deeper…  At this time, Xiao Mai accidentally sees Jin hiding information on rental houses and finds out that Jin wants to leave the Huang Fu family.  In order to keep Xiao Mai’s mouth close, Jin actually shows an unusually serious side of himself…

            At this time, Nan Feng Cai appears and expresses that he is willing to give Xiao Mai NT$5 million on the condition that she is willing to falsely agree to an engagement with Nan Feng Jin.  Her mission is considered successful after she gets the emotionless Jin to have a huge argument with Grandfather.  Originally, Xiao Mai is not willing play a trick on a Jin just because of Cai’s evil hobby of wanting to create trouble but when she remembers that the silly Lin is under Jin’s clutches and consented to Lin breaking into her room in the middle of the night, Xiao Mai decides to agree to Cai’s request.  Xiao Mai accepts the NT$2.5 million check from Cai as a down payment.

            In order to play a trick on Jin, Xiao Mai goes to Grandfather and tells him that she likes Jin.  In his happiness, Grandfather immediately wants the two of them to get engaged.  In order to increase the opportunity for the two of them to be alone together, Grandfather requests that Jin personally train Xiao Mai in etiquette and dancing so that she will not embarrass herself at the engagement party.

Episode 4: 

            Although Jin is very unwilling to get engaged to Xiao Mai, but in order to make Xiao Mai presentable to the public in 2 weeks time, he has no choice but to use the same strict training that he had received many years ago on Xiao Mai.  Xiao Mai is miserable and yet can’t complain.  What’s more, because of all their previous misunderstandings, she believes that Jin is taking this chance to get back at her.

            In addition, Xiao Mai is finally able to make friends at the school, but Jin warns her that this is only what she thinks.  He wants her to clearly understand one thing and that is the people of the Huang Fu family… have no friends…  Although Xiao Mai believes otherwise, but later she discovers that these “friends” are really just using her to get close to Emp. to get some sort of benefit.  It is extremely hard for Xiao Mai to accept this and Jin reveals that he had also been betrayed by his friends in the past before.  As a result, he swears to leave the Huang Fu family because only then would he be able to live a normal person’s life.  Hearing this, Xiao Mai feels somewhat sorry for Jin…

            As they interact and spend more of their time together, Xiao Mai discovers that she is getting more and more attracted to Jin.  She seems to have unconsciously fallen in love with him.  When she is going out alone with Jin, Xiao Mai suddenly wants to experience the pleasure of looking for houses like ordinary people do.  She finds out about Jin’s wish of leaving the Huang Fu family and venturing out on his own in the world.  Xiao Mai is deeply touched by the look in Jin’s eyes when he was speaking about his dreams.  She also understands the heavy burden that Jin is shouldering ever since he has been engaged to her because this means that his dream of leaving the Huang Fu family will never come true.  The day of the engagement party is getting closer and closer.  Xiao Mai’s heart is caught up in a major battle.

            At this time, Jin uses the excuse of helping Xiao Mai to hold a welcoming party in order to get Xiao Mai and Cai together.  He schemes to get the two people to sleep together so that he can use this to force Xiao Mai to cancel their engagement with their grandfather.

Episode 5: 

            Although, Xiao Mai is shocked at Jin’s actions but she couldn’t open her mouth to request her grandfather to break off the engagement.  On the eve of the engagement party, Emp. helped Xiao Mai prepare a gathering to officially introduce her.  Aside from telling everyone her real identity, he also announces her engagement to Jin.  This puts pressure on both Xia Mai and Jin.

            At the party, Jin coincidentally meets an old friend and witnesses how the enticement of money can change one’s friendship.  This causes Xiao Mai, who sees everything and feels bad for Jin, to become even more determined to help Jin get the freedom that he wants.  As a result, Xiao Mai finally gathers up her courage and tells Emp. that she doesn’t want to get married to Jin.  When Jin finds out about this, he is shocked.  He never imagined that when he hears the news that he doesn’t need to be engaged anymore, he would feel so depressed within his heart.  Jin leaves and wants to spend some time alone to think things over.  Emp. misunderstands Jin and thought that Jin is disobeying his order and ran away from home.  This causes Emp. to get extremely angry.  At this time, Xiao Mai thinks up of the only way to get Emp.’s attention away from Jin and that is to use herself as bait…

            Xiao Mai naively thinks that the only way to get Emp.’s attention away from Jin at the present moment is to use herself as bait… She also runs away from home so that Emp. will be busy on both sides and will not have the time to go and look for Jin.  This reckless move really does create havoc for Sen Chuan and the others. 

