Episode 1:

           One was born in a remote fishing village, a straightforward teenager who relied on selling egg fried rice for a living – Michelin; one graduated from a top culinary institute in the U.S. at the age of 14 and is currently what everyone calls an international chef – Leng Lie.  Originally these two people whose lives would never have met, because of one special girl, their destinies start to tightly link together…

            Michelin’s Chinese cuisine restaurant is named “Egg Fried Rice.”  Every day there is a limit of only 100 servings of fried rice which leads to the villager’s many unusual rushing tactics to try to get their hands on an order.  Inside the restaurant, aside from Michelin, there is another assistant, Wasabi, who is in charge of waiting on the customers outside.  She has a crush on Michelin and she believes that jam-packed customers come to the shop because of her beauty.  Besides egg fried rice, Michelin is always trying to create new dishes but aside from egg fried rice; all the other dishes always make everyone run away as fast as they can.

            Michelin’s good friend from the old days – Cai Shan Cheng (nicknamed: San Ceng / Three Layers) came from a fishing boat from far away.  He has a fierce look but within he is a cowardly person.  He prepares to come to depend on Michelin and hopes that they can be like the way they were in the past and use their fists to make a name for themselves.  Yet, he never imagined that the present Michelin would obediently take over the restaurant that his dead father, Mi Cong Suo, left behind.  What is even more surprising is that Mi Cong, who used to drink all day long and who is not known for his culinary skills, would be able to teach Michelin such a delicious dish of fried rice?!  As for the orphan, San Ceng, who has nowhere else to go, he decides to stay behind at Egg Fried Rice Restaurant and becoming a bickering couple with Wasabi!

            On the other hand, the youngest graduate from the international royal culinary institute, relying on his “Ghost Noodle,” won numerous international culinary competitions, genius chef – Leng Lie, just came back from overseas.  In order to comply with his father, Leng Zhong Tian’s, arrangements, Leng Lie is prepared to become the Head of the Culinary Department at Leng Enterprise’s newly opened Imperial Hotel.  However, in actuality, Leng Lie is returning back to the country because he keeps on thinking of his childhood friend – Guan Xiao Shu.

            Leng Lie and Xiao Shu could have been lovers but a few years ago, Leng Lie was driving the car which got into a traffic accident and in turn led to Xiao Shu losing her sight.  Leng Lie looked everywhere domestically and internationally for famous doctors but he still isn’t able to cure Xiao Shu’s blindness.  Xiao Shu doesn’t want to become Leng Lie’s burden because he feels guilty and responsible and as a result, she deliberately tries to keep a distant from Leng Lie as a normal friend.  Hence, they drifted apart and a shadow is casted over their relationship…

            Xiao Shu tries her best to get used to the life of a blind person but this deepened Leng Lie’s guilt even more.  However, Leng Lie remains strong and doesn’t give up which, time and again, unknowingly gives Xiao Shu hope and brings her disappointment.  Leng Lie’s return this time originally should be a time for the two of them to reminisce the old days but because Leng Lie finds a new doctor to come and cure Xiao Shu, Xiao Shu firmly refuses.  Consequently, the old wound from the past is reopened again…

           Xiao Shu and Leng Lie had an argument over the issue of the doctors, but they both got over their differences very quickly.  At this time, Leng Lie gets a call that the chefs of the Imperial Hotel is not happy that Leng Lie could become the Head of the Culinary Department at such a young age and as a result, they are all on strike.  Leng Lie hurries over to take care of the matter while Xiao Shu and Nancy meet up to go driving around.  No one would have imagined that today is the day that Xiao Shu’s destiny would begin to change…

Episode 2:

            Seeing that Leng Lie is back, Nancy decides to encourage him to continue to pursue Xiao Shu but there is an unbreakable wall between the two of them due to Xiao Shu’s blindness.  Leng Lie tries really hard to make Xiao Shu happy and even invites her to a pretty good restaurant with nice dishes.  Who would have thought that Xiao Shu would take the initiative to suggest going to Egg Fried Rice.  The surprised Leng Lie curiously agrees…

           At Egg Fried Rice, for the first time, Leng Lie discovers that such a small restaurant could actually attract so many people.  Further still, the look of happiness and satisfaction on Xiao Shu’s face when she is tasting the egg fried rice is a look that Leng Lie has seen very little of.  Leng Lie finds out that he is starting to grow cautious of this chef.  Not only because Xiao Shu continuously praises Michelin’s fried rice but also because Michelin is one of the very few capable people, who is able to take the most well-known dish of Chinese cuisine – fried rice and bring out the very essence of it.  However, this outstanding chef, aside from egg fried rice, all the other dishes that he makes would cause people to be unable to eat it and give praises.

           On the other hand, Michelin sees Xiao Shu here with the famous international chef, Leng Lie.  Even though on the surface, he wants to treat him the same as his other customers but in his heart, Michelin is a bit cautious of Leng Lie.  Yet at this moment, Michelin doesn’t know that the uneasiness that he feels within his heart is due to the ambiguous manner that is between Xiao Shu and Leng Lie…

            After leaving Egg Fried Rice, Leng Lie takes advantage of Xiao Shu’s good mood to once again mention taking Xiao Shu to see a doctor.  Originally, he thought that they would get into another argument but being considerate of Leng Lie’s feelings, Xiao Shu doesn’t want him to feel guilty anymore.  So even knowing that there is really no hope, she still agrees to Leng Lie’s arrangements and goes to see the doctor.   Yet she never expected that the outcome would be that there’s a possibility that she will be blind for the rest of her life…

             While Leng Lie is feeling hurt and guilty, he decides to propose to Xiao Shu so that he can take care of her for the rest of her life.  Yet he never imagined that this action would bring forth their old wounds from the past.  Not wanting to become a burden on Leng Lie, Xiao Shu made a decision…  On the other hand, Leng Lie, who is determined to marry Xiao Shu, tells this decision to his father, who has always disapproved of them being together…

            Xiao Shu wants to escape from the deep feelings that Leng Lie has for her and so she leaves.  Not knowing where she could go, Xiao Shu finally comes to this Egg Fried Rice Restaurant which had given her warm memories and as a result, she decides to temporarily stay there.  Xiao Shu could only hope that her strength and her departure could truly make Leng Lie break free from the pain of his own guilt.  However, Xiao Shu did not discover that Egg Fried Rice Restaurant and the happy nature of Michelin and his staff would start to heal her.

            While Xiao Shu is deeply feeling the warmth of this small town and the lively atmosphere of Egg Fried Rice, Leng Lie is feeling hurt and guilty over not being able to find Xiao Shu.  When he finds out that Xiao Shu is safe but that she doesn’t want to see him, he can only use his work to heal his wounds.  Yet late at night when all is quiet, Leng Lie’s unconditional love that is laced with pain for Xiao Shu would always consume him.

            In the morning, Wasabi wakes up to find that Xiao Shu is not in bed.  After not being able to find her around the house either, Wasabi goes to wake up Michelin and San Ceng from their sleep.  The three of them suddenly realizes the danger of Xiao Shu not being able to see and being in an unfamiliar place.  They get anxious and split up to go and find her.

            The anxious Michelin finds Xiao Shu by the seaside telling stories to little kids.  Not knowing the worry of others’, Xiao Shu appears carefree and relaxed by the seaside which leaves a deep impression on Michelin.  En route back, running along the road of the seaside, these two people developed subtle feelings for each other.

Episode 3:

            Because he was hurt that Xiao Shu left, Leng Lie went drinking with Tilly and wakes up at the luxurious suite of the Imperial Hotel.  Tilly reveals the feelings that she has for Leng Lie but unfortunately, her love is not returned.  In Leng Lie’s heart, he is only concerned with Xiao Shu’s departure.

            Xiao Shu and Michelin returns to Egg Fried Rice Restaurant.  Wasabi feels the subtle closeness between Xiao Shu and Michelin and gets jealous.  She never thought that Xiao Shu would even want to continue to live there.  Yet Xiao Shu who wants to live independently by herself wants to find another place to live.  Wasabi takes this opportunity to help Xiao Shu find a house that is far away from Michelin.