            After Jin gets in contact with Lin that’s when he finds out that he has been mistaken for running away from home.  Moreover, in order to protect him, Xiao Mai uses herself as a bait to lure Emp.’s attention away from Jin.  They still haven’t found any traces of Jin and Xiao Mai so everyone is extremely worried.

            The first place that Jin thinks of is Xiao Mai’s house.  As a result, he secretly goes over there to look for her.  Unfortunately, he gets mistaken for a thief and gets beat up with a stick.  When Xiao Mai finds out that Jin specially came to look for her, she is extremely happy.  Just when they were on the verge of getting close to each other, they get caught by Emp.  Seeing how Jin and Xiao Mai’s relationship seems to be improving, Emp. gets optimistic that he has succeeded.  However, at this moment, Jin unexpectedly finds out about Xiao Mai and Cai’s agreement.  Jin believes that Xiao Mai agreed to marry him because of the money and this is something that he can’t tolerate… their relationship is on the verge of a breakdown.

Episode 6: 

            Cai doesn’t want Xiao Mai and Jin to break up because of his own fault.  As a result, he and Emp. conspire in hopes of instigating Jin’s jealousy.  Yet suddenly, Lin hurriedly runs to Xiao Mai and tells her that Jin got into a car accident.  This causes Xiao Mai to get extremely frightened…

            Xiao Mai and Lin rushes off to the hospital and only then did Xiao Mai discover that this is all part of Lin’s plan to find out how deep her feelings for Jin are.  In the end, Lin understands that Xiao Mai’s feelings for Jin are real.  Therefore, he wants to get them together but after he hurries back home, he finds out that Jin left a letter and runs away from home.  Xiao Mai is shocked when she learns this.

            On the other hand, in order to bet how well he understands Jin, Emp. conspires with Cai and pretends to let Xiao Mai get engaged with Cai.  They want to take this opportunity to make Jin jealous and get him to show his feelings for Xiao Mai.  However, with each passing minute and second of waiting, there is still no news of Jin and even Cai starts to get anxious.

            Moreover, as a result of running away from home, Jin discovers that Xiao Mai’s place in his heart has grown considerably big.  He can’t endure Xiao Mai getting married to someone else and so he rushes home to try to prevent the wedding ceremony from happening.  Once he gets home, he discovers that there is no one there.  He thought that he has missed the ceremony and is feeling depressed.  Only then did he find out that Emp. had cancelled the ceremony and he happily runs to see Xiao Mai.  They both confirm their feelings for each other.

Episode 7: 

            Although they have both acknowledged that they like one another, but they are still trying to avoid from having Emp. find out so as to avoid Jin from becoming the true successor of the Huang Fu family.  Emp. even posts a $100,000NT reward in hopes that someone will be able to take intimate pictures of Jin and Xiao Mai as proof that they are in a relationship.  As a result, they both think of every way possible to escape from Emp.’s watchful eyes.  Finally Xiao Mia thinks up of a plan.  They will use a woman’s dressing room to meet so that they can avoid all the watchful eyes and spend some time alone.

            Emp. knows that this offensive move will not be able to force Jin and Xiao Mai to admit their love for each other.  As a result, he secretly schemes to carry out an even more explosive plan…

Episode 8: 

            When Jin and Xiao Mai are still painstakingly trying to find ways to avoid Emp.’s watchful eyes, a sudden lightening bolt drops down from the bright skies!  Emp. unexpectedly expresses that Xiao Mai is not his real granddaughter and that this has all been a huge misunderstanding!  The real Huang Fu Shan is actually a girl who just transferred into Xiao Mai’s class – Gong Mo Li.

            Everyone is shocked at this news and Xiao Mai receives a big blow.  Aside from not knowing the whereabouts of her real parents, Xiao Mai also doesn’t want to leave this Huang Fu family which she has grown feelings for.  However, the biggest shock is that Emp. wants Jin and Gong Mo Li to get married.  Although Jin consoles Xiao Mai and tells her that he will absolutely not get married to Gong Mo Li but Xiao Mai understands that with Emp.’s mighty power, his orders are difficult to disobey!

            Xiao Mai is not willing to hand over Jin to Gong Mo Li.  As a result, she begs Emp. to let her stay and be a servant.  Although Jin can’t bear the plight that Xiao Mai is about to face, but at least they will still be able to see each other every day.  Emp. also believes that with Xiao Mai’s past experience, she will be able to help Mo Li to get accustomed to the Huang Fu family’s environment as soon as possible.  As a result, he allows Xiao Mai to become Mo Li’s personal maid.  However, Gong Mo Li is deliberately makes things difficult for Xiao Mai.