            Now that she has almost settled down, Xiao Shu decides to face Leng Lie and so she gets in contact with Nancy over the phone.  Nancy and Leng Lie hastily rush over to Xiao Shu’s place and they are surprised that Xiao Shu wants to live independently by herself.  Leng Lie is very hurt, but he is also not able to change Xiao Shu’s decision.  He can only silently stay behind and make some snacks for her.  To him, Xiao Shu seems to be gradually leaving his life.  Although he is hurt, but he still decides to not give up on Xiao Shu.  As for Michelin, who couldn’t sleep at night, he seems to gradually discover the wonderful feelings that he seems to be having for Xiao Shu…

            In order to help renovate the orphanage, San Ceng owes one million dollars in debt and the loan sharks tracked him down at Egg Fried Rice Restaurant.  San Ceng was badly beaten up.  At first he didn’t want to tell the truth, but was forced by Michelin and Wasabi and so he told them the truth about the debts he owe.

            Xiao Shu wants to move and although Leng Lie couldn’t bear to let her go, he still gave her his blessings. He made a clear-sky-after-the-rain “Rainbow” snack for Xiao Shu.  Xiao Shu brings the snack to let Michelin and the others taste it.  Michelin gulps it down in two mouthfuls, unlike San Ceng and Wasabi, who after finish eating the “Rainbow” feels 7 different feelings of happiness.  Xiao Shu suggests to Michelin to eat it a little bit at a time but Michelin doesn’t pay much mind to it; at night, when Michelin is alone by himself, he tastes “Rainbow” bit by bit with a cup of tea on the side.  This opens up the sense of taste that has been covered up for so long within Michelin and he starts to crazily savor the taste of each ingredient.

            Leng Lie finds it difficult to forget Xiao Shu and he could only use the busyness of work to help forget the pain.  Leng Lie disregards everyone’s ideas and insists on using ordinary lunchbox cuisines for the cooking contest that Imperial Hotel will be holding.  They are using one million dollars as the winning prize to attract people to come and create the originality of the essence of beautiful food.  The winner also has the chance to get a job at the Imperial Hotel.

            The loan sharks come to Egg Fried Rice Restaurant again and caused such a ruckus that the restaurant almost couldn’t open up for business.  Michelin decides to take the responsibility of returning the debt for San Ceng and Wasabi is extremely unhappy over this.  San Ceng excitedly tells them about the one million dollar lunchbox cuisine competition.  He convinces Michelin to enter the contest to win the prize money.  San Ceng believes that since Leng Lie organized this contest and the fact that they are good friends with Xiao Shu, then they would definitely be able to use their back door connections to get an advantage and win the championship.  Yet Michelin absolutely refuses.

            Late into the night and Michelin is still deep in thoughts.  He thought about Leng Lie, Xiao Shu and is worried about San Ceng.  His heart is filled with complicated feelings and in the end, he decides to enter the million dollar lunchbox cooking contest…

Episode 4:

            Michelin begins to try making new dishes.  His culinary skills are starting to improve which surprises everyone.  Michelin thanks Xiao Shu for her guidance for opening up his taste buds.  This night, Michelin takes Xiao Shu home and the two of them are happily chatting with each other.  Leng Lie, who came to look for Xiao Shu, sees them and his emotional state is near its limit.  Leng Lie, who has been trained from childhood by his father to be a chef who shows no emotions, for the first time ever, he doesn’t know how to face himself.

            Michelin successfully passes the preliminary round of the Million Dollar Lunchbox Competition with his egg fried rice.  For the upcoming final round, Michelin, with the help of San Cheng and the village chief, works very hard to improve his culinary skills.  He also has amazing improvements but at this time, Xiao Shu expresses that Michelin’s cooking lacks his own personal style…

            The theme of the Million Dollar Lunchbox Competition is finally announced and the topic is based on the word Happiness.  In order to help Michelin come up with ideas for his Happiness Lunchbox, everyone is thinking long and hard.  Yet while Michelin is searching for his own personal style, he actually comes up with a Super Stinky Tofu Lunchbox…

            The failure of the Super Stinky Tofu Lunchbox causes Michelin to lose all his confidence.  A disappointed Michelin drives around town on his motorcycle and attempts to search for his inspiration for the Happiness Lunchbox.  Michelin bumps into Leng Lie, who is feeling down because of Xiao Shu.  From their meeting, Michelin finds out that Leng Lie is feeling down because he couldn’t celebrate Xiao Shu’s birthday with her.  In order to express his thanks to Leng Lie, Michelin decides to help Leng Lie plan a special birthday party for Xiao Shu…

            This birthday party was planned for Leng Lie and so he cooks all the dishes and food.  Leng Lie’s culinary talent completely astonishes Michelin…

           However, no matter how attentive his methods are, Leng Lie still can’t bring about a change to their relationship.  Instead, Leng Lie feels upset because of Xiao Shu’s cold attitude.  In contrast, Michelin’s straightforward and natural behavior is always able to bring happiness to Xiao Shu.  Leng Lie starts to envy and become jealous of Michelin.  As a result, at Xiao Shu’s birthday party, a fight accidentally breaks out between a drunk Leng Lie and Michelin.

            This fight reveals the deep feelings that they both have for Xiao Shu and also the rivalry between them…

Episode 5:

            In order to help promote Imperial Hotel, Leng Lie manages and plans the Million Dollar Lunchbox Competition with the topic being as “Happiness.”  Leng Lie emphasizes to Leng Zhong Tian that there is some conflict in the Imperial Hotel’s luxurious concept.  When Leng Zhong Tian sees Egg Fried Rice Restaurant, Michelin’s name, he seems to have some recollection of it.

            Michelin, who has been thinking and practicing all day, realizes on his own that the definition of happiness is satisfying the person that you like.  As a result, he decides to ask for Xiao Shu’s opinion.  This action makes both of them aware that they seem to like each other.

            At the venue of the Million Dollar Lunchbox Competition, faced with many experienced competitors, Michelin comes up with a strange strategy which surprises the villagers that came to cheer him on and also arouses everyone’s curiosity.  Michelin shows his culinary talents and explains that simplicity is the definition of happiness.  Although Leng Lie greatly admires this, but he got into a debate with the other judges and in the end, Michelin still lost.

            Having lost the million dollar prize, San Ceng finally reveals the truth that he hoped Michelin would win the prize money in order to help the orphanage with its fundraising.  Finding out this truth, Xiao Shu suggests holding a charity fundraising food event…

Episode 6:

            Xiao Shu wants to invite Imperial Hotel to hold a charity fundraising food event for the orphanage.  Leng Lie immediately agrees and Nancy is happy that Xiao Shu and Leng Lie have an opportunity to further get along in their relationship.  Leng Lie invites Michelin to perform their cooking skills together on the same stage and the others are not optimistic about this idea.  Michelin is grateful for Leng Lie’s support and he is determined to come up with a classical dish that is worthy of being compared to Ghost noodles on the same stage.

            The day before the busy event, Michelin still couldn’t come up with what dish to cook.  The whole house is filled with scallions, oil and pastry skins, making San Ceng and Wasabi lose all confidence.  Unexpectedly, at the charity event, Michelin created Fire noodles, surprising everyone.  It also sold for the same million dollar value as Leng Lie’s Ghost noodles and the person who bought the Fire noodles is actually Leng Lie’s father, Leng Zhong Tian.  Xiao Shu’s performance brings the atmosphere to its highest climax.  Leng Lie and Michelin both swear in their hearts to protect Xiao Shu for the rest of their lives.

            Michelin, who has decided in his heart to protect Xiao Shu, starts to actively take her out on dates but he would always end up making a big funny mess.  Michelin takes Xiao Shu to the movies, ride on the motorcycle and in the end, takes her to a secret hiding place from his childhood.  This place is a place where you can see the rainbow all year round.  Here, Michelin and Xiao Shu shared many things about themselves and their relationship appears to have gotten a lot closer.  However, at this moment, the danger that comes from the darkness, are gradually closing in on them…

Episode 7:

            The next day, Xiao Shu invites Michelin out for dinner in order to repay him for taking her to his secret hiding place.  They coincidentally bump into Leng Lie and Tilly which makes the four of them feel very awkward.  After Michelin takes Xiao Shu home, she suddenly goes missing the next day…

            After investigating, they find out that Xiao Shu is actually kidnapped by a crazy fan.  This makes Michelin feel extremely guilty since he is the last person to be with Xiao Shu.  He swears that no matter what happens he will find the kidnapper but Leng Lei very calmly tells Michelin to cool down.  Michelin doesn’t understand how Leng Lei can be so calm at a time like this.  He frankly points out whether Leng Lei really cares about Xiao Shu at all.