Episode 9: 

            Xiao Mai, who becomes the maid, although she suffers all the difficulties that Mo Li creates for her, but she still insists on staying at the Huang Fu home.  This is all for the purpose of continuing to be together with Jin.  Yet Mo Li’s motives toward Jin are becoming more and more obvious which causes Xiao Mai to get extremely worried.  Just when Xiao Mai is investigating whether Mo Li is taking advantage of the time to get close with Jin, they get into an argument and Xiao Mai discovers that there is no birthmark on Mo Li at all.  As a result, Xiao Mai is certain that Mo Li is not Emp.’s real granddaughter.  After Mo Li’s identity is exposed, she naturally confirms that she is indeed not Huang Fu Xiong’s real granddaughter.  Her identity is a pretense because she wants to get her hands on Jin.  As a result, Xiao Mai is extremely furious and she wants to go look for Emp. to tell him the truth of her discovery.  Unexpectedly, for Emp. refuses to believe her.  Since Xiao Mai doesn’t have any evidence to prove her claim, she couldn’t expose Mo Li’s conspiracy.  Not willing to admit defeat and being stubborn, Xiao Mai wants to depend on her own strength and not rely on other people’s help to expose Mo Li’s true colors.

            However, Xiao Mai’s investigation is constantly being obstructed by Mo Li and in the end, Xiao Mai is forced to stay out of Mo Li’s room for offending her mistress.  Yet Xiao Mai still refuses to give up.

            One day, as Xiao Mai is cleaning in Emp.’s room, she unexpectedly overhears Mo Li and Emp. conspiring together.  It turns out that Emp. deliberately asked Mo Li to disguise herself as his granddaughter and have her pretend to take Jin away.  His goal is to force Jin and Xiao Mai to willing acknowledge their relationship to each other.  Xiao Mai, who overhears this whole conspiracy, decides to take revenge and fight back.

            The next day, Xiao Mai pretends to resign from her job and decides to go to Brazil.  As expected, Emp. and the others are stunned and they come to stop her.  Just when Xiao Mai is pretending to give her blessings to Jin and Mo Li and show that there is nothing going on between her and Jin in hopes of forcing Mo Li or Emp. to tell the truth, Jin unexpectedly overhears the whole conversation.  Jin seems to have misunderstood that Xiao Mai wants to leave him and out of his anger, he indicates that he is willing to marry Mo Li which shocks everyone.

            Xiao Mai runs after Jin to try to explain but Jin is not willing to listen to her.  Actually, there seems to something else on Jin’s mind.  He also wants to use his own methods to expose all the conspiracies.

            Sure enough, the next day, Jin deliberately pretends to be on good terms with Mo Li.  He even wants to invite Mo Li to the villa for a vacation.  Emp., who is afraid that Jin and Mo Li would really develop feelings for each other, ordered Cai and Xiao Mai to go with them.  Seeing how Jin is repeatedly trying to get close to Mo Li and refusing to listen to her explanations, this seems to have surpassed the point of misunderstanding and Xiao Mai wonders whether Jin has perhaps really fallen in love with Mo Li.  However, even if this is the case, Xiao Mai is still not willing to give up Jin.

Episode 10: 

            En route to the vacation villa, Xiao Mai continues to find opportunities to straighten things out with Jin.  On the other hand, she also has to deal with the thorn in her side – Gong Mo Li.  Under Mo Li’s instigation, Xiao Mai and Mo Li get into another big argument.  But everything finally comes to an end after Jin’s announcement after dinner…  Jin expresses to everyone that in order to get to know Mo Li better so that their relationship can deepen further, he hopes to be able to spend the night together with Mo Li.  He even pushes Xiao Mai towards Cai.  After Jin makes this announcement, even Mo Li, who has always expressed that she likes Jin, is stunned.  Actually, in her heart, she already has someone else that she likes.  In her anger, Xiao Mai agrees to share a room with Cai.  A treacherous and deceitful night is about to begin!

            Although Xiao Mai is in the same room as Cai, but in her heart, she is still worrying about Mo Li and Jin’s situation.  As for Mo Li, she is also worrying what will happen in the upcoming night.  As a result, she is extremely cautious of Jin’s every action and movement.  Unknown to all, everything is within Jin’s plan and control…

            Sure enough, the impatient Xiao Mai goes looking for Jin in the middle of the night.  She attempts to express to Jin that she has not changed her feelings for him, yet Jin acts extremely cold towards her.  As a result, Cai protects Xiao Mai which leads to Mo Li’s unexpected confession to Cai!  It turns out that the person whom Mo Li truly likes is Cai.  Moreover, she has had a crush on him for more than 10 years.  The whole purpose of this plan is so that she can get close to Cai.