            In fact, Leng Lie is only constraining the uneasiness that he feels.  After being scolded by Michelin, he goes to Xiao Shu’s house all alone.  He is startled to find the kidnapper coming back to get Xiao Shu’s things…  As a result, Leng Lei follows the kidnapper and even gets into a fight with the kidnapper which causes Leng Lie to be seriously injured.  However, in order to not cause Xiao Shu any worries, he hides the fact that he is hurt.  Getting seriously wounded while saving Xiao Shu, Leng Lie gradually becomes unconscious from losing too much blood.  Xiao Shu is close to breaking down and shouts loudly.  She hugs Leng Lie tightly and doesn’t want to let go.  At the most crucial moment, Michelin arrives to save Leng Lie and Xiao Shu.

            Leng Lie’s condition worsens after being sent to the hospital.  Xiao Shu insists on staying by his side.  Even though Leng Zhong Tian uses harsh words to wish that Xiao Shu would stay far away from Leng Lie, Xiao Shu would still not cooperate.  The media starts to create a big story reporting that Leng Lie is injured over love and on his relationship with Xiao Shu.

            The doctor announces that Leng Lie’s condition has worsened and he tells the family members to be prepared.  Xiao Shu gets down on her knees to beg Leng Zhong Tian to let her see Leng Lie.  Michelin also makes a sincere wish to the rainbow in hopes that Leng Lie would get better…

Episode 8:

            Perhaps it was Michelin’s wish to the rainbow that Xiao Shu can find true love, together with Xiao Shu’s own sincere cry that brought a sign of life back to Leng Lie.  Leng Lie finally passes the critical stage and gradually recovers.  In front of everyone, Xiao Shu swears her determination to Leng Zhong Tian that she will do everything she can to take care of Leng Lie, making Michelin face the truth that Xiao Shu may leave him forever.

            Leng Lie injured his hand while saving Xiao Shu and the doctor diagnosed that temporarily, it won’t be able to heal completely.  Leng Lie receives a big shock because of this and Xiao Shu feels even more remorseful.  Their original situations seem to have reversed.  Xiao Shu insists on staying with Leng Lie but Leng Lie is afraid that Xiao Shu is staying with him because she feels responsible and this is what he wishes least of all.

            Michelin is suffering from Xiao Shu’s change of heart and he drowns himself with alcohol.  Moreover, he gets into fights but after Wasabi’s efforts, he realizes that this is all arranged by fate.  He immediately pulls himself together and goes to find Leng Lie and Xiao Shu.  In front of the two of them, Michelin expresses that he considers Leng Lie his friend but at the same time, he will absolutely not give up Xiao Shu because of this.

            Michelin’s passionate announcement is an earth shattering shock to Leng Lie and Xiao Shu.  Leng Lei generously expresses his admiration for Michelin to Xiao Shu but at the same time, he points out that he can feel the special feelings that Xiao Shu has towards Michelin.  Xiao Shu can’t explain this and her feelings are also affected…

            Leng Lie, whose hand has still not completely healed yet, is anxiously to resume his cooking.  The strict Leng Zhong Tian feels bad and decides to make the special dish for his son – shredded pork with pickled vegetable noodles…

Episode 9:

            Michelin’s feelings for Xiao Shu grow with each passing day yet he couldn’t help but be curious to the difference on how Xiao Shu feels toward Leng Lie and himself.  Seeing the close relationship between Michelin and Xiao Shu, Nancy urges Leng Lie to hurry up and make his move.

            Michelin, who wants to compete with Leng Lie, makes a dish of Dongpo’s pork for Xiao Shu to taste.  Leng Lie, who just arrived also, makes the same dish to show off his skills.  The competition between the two of them is rather obvious.

            When taking Xiao Shi home, Leng Lie couldn’t help but ask the question that has been within his heart.  However, Xiao Shu faints and gets hastily sent to the hospital.

            Everyone is extremely worried and can only wait for Xiao Shu’s examination.  At the hospital, Xiao Shu suddenly realizes that she can see Nancy.  Although the doctor needs to do further testing, but Xiao Shu is wrapped up in happiness over her temporary restored vision… 

            The first thing that Xiao Shu wants to do after she has regained her vision is to go to Egg Fried Rice Restaurant and see Michelin.  The mischievous Xiao Shu pretends to still be blind to see what everyone’s reaction is.  The sudden news of her regaining her sight has everyone surprised and happy at the same time.  Nancy, who is waiting outside, also decides that at this moment, Leng Lie, who is in school, should be told the news of Xiao Shu’s regained vision.  When Leng Lie gets the phone call, he is also extremely happy and immediately rushes over to Egg Fried Rice Restaurant.

            After seeing the doctor and finding out that regaining her vision would lead to endangering her life, Xiao Shu postponed the date to be hospitalized for further testing.  In order to make Xiao Shu forget her fear, Leng Lie and Michelin, decides to make her wish come true and take her around to lift her spirits…

Episode 10:

            Leng Lie is not willing to give up on any hope and like in the past, tries diligently to find a cure for Xiao Shu.  However, he finds out that Xiao Shu’s condition is even more serious than her previous report…

            After finding out that Michelin took Xiao Shu out, Leng Lie lost control and had a huge argument with Michelin in front of Xiao Shu.  Xiao Shu understands that Leng Lie is worried about her but she couldn’t understand why Leng Lie had such a big reaction over it and even said that she is determined not to return to the darkness.  Not willing to tell Xiao Shu the truth, Leng Lie could only tell Michelin that Xiao Shu’s condition has worsened.  As long as Xiao Shu starts to see things more clearly, this means that she is getting closer to death…  Unexpectedly, Xiao Shu accidently overhears this news but she pretends that she didn’t hear it and constrains her own pain as she doesn’t want the both of them to be worried…

            The two of them take turns looking after Xiao Shu which causes her to feel like she’s suffocating.  The next day, Xiao Shu leaves a note and decides to temporarily hide from everyone so that she can clear her own feelings.  Xiao Shu finds out that the more everyone treats her well, the more she wants to escape.  Yet she finds that she has no where else to run to because the one place that she wants to go is the place where Leng Lie, Michelin, Nancy and the rest of the gang are – the place where there is love.  Xiao Shu decides to go back and accept the risk of the operation.  During the power outage that night, Xiao Shu hugs Michelin tightly and cries her heart out.  Everyone finds out that Xiao Shu, who has always pretended to be strong, has been facing the fear of losing her vision alone.

            Michelin wants Xiao Shu to know that he will always be by her side but he didn’t know how to go about telling her.  As a result, he proposed to her and gets rejected by Xiao Shu.  Xiao Shu expresses that she understands Michelin’s good intentions, but she still has lots of things to do before the operation.  Xiao Shu looks for Jerry and tells him that she wants to make a collective album and then donate all the proceeds to help the blind people and the weak children that are far away.

            On the other hand, Leng Lie’s junior, the young, beautiful and talented, Qiu Lin, who is a well-known chef internationally, returns to the country.  She keeps on telling the media that when she and Leng Lie were dating, he stole her ghost noodle recipe which led to his many awards at numerous culinary competitions.  She checks in to Imperial Hotel and wants to have a competition with Leng Lie.  Leng Zhong Tian is worried that Leng Lie’s reputation will be damaged.  Leng Lie doesn’t want to get into a conflict with Qiu Lin and believes that the end will justify the means.  Moreover, a ghost noodle really is created by him and so there is no doubt about it…

Episode 11:

            Qiu Lin is stirring up lots of trouble at Imperial Hotel and so Leng Lie has no choice but to come out and take care of things.  Qiu Lin thought that Leng Lie refused to be with her because of the blind Xiao Shu and since he can’t be with Guan Xiao Shu anymore, then he could come back to Qiu Lin again?  Leng Lie honestly tells Qiu Lin that regardless if there is a Guan Xiao Shu or not, there is no chance between him and Qiu Lin.  These words make the hatred within Qiu Lin grow and she decides that she will have Leng Lie no matter what it takes.

            Qiu Lin has a talk with Leng Zhong Tian and he finds out that she has the Sheng Tan recipe that he has been longing for.  Furthermore, she also holds a secret of Leng Zhong Tian’s that no one knows about…

            It turns out that many years ago, in order to get the Sheng Tan recipe, Leng Zhong Tian accidentally caused the death of his fellow classmate, Bei Li Ni Jia Rui.  This has been the only secret within Leng Zhong Tian’s heart, but unexpectedly Qiu Lin would find out about it.