            The truth is finally revealed.  Surprised and touched at the same time, Cai finally decides to try to start a relationship with Mo Li.  As for Xiao Mia and Jin, they both decide that they will be honest with Emp.  In the end, Jin and Cai both firmly express to Emp. that they have no intention of becoming his successor.  Xiao Mai and Mo Li also refuse to back down and so Emp. is forced to put his final plan into action!

Episode 11: 

            Emp. is forced to put his final plan into action and he banishes the 4 of them from the Huang Fu family.  Just as Jin had wished, he is allowed to venture out on his own.  On the other hand, Emp. orders Sen Chuan to block off all finances and resources to the 4 of them.  As a result, they had no choice but to go out and look for a job.

            In the end, with Xiao Mi’s help, Xiao Mai and the other 3 moved into Xiao Mai’s old house to live.  As for Jin, who couldn’t find a job, finally found work at a construction site.  Xiao Mai is extremely heartbroken over how much hardship Jin has to suffer but Jin’s persistence and diligence touched Xiao Mai.  Through all these hardships, Xiao Mai and Jin’s relationship progresses even more…

Episode 12: 

            Days passed by, Xiao Mai changes into a housewife.  She takes care of everyone’s meals and controls the finances daily.  Jin continues to work day and night at the construction site.  Although Cai and Mo Li don’t have any more friends to rely on, Cai depends on pawning to pass by each day happily.  Emp. sees everything that is going on and he doesn’t want Xiao Mai and Jin to suffer such hardship.  As a result, he decides to go after each of them separately.

            Sen Chuan goes looking for Mo Li and Cai and with skill and patience, starts to entice them.  Although Mo Li and Cai rarely complains in front of Xiao Mai and Jin but deep within their hearts, they are actually not used to living this kind of a hard life.  As a result, Cai falls under the enticement and urges Jin to go home and stop fighting against Emp.  Instead, Jin questions Cai why he has to follow what everyone else says or does.  How long will they have to continue living life like this with no purpose at all?  As a result, Cai and Jin got into a huge argument.  However, within Cai’s heart, he understands that what Jin has said is right.  Under Mo Li’s loving support, Cai decides to return to the Huang Fu family to start anew.  Cai also strongly urges Emp. to leave Xiao Mai and Jin alone but Emp. continues to hold on strong…

            On the other hand, Xiao Mai and Jin’s lives seem to be going along very smoothly.  Jin finds a job at a small company and prepares to start a new life.  Finally seeing the result of their hardship, Xiao Mai and Jin understand the happiness of cherishing each other in the time of poverty.

            But God doesn’t seem to make it easy for these two young people.  At this time, Emp. suddenly falls critically ill.  Before Emp. loses consciousness, he decides to hand over the control of Huang Fu Enterprise to the Board of Directors so that Jin and Xiao Mai can continue on with their own lives.  Yet everyone knows that Emp.’s whole life is dedicated to Huang Fu Enterprise and they don’t want to see all his hard work wasted.  Jin and Xiao Mai have a discussion and Jin decides to give up on their present lifestyle and return to the Huang Fu family to be its successor.  Unfortunately, Xiao Mai firmly disagrees.  She believes that Jin should be loyal to his own heart and expresses that she should be the one to take over Emp.’s place and become the Huang Fu family’s successor.

Episode 13: 

            Xiao Mai wants to try her best to become the successor – this decision which comes as a big surprise to everyone, finally gets everyone’s support in the end.  Everyone works hard to help Xiao Mai in hopes that she will be able to pass the Board of Directors’ test and become Huang Fu Enterprise’s successor.  However, when she finally has to face the Board of Directors, Xiao Mai’s performance was not up to par.  Just when the Board of Directors are ready to veto the vote of Xiao Mai becoming the successor, Emp. miraculously wakes up and recommends Xiao Mai as his own successor.  Thus, the Board of Directors agreed but with one condition – Xiao Mai must go overseas for 3 years to receive training.  Looking at Jin and Emp., the suffering between love and kinship, Xiao Mai finally agrees to go aboard to study.

            At the airport on the day when Xiao Mai is set off to leave the country, everyone, including the recovered Emp., is waiting for the arrival of Jin.  It turns out that Jin is in the process of signing the first business contract of his life.  When Xiao Mai decides to let Jin focus on his career, decides to leave in advance, Jin shows up.  He gives her a copy of the first business contract that he signed which represents his promise to Xiao Mai.  He will wait for Xiao Mai’s return.  Before that day arrives, in order to not lose to Xiao Mai, who is studying aboard, he will work just as hard as her.

            They both hugged each other tightly and kissed goodbye at the airport…  They are not sad, because they know that their story will not end just like this.  In their future, love with continue, until forever…