            Qiu Lin issues a challenge in front of media towards Leng Lie.  In order to defend his own reputation, Leng Lie shows up and accepts the challenge.  However, he lost to Qiu Lin who has mastered the skills from the Sheng Tan recipe.  Because of this, the rumor of Leng Lie stealing Qiu Lin’s “ghost noodle” recipe becomes more and more intense.  It is damaging to Leng Lie and also brings about a crisis for Leng Shi Enterprise.  However, Leng Zhong Tian didn’t blame Leng Lie and their usual cold relationship turns for the better.  Unexpectedly this is the beginning of a tragedy…

            In order to prove that Leng Lie is innocent and also to take responsibility for his own actions many years ago, Leng Zhong Tian takes his own life.  This causes Leng Lie an enormous amount of pain.  He gets caught up in guilt and no one is able to get close to him…

            Xiao Shu is extremely worried and because Michelin has experienced the pain of losing a father before, he understands Leng Lie’s feelings.  As a result, Michelin suppresses his own feelings and encourages Xiao Shu to stay by Leng Lie’s side at the time when he needs her the most…  However, he doesn’t know that he would almost lose Xiao Shu because of this…

Episode 12:

            Under tremendous pain, Leng Lie receives Xiao Shu’s encouragement and support.  But losing the only family he has, Leng Lie is even more afraid to lose Xiao Shu.  This kind of uneasy fear urges Leng Lie to kiss Xiao Shu while his emotions are running wild.  However, this scene is unexpectedly witnessed by Michelin!?

            Michelin misunderstands Leng Lie and Xiao Shu’s relationship and in order to give them his blessings, Michelin decides to run far away so that they won’t have any second thoughts about not getting together because of him.  He didn’t know that after Leng Lie’s confession, Xiao Shu finally discovers her true feelings… actually the one that she loves is Michelin.

            However, having to face a life or death operation soon, Xiao Shu couldn’t tell Michelin her real feelings.  As a result of this, they two of them stats to grow further and further apart.  Michelin makes up his mind to leave and he decides on the date before Xiao Shu’s operation.  He concentrates on training San Ceng on how to make fried rice so that San Ceng can take over Egg Fried Rice Restaurant.  He even decides to give a gift to Xiao Shu before he leaves.  Xiao Shu has a party before her operation but Michelin didn’t attend…

            San Ceng complains to Leng Lie that he is just not made to manage a restaurant and hopes that Leng Lie can buy Egg Fried Rice Restaurant.  It is then that Leng Lie finds out that Michelin has left and he hastily tells Xiao Shu.  Xiao Shu rushes to the pier but the ship that Michelin is on has already left.

            Xiao Shu is very upset.  Wasabi is angry that Xiao Shu would kiss Leng Lie and now miss Michelin.  Leng Lie then tells everyone that the kissed happened because he was emotionally distraught at that time and Xiao Shu didn’t tell Michelin because she doesn’t want him to bear the pain of the results from her uncertain surgery.  Leng Lie decides that no matter what he will get Michelin back to Xiao Shu’s side.

            San Ceng, Wasabi and the others painstakingly wait for news from the ship company.  Xiao Shu makes Leng Lie promise that if the operation fails, then he must not let Michelin know that she loves him because the silly Michelin will sure not marry anyone else in this lifetime.  Leng Lie comforts Xiao Shu and tells her that the operation will definitely succeed.  The first person that she sees when she opens her eyes will definitely be Michelin.

            Before the surgery, they are finally able to make contact with the ship company.  The ship starts to turn around and bring Michelin back.  On the operation table, Xiao Shu is worried and San Ceng and Wasabi are waiting at the pier round the clock while Leng Lie and Nancy are waiting anxiously outside the operation room…

            Michelin finally makes it back but the results of Xiao Shu’s surgery are still unknown.  Michelin continues to pray, believing that the rainbow will promise to protect Xiao Shu…

            A love story that began because of a plate of egg fried rice, under the protection of the mysterious rainbow, will come to an end now…
